Kendall sniffed and looked into Darcy’s eyes as the dancer moved her heir out of her face. “You and me both…” She laughed dryly.

"Can’t you let them get me to leave soon?" Leighton asked almost starting to tear up.

Leighton stopped walking and looked at Darcy. “Really? I know you hate it when I worked 14 hour days… How are you really holding up without me being there?”

Darcy's smile fell as her throat immediately tightened and she shook her head, shutting her eyes. "Please don't ask me that.." she choked out almost silently.
