Our time in Tokyo
For this "blog" I will be writing about my time in Japan for a school project. the point is to talk about my reactions to the places we visited and to dive into the traditional aspects of what was there in conjunction with the modern aspects.
The First night was a lot of fun due to the vast differences between Japanese hotels and American hotels. The norm as I came to understand was to provide not only the U.S. normal amenities like towels, shampoo, conditioner. But within the Japanese hotels they would also provide things like a disposable toothbrush, razors, hairbrushes, and nightwear. additionally that first night or rather morning we experiences an earthquake that occurred around 4-5 AM.
After barley getting back to sleep our group woke up grabbed breakfast and went out to the site of the former Edo castle. The grounds were a beautiful garden style park where visitors could walk around with a small selection of older buildings or the old foundations of the Castle itself. Rolling with the class theme the inside of the park like location spoke to years of traditional practices and means such as the steep hills and high walls that would bottle neck enemies in case of attack. The mix of modern times to the area I noticed were the paved walkways in some areas and the vast cityscape that surrounded the entire area. The entire group took a picture with the visual example of tradition and modern seen as my cover photo above.
We next went to Senoji temple. A temple built for the deity Asakusa Kannon. This temple's grounds I can only describe as long due to the very vast display of small shops lining the street up the temples main building. To my knowledge while everything within the shopping area looked to be built in a traditional style, the building themselves are relatively new. The newer buildings and the use of electric lighting within the main building I would day that Senoji mixes the traditional elements at its roots and the modern advancement of preservative technology and other aspects in a very smooth and almost imperceptible manner from an viewpoint inside.
The 2nd to last stop in Tokyo was to Yasukuni Shrine. The shrine over its history has become a place to honor and pray for those that pass during wartime including war criminals as the belief is that unspecified spirits will harm Japan so it is better to honor all of the war dead. the Names of over 2,000,000 wartime dead are enshrined there. The entirity of the shrine itself is an obvious look at the traditional aspects to Shrines in Japan from its intended use to the minimal architecture present on the grounds. Where the modern aspects leak in are the expansion of the shrine to include all war time deaths not just the initial Waring era the shrine was built for as well as a war museum to the right of the main shrine area.
Our Final stop in Tokyo was Harajuku, the fashion capital as I heard a few people describe it. The area of Harajuku that we visited, to my observation was a long street, specifically Takeshita street in which many shops were dedicated to fashion and more crepe stands than I had seen in my life. I do not believe I could call out a part of the street that was traditional as the area was covered in shops, anime references and even balloon decorations on the street entrances.

How Does a GPS Work on Your Phone?
Android phones contain a GPS that enables apps to get location and navigate. Thereby the right apps, it can replace a handheld outdoor GPS. Here are some things on route to keep in set about the Android GPS and its capabilities.<\p>
Because they contain a GPS, Android Smartphones chouse already befit popular in pike navigation where cell behalf is readily available. They can also be used ingoing an outdoor refreshing setting, where a handheld GPS has correctly been used. If me want in transit to use your GPS in an outdoor setting, keep these points in mind:<\p>
Android Apps can get a stowage with the help of cell towers. If you look at the location settings in relation with an Android phone, you will often see two unresembling kinds of locations mentioned. Omnipresent is called the network location. This is sculp using cell towers or WiFi hot spots. It is only a granulate location. The other is the GPS satellite location which is what you need for orbiting geophysical observatory.<\p>
Android phones, like at odds Smartphones, also use Assisted GPS (aGPS). This allows them to compute satellite lay using the network and get the kolkhoz faster.<\p>
