Sound Files Completed & Need Editing
Environment (Recorded with top head Zoom H5) General Sheffield City Sounds 4pm rush hours (Crowds, Footsteps, Cars buzzing by) Wildlife sounds (wind, birds, background noise)

Sound editing techniques / So Far
I have finished recording my external sounds (wildlife, city centre) now I need to make my music in pro tools using a midi keyboard. I need to keep an eye out for the dynamic range.
Sound editing techniques will be used, like reverb, EQ adjustments for a more bass driven or dryer sound. These will be used when necessary like a slow motion shot or close encounters to add tension to the scene, or in the middle of the battle to add the beat.
Reasoning for Sound Design Project
A creative piece showing one of my favourite anime character Roronoa Zoro about what this character means to me. Zoro usually maintains a stern, serious, and distanced personality, but often loses his temper in a goofy and exaggerated comical style. It would seem, however, that this anger is the only emotion that Zoro often feels comfortable showing. Outside of situations where he feels confident in battle, he rarely smiles or laughs.
He has a strong sense of leadership and reasoning. While technically not a samurai, Zoro maintains Bushido (The way of the warrior) to a certain degree (e.g. he consistently refuses to attack an adversary whose back is turned, the only exception being when his friends are in imminent danger of losing their lives in which Zoro would strike the attacker from behind, and Zoro himself considers a scar on the back to be a swordsman's greatest shame).
This music video will show you how bad ass Zoro is and I will try to show that though music.
So Far...
I have been experimenting with my suspended strings, it sounds like bits of Legend of Zelda with the tension building. Basically its violins with the attack increased with a LoFi stereo delay to make this feeling its slowly building up when its just one chord is been played.
I have finished recording my forest recordings for both beginning and end of my piece. i just need to record the busy city centre scene.
Sound Design Brief
My idea for this sound design is to create a cinematic music using ambient sounds, using a midi keyboard to create the instruments and recording ambient soundtracks to fit the certain scenes.
I want my cinematic music to describe the effects on the listens imagination when you listen to the music.
Cinematic music is probably one of the most versatile kinds of music. It can be with or with out vocals, minimal and orchestral, heavy and distorted, ridiculously drawn out or ridiculously short, electronic or any combination of these characteristics and with pretty much any instrumentation.

This youtube channel shows or plays music that can be used or as been used for trailer music. It provides many songs that vary from Powerful Vocal Rock songs to Beautiful Inspirational Drama, so this is a good start for me to research for my Sound Project.
Initial idea
My idea for my sound project is to create Trailer music with ambient sounds to make an journey of highs and lows with sudden sound drops (no sound) to in-depth of sound (multi layer).
Session Two - Zooms/Pro Tools 11
In this weeks session I was tasked to test if I knew if i can record and edit sound on Pro Tool 11.
Also I used a brand new piece of kit today called Zoom H5. Before I used the Zoom H4 the difference is unbelievable like the preamps are noticeable quieter on the H5 than the H4. Preamps is short for pre-amplifier and that is a electronic amplifier that prepares a small electrical signal for further amplification or processing. A pre-amplifier is often placed close to the sensor to reduce the effects of noise and interference, which for the Zooms its built-in.
For me I was doing ambient type recording for my last sound project and i could tell the preamps which kind of ruined the sound I was looking for.
Anyway me and Josh went to recorded an urban sound to a sound trip to the Pelican Crossing (Traffic Lights) and add foot steps for tile and concrete noises and a button sound.
Then I put them together to create a sound journey to the traffic lights using the EQ setting to create high and low frequency for the foot steps and background noises.
Session One - Introduction/Recap
In today session I relearn about how sound is important
The Ear consists of three parts:-
The outer ear consists of the pinna, ear canal and eardrum
The middle ear consists of the ossicles (malleus, incus, stapes) and ear drum
The inner ear consists of the cochlea, the auditory (hearing) nerve and the brain
Sound waves enter the ear canal and make the ear drum vibrate. This action moves the tiny chain of bones (ossicles - malleus, incus, stapes) in the middle ear. The last bone in this chain 'knocks' on the membrane window of the cochlea and makes the fluid in the cochlea move. The fluid movement then triggers a response in the hearing nerve.
Radio frequency radiation is usually measured in kilohertz (kHz), megahertz (MHz), or gigahertz (GHz).
