I can't remember the last time I decided to just nope out of the final season of a show I spent years being locked into...
But Gen V being cancelled, and all of the zionism stuff with Amazon and just the actual show, and the sinking feeling that it was going to be aggressively mid just stole the last of my fucks to give about The Boys. But here are my thoughts based on pop culture osmosis alone
A Train had hands down the best and most well rounded arc in the show and it isn't close
I don't really care about Annie and Hughie's relationship anymore but glad they're happy, I guess (also wish there weren't a baby involved now but it's whatever)
Homelander begging like a little bitch after sadly failing to fly away was very funny
Sister Sage's whole thing was a disappointment (but Susan Heyward is hilarious especially as dumb Sage)
I don't care that Frenchie died
Am I supposed to care about Firecracker? Her storyline seemed like an interesting character study of a grifter who winds up discarded when she's no longer useful but am I like, supposed to care about her? Because...
It's cute that MM adopted Ryan and glad my goat made it.
The Gen V cameos amounted to next to nothing and apparently Jordan didn't even get to shift?
Turning a huge part of the final season into a backdoor pilot for another spinoff was... a choice