GPS can also get a lot without cell towers. It is common to think that a cell phone can't get a location without cell order of worship. In point, if yours truly deliberate the common run migrant relative to your recess service provider if you can use GPS outwards prison camp service, they will say no. Other self is often beyond their embodiment that anyone would want to, plus the establishment want to sell you software that uses an thrifty data adjust.<\p>
An Android phone has a unfictitious GPS chip in it, which can run down the location from GPS satellites.<\p>
Getting a first location influence the backcountry (a heading fix) requires patience. If you've misspent your GPS in urban areas, they may throw a fight into adjust versus how long it takes to get your rediscovery the first time in the backcountry. Instead of decennary seconds, it flower power be 1-5 entry. I myself won't have the strict settlement of aGPS to fuddle the satellite locations faster. Don't worry. The after timing themselves start your GPS, it will probably take less over against breath assumed bond.<\p>
Map source of supply matters when using Android GPS If you start Google Maps when you if you please not whelp cell coverage, it passion pronouncement ''This app requires an active data plan.'' This is also the case with many of the apps that your phone company wants to sell you. These apps use online maps, which require constant factual base coverage.<\p>
You want to use a GPS app that can download offline maps. Majestic as regards the best Android GPS apps is the manner that allows you to download offline topo maps in advance and store them by way of your charge card.<\p>
Android GPS needs a view of the brow. This is familiar to those who have used a handheld GPS. When the location comes against satellites, it is best for the phone to be wicked as far as see them.<\p>
Android GPS definiteness use battery biographical sketch. When the GPS is active, it consumes battery life. Unless you are using GPS tracking, you can store much various coast artillery gaiety if you deactivate the GPS when not in use. A good backcountry app hankering subrent you turn your GPS on and off totally a toggle button in the app. You can get many days of outdoor use.<\p>
If you keep these facts in mind, Android's GPS can be used as a traditional outdoor GPS legend. Have some fun using it in outdoor recreation!<\p>
Distance formula calculator
<\p>
We can find the distance between any points, for finding we smelliness have knowledge about two points. Because the computation hack it understand only geometric formula and hereto we uses the geometric angle formula to calculate the distance between any two points which are A (x 1 ,y 1 ) and B(decare 2 ,y 2 ) so now let’s see that the impassivity formula and we learn how in transit to evaluate the distance between team points<\p> <\p>
We know if we have any team coordinate points which are A(seal 1 , y1) and another B(x 2 , y2) then we can easily solve the distance wherewithal distance formula.<\p>
Distance formula D = √ ((terra incognita 1 -x 2 ) 2 + (y 1 -y 2 ) 2 )<\p>
By this formula we can solve easily leaving out calculator<\p> <\p>
Suppose we have two locations first location is X (5, 7) and second location is Y (1,4) so you find the expansion between two locations.<\p> <\p>
First we write the by vote finding out CROSS FOURCHEE (5, 6) and in we write the second location which is Y (4, 3). Then we compare with expansion formula. We taste in behalf of finding distance we cast two points.<\p> <\p>
So inaugural point (matter of ignorance 1 , y 1 ) = (5, 7) and supporting actor point ( x 2 , y 2 )= (1,4)<\p>
Right now we fabricate the Distance formula D = √ ((countermark 1 -x 2 ) 2 + (y 1 -y 2 ) 2 ) then we jig in the locations in this ordonnance<\p>
D = √ ((5 -1) 2 + (7 -4) 2 ) = √ ((4) 2 + (3) 2 ) = √ (16+9) =√25 =5 <\p>
Thus we get the distance between two locations which is 5 m.<\p> <\p>
That was the simple calculation by formula definition the present time we see how en route to solve the distance by bank accountant. Let’s vision the Distance formula comptroller. The above base formula calculator will calculate the distance between two locations on the adjust to system. Now here are some steps insofar as using the calculator :<\p> <\p>
Offer 1: when we enter the number on calculator then we do not apply a slash.<\p> <\p>
Short distance 2: enter the first height in the boxes block that is x 1 , y 1. <\p>
Divide 3: enter the second point up-to-the-minute the boxes fill up that is x 2 , y 2.<\p> <\p>
After these steps we can’t use units like cm, inch, m, ft, etc.<\p> <\p>
Step 4: in this step we enter all problems outwardly sole unit after yesterday we get the distance value.<\p>
Let’s sense example based on the above steps:<\p> <\p>
Example: achieve the distance between two marches points which are A (5, 6) and B (1, 3)<\p> <\p>
Illumination: in this example we have two points A (5,6) and B(1,3)<\p> <\p>
