Shop Update- Display table

As promised here's a follow-up pic showing the transformation of two whiskey barrels into display tables. The barrels were elevated on a simple round table and filled with hay. A cylinder vase in the center holds a silk flower arrangement topped by a round glass table top.

We couldn't wait to place some products on top for a preview!

Good Eats!

Sometimes I get a craving for cheese and only La Parilla Mexican Restaurant will do -- they has several locations around the Atlanta metro area-- is a great stop for fast delicious Mexican food.

I dropped by recently and got my favorite -- The Chimichanga pictured above. It comes drowning in queso with a side tortilla dish filled with sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes. Needless to say, I did not have leftovers.

I highly recommend La Parilla for good food and quick solid service.

Shop Update

With all the paperwork and logistics of purchasing a shop out of the way we can now get down to the fun part--decorating!! Slowly but surely we're gathering items to be used in the Darcy's Botanical retail shop.

The Future Home of Darcy's Botanicals

I'm excited to announce the opening of a brick-and-mortar store for Darcy's Botanicals in downtown Powder Springs GA! This charming building was formerly a coffee shop. We hope to maintain some of the charm of the original setting while still making it our own. We are currently in the process of readying for a grand opening in September and can't wait to share our hard work with everyone!

Good eats!- Desta Ethiopian Restaurant

Desta is one of my favorite places to eat in the Atlanta Metro area. They serve authentic Ethiopian food meaning the meat is spicy and flavorful and everything is served with traditional spongey bread called injera which serves as your fork and spoon. The service is always on point and the food is delicious.

Pictured our our favorites (Clockwise from top left): Exterior, Fish Tibs, Beef Tibs and Lamb Tibs. All were served with a side of house salad with a tangy, lemon dressing.

At the movies -- Prometheus

I checked out Promtheus this weekend. It was quite a visual spectacle in Imax 3-D. It posed some interesting questions about the origins of humanity but ultimately raised more questions than it answered. It's still very much worth a look. All of the actors did a fine job although many characters weren't given a whole lot to do. The David android character reminded me why the idea of robots creep me out. I don't think I want to see technology go t
