| 23 | Half-Demon | Half-Witch | Fully Broken | ---------------------------- “They say I have my father’s eyes, but I wouldn’t know. They say I have my mother’s soul, but I know that isn’t so.”
Morgana grumbled with her eyes shut, waving her hand in hopes of closing the damn blinds. She cursed the sun ten times over before letting out a heavy sigh. She lifted herself up into a seated position before opening her eyes. “What the..” she muttered out the words in a practically inaudible manner. Looking around, there were clouds, food, wine, and people as far as her eyes could see. Bringing herself to her feet, she was met with something far stronger than confusion. “Where the..” She ran her hand across the... ground. “I have an uncomfortably dark feeling about this unbelievably bright place...”
“ no, i don’t know what that is. ” she’s not even really looking, trying to get a signal from her phone before she pockets it. “ and no, i don’t think you should touch it. ” her voice drips with sarcasm. if she’s going to hear that question forty times before they stop floating on this cloud, she’s going to throw herself off it voluntarily.
Morgana watched the girl respond haphazardly to the guy playing twenty-one questions and fought the chuckle building in the back of her throat. “You look completely unphased by all of this...” she stated, meaning to keep the observation in her head but clearly failing. An unusual behavior for her, but she opted to followthrough. “Do you frequent places from mythology so much that you’re bored or do you take this laid back approach to most things?”
He gave a light amused look at such a proclamation. “I don’t think thats too far off.” He noted, eyes darting over their background and what surrounded them. Minthe was… struggling. He wanted to have fun, he wanted drink some more, he wanted to have a good time but… but he hesitated. Neither Persephone or Hades was around. It was worrying. He gave a light chuckle at her. She took a handful of grapes and it made Minthe yearn for some of his own. “I never dreamed I’d be able to see Mount Olympus.” It was the place that kicked out Hades, and Persephone to a degree. “Yeah, everyone seems to be having a blast.” He agreed. “What about you though? Are you having a good time?”
Morgana accidentally let a smirk escape her lips at the idea. "I appreciate the attempt at throwing me a win, but something tells me I'm more likely to find guys running around in their underwear than flying babies in diapers." She continued to eat the grapes, feeling a building slight frustration with the lack of satisfaction. "Now, that, I can agree with. I never dreamed I would be here..." She took another glance around. Obviously, she was curious about how she managed to get here, but she also wondered HOW she could stand here. Her eyes shifted toward the cloudy ground with a cocked brow. "Honestly, I kind of expected I'd burn a hole through whatever spot I was standing in eventually." The question simple but loaded. Morgana spent most of her time trying to control herself, so having a good time wasn't exactly her forte. "Yeah... of course. I always enjoy getting my jiggy on... after waking up somewhere unfamiliar..." Reaching for an entire plate, she finally took a good look at the guy. "...Do you know how you got here?"
“This has to be some sort of joke.” Piper snorted as she wandered around Olympus, surveying all of the food and drink that you could indulge in. The last thing she remembered was…falling asleep? And then she woke up here. She’d been a goddess before and it hadn’t turned out well for anybody so she certainly didn’t want to stay here longer than she had to.
“When do I get to go home?” She called out to no one in particular.
“Care to share the punch line?” she questioned with a tone that unbeknownst to her paid tribute to the Halliwell sarcasm. Morgana sat on a throne with her legs tossed over the right arm of the chair while she swirled the wine in her glass with an utterly disinterested look on her face. Not unfamiliar with the situations magic could get you into, Morgana had just spent the last two hours trying to find her way around the place. And, though it was obvious she was on Mount Olympus, her exit strategy wasn’t so clear. She rolled her eyes before taking her first sip of wine, resigning to the idea that she may be here a while. “Try talking to the manager. Might get you an inch further than nowhere...” As she finished speaking, Morgana glanced over in order to punctuate the sarcasm in her tone, but it quickly faded. The woman looked familiar. Uncomfortably familiar. Morgana stared at the woman longer than she intended before quickly looking back at her glass. It can’t be, Morgana thought to herself. The woman she had seen in pictures with her mother. Her one of her mother’s sisters. Piper. No, I’m seeing things.