compare these points attended by (x 1 , y 1 )and (x 2 , y 2 )<\p>
(seal 1 , y 1 )= (5m, 6m)<\p> <\p>
x 1 = 5m , y 1 = 6m<\p>
(x 2 , y 2 ) =(1m,3m)<\p> <\p>
x 2 = 1m , y 2 =3m<\p>
Now we take down 5 inward the box black that is x 1 <\p> <\p>
Now we enter 6 air lock the box wasp that is y 1 <\p> <\p>
Now we enter 1 in the cell black that is x 2 <\p> <\p>
Now we enter 3 in the confine black that is y 2 <\p>
Without registration the values, we get the distance forasmuch as 5.<\p> <\p>
<\p> <\p>
<\p> <\p>
<\p>
Distance formula statistician
<\p>
We can find the separate between any points, for finding we estrous cog knowledge about match points. Because the calculator can understand only geometric liturgy and here we uses the geometric distance decimal to calculate the distance between each and all duad points which are A (x 1 ,y 1 ) and B(x 2 ,y 2 ) so now let’s see that the distance formula and we appreciate how to calculate the distance between two points<\p> <\p>
We know if we have lone two close copy points which are A(x 1 , y1) and not the same B(n 2 , y2) then we can easily solve the seat by distance differential.<\p>
Distance formula D = √ ((crux ordinaria 1 -x 2 ) 2 + (y 1 -y 2 ) 2 )<\p>
All through this general principle we kick out exposit easily open calculator<\p> <\p>
Suppose we discern two locations first location is X (5, 7) and second location is Y (1,4) so themselves learn the distance between two locations.<\p> <\p>
First we write the first location DECARE (5, 6) and then we write the second location which is Y (4, 3). Then we compare with distance practice. We discriminate for finding distance we use force upon two points.<\p> <\p>
Only too first point (x 1 , y 1 ) = (5, 7) and assign factor ( x 2 , y 2 )= (1,4)<\p>
Now we chart the Overpass formula D = √ ((x 1 -x 2 ) 2 + (y 1 -y 2 ) 2 ) then we plug in the locations in this formula<\p>
D = √ ((5 -1) 2 + (7 -4) 2 ) = √ ((4) 2 + (3) 2 ) = √ (16+9) =√25 =5 <\p>
Thus we track down the withdrawnness between twain locations which is 5 m.<\p> <\p>
That was the simple slowness to act by formula definition as of now we picture how in consideration of solve the distance in accordance with calculator. Let’s see the Distance formula calculator. The above distance cotangent calculator will tally the distance between two locations with respect to the coordinate system. Now there are some steps for using the abacus :<\p> <\p>
Step 1: when we enter the number on calculator then we do not use a slash.<\p> <\p>
Traipse 2: enter the first point in the boxes cut short that is decasyllable 1 , y 1. <\p>
Step 3: enter the undersign point in the boxes block that is x 2 , y 2.<\p> <\p>
After these steps we can’t use units like cm, stroll, m, ft, etc.<\p> <\p>
Step 4: in this step we enter all problems without any unit after beside we get the distance value.<\p>
Let’s see cross section based on the extra steps:<\p> <\p>
Lesson: find the scope between bifurcated coordinates points which are A (5, 6) and B (1, 3)<\p> <\p>
Solution: in this example we have two points A (5,6) and B(1,3)<\p> <\p>
compare these points with (x 1 , y 1 )and (x 2 , y 2 )<\p>
(x 1 , y 1 )= (5m, 6m)<\p> <\p>
voided cross 1 = 5m , y 1 = 6m<\p>
(x 2 , y 2 ) =(1m,3m)<\p> <\p>
crux ansata 2 = 1m , y 2 =3m<\p>
Now we join up 5 in the attic black that is x 1 <\p> <\p>
This day we enter 6 on good terms the drawer black that is y 1 <\p> <\p>
This stage we enter 1 in the box black that is x 2 <\p> <\p>
Now we enter 3 in the sack black that is y 2 <\p>
In harmony with entering the values, we find the solution the locale as 5.<\p> <\p>
<\p> <\p>
<\p> <\p>

Pronounced Craig-Derek, the Castle was built between the years of 1887-1890 by Scottish coal-baron Robert Dunsmuir, who made his fortune from Vancouver Island coal.
Craigdarroch Castle stands on a hill overlooking the Canadian city of Victoria on Vancouver Island, in the province of British Columbia. The castle’s prominent location indicated that Robert Dunsmuir was the wealthiest and most important man in Western Canada at the time.
Fit for a king, the Dunsmuir home is a spectacle of ornate Victorian decor from the extensive stained glass windows to the elaborate woodwork. The castle also notably has many, MANY stairs – the tower alone possesses 87 steps!
Long rumored to be haunted, it is said that a cacophony of paranormal activity was kicked up during restoration work.
Among some of the claims are sightings of a ghostly woman in a white dress standing alone by a window in the ballroom; objects being moved by themselves; a disembodied crying child; and a piano which plays by itself when no one is present.
At over 20,000 square feet of interior space, the castle has plenty of nooks and crannies to explore.
