“Breaking the Silence on NGOs in Africa”

From pushing charter schools, to selling school buildings to developers for petty bourgeois/managerial class housing (think top 5-10%), to banning young people without chaperones from Market Square, Pittsburgh’s capital and managerial classes, (the latter I’ve been a member of) have applied a lot of neoliberal policies to Pittsburgh with the idea that “the market” would lift it out of its crisis when it was the market that put it in crisis to begin with. This reliance on the market is part of the story of why nonprofits play such a heavy role here (which i've fully worked in for 20+ years) since they rely on the market/Wall Street.

I’d only add “capitalist racism/racial capitalism” to the above quote on capitalism’s relationship to neoliberalism, because world over capitalism functions hand in hand, expresses, racism and vice versa.