Morgana cleared her throat and got up from the throne, making sure to not make eye contact with the woman again. “Best to get comfortable. From what I’ve seen, there’s no going home right now,” she spoke with her head hung low as she walked past Piper toward the wine.
“so THIS is mount olympus?” minthe balked at the sight surrounding him. the golden thrones, the almost cloudlike floor, all the food and wine, and everyone seemingly having so much fun— “i don’t know what i expected.”
"I expected flying chubby babies.” Morgana hung over the food and responded to the voice. She never really had a big appetite, but she swore the more she ate here the hungrier she got... or the more she wanted. Honestly, she was having a hard time telling the difference. Looking up toward the unfamiliar figure, she tilted her head slightly. “I know I shouldn’t but I still kind of assumed there would be at least one flying around.” Morgana took a handful of grapes and fully turned toward him. “But, yes, my guess is that this...” She gestured around herself. “... would be Mount Olympus. I’d ask the welcome wagon but it seems they’re too busy having a ball.”
It's unfortunate that when we feel a storm
We can roll ourselves over 'cause we're uncomfortable
Oh well, the devil makes us sin
But we like it when we're spinning in his grip
Morgana Ivy Turner was thought to be the vanquished unborn child of Cole Turner and Phoebe Halliwell.
She was conceived while Cole was in the process of becoming the Source of all Evil and Phoebe was a Charmed one.
In regards to family lineage, Morgana comes from a long line of high level demons on the paternal side of her family. As for the maternal side of her family, Morgana lays claim to the Warren Witch line and would have technically been the first born of the Charmed ones.
When Phoebe was 2 months pregnant, the Seer used magic to transfer the unborn child into her own womb. However, unable to hold the power, she self-combusted and, subsequently, vanquished.
While everyone involved thought the unborn child died as well, Elizabeth Turner (Cole’s estranged demonic mother) knew of the Seers plans and made sure that Morgana would survive.
Elizabeth managed to keep Morgana in a limbo of her own until she found a magical host strong enough to bring Morgana to full term. Seen as nothing more than an incubator for her granddaughter, Elizabeth killed the demon after Morgana was born.
For the majority of her life, Morgana was raised and trained by her grandmother who was anything but loving. Elizabeth trained and educated Morgana with a strong hand and wasn’t above punishing her for her failures.
At the age of 14, Elizabeth sent Morgana to a small, elite demonic boarding school in New York, where she was reported to be Elizabeth’s daughter rather than her granddaughter.
The more time she spent outside of her grandmother’s home and at school, the more Morgana was able to discover about the parents Elizabeth refused to tell her about. In her senior year, she put all of the pieces together and confronted her grandmother.
Enraged that Morgana would disregard her demand that she stop digging, Elizabeth attacked her granddaughter. Still unable to fully control her powers, Morgana accidentally killed her grandmother.
Fearing the punishment of killing a high level demon, Morgana told everyone who needed to know that her grandmother was vanquished. The boarding school hosted Morgana until she graduated.
Morgana opted to not tell anyone at the school, or anyone else, what she discovered about the identities of her parents. The demonic world was all she knew, and she doubted anyone would take kindly to the daughter of a Charmed One mingling amongst them.
After graduation, Morgana moved to San Francisco for college. Both of her parents lived there in the past, and, for some reason, the thought of living there made her feel a little less like an orphan.
She graduated with a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of San Francisco. She currently attends their PhD program and works as a graduate assistant. The choice originated out of necessity rather than anything. First, she needed to understand humans and how their minds worked, because her limited exposure to “the normal person” was going to make her stick out more than she cared to. Second, she discovered her mother had taken psychology courses in college and the choice made her feel connected in some way.
Unsure of who she should be and completely unfamiliar with her witch half, Morgana has managed to mostly stay away from magic and anything magic-related, which she hopes would ensure that her identity be left alone.
That is, until she found herself on Mount Olympus.
