He looked altogether too pleased with himself, marching onto the bridge in his best imitation of the goose stepping officers around this place. The uniform was tight on him, entirely too tight to be practical, but he had selected this size for that precise reason. This wasn’t out of any kind of respect for the first order, it was to elicit a reaction from the general. 

He found Hux easily, white teeth flashing in a wholly unprofessional grin as he approached. He saluted, and the grin split into a beaming smile, proud of his own cleverness-- and certain of his own appearance. 

“General, I realise there’s been some discussion about my place in the First Order. I hope this might put some of the rumours to rest.” As if he wasn’t fully aware that everyone on the bridge was going to be talking about this. The rank stripes on his sleeve made little to no sense. He’d considered altering them to say boyfriend, but he had neither the time nor the skill. Besides, he rather got the impression that everyone already knew. If they didn’t-- he winked at Cason, promising that this was only the start.
