AU-gust 2026 day 8 vampires

A Star Wars the Old Republic vampire AU for @thepromptfoundry event AU-gust 2026 day 7 vampires.

The vampire lord Git Uhay is having a hard time blushing and flossing his fangs as vampires can’t see their reflections in mirrors so he is forced to have his servant Vette help him with this task.

The Smuggler

Next up in my line-up is my smuggler character, Kendarr Zen.

He is Anarya's twin brother. Most people wouldn't assume this, because Anarya seems a little more mature but he is actually the older twin! He and Anarya grew up together in the Jedi's care until they were twelve. At that point it became obvious that Kendarr was not able to use the force at all and thus couldn't become a Jedi. At first he was a little upset, because he liked the idea of becoming a Jedi knight or scout (throughout his life, he has always kept an appreciation and fondness for the Jedi order, its people and its teachings) and because he didn't want to leave his sister. He came to accept it however and at his father's behest enrolled in a military college. He stayed there until he was sixteen when his actual military training began and Kendarr quickly realised that he was NOT made to be a soldier. He is way too free spirited and creative. So, he "borrowed" a shuttlecraft and began his journey through the galaxy. After some years of doing odd jobs around different spaceports he purchased his freighter and got into the "import/export" business. He is not a gangster or anything, he is not very violent and only has some minor offences to his name and he mostly tries to stay out of trouble, so his parents won't be too worried about him. This doesn't always work, though.

Kendarr adores his sister and he feels quite protective of her and worries about her sometimes, when she is sent on dangerous missions. They have a very close bond and although Kendarr cannot use the force, the two of them are connected to each other in the force and they can both reach out and feel each others energy. It helps them feel less lonely even if they are very far apart. Kendarr loves both of his parents very much, but he sometimes feels a little guilty for not following their example and worries that they are disappointed in him, especially his father.

Kendarr is a very friendly and easy-going person. He loves puzzles and technology, something he inherited from his mother. He can also be a little impulsive and is a bit of a daredevil. The risk he took was calculated, but boy, is he bad at math :D He is super proud of his ship because it's the first big thing that he bought with his own money.

Any lore bits you can drop about Milo or Rylan?

Hi! Thank you so much for sending in an ask @selenescantinaofficial!

They've both been on my mind a lot lately, I've finally managed to sit down and get a working idea for Mylo's personality and character development which I'll share here, as well as some facts about Rylan's day-to-day life!

Mylo:

Mylo I feel like was a pretty amiable, independent-minded and dedicated Padawan before the fall! He was among the top of his class but worried how his superior skills with a lightsaber reflected on his peers. Sometimes he felt he was too far ahead of them for his age and skill level!

This escalated to the point to where he accidentally injured a friend during a match and he felt especially guilty for it. Master Juventi, also a fellow Mirialan was reccomended by Mylo's instructors to take him on as a Padawan, very concerned about the possibilities of one of their best students becoming insecure of their powers.

He is somewhat of an extroverted introvert, he likes being around others but is somewhat guarded about who he opens his heart too. I feel another of Mylo's flaws lies in his passion for the Jedi and their way of life, as well as having attachments to his friends.

It was a tough lesson for him when the Clone Wars began to see great loss and he had to learn the horrors of war at a young age to make it, even as a Padawan. The guidance and mentorship of Master Juventi of course played an important part in that.

After the fall of the Jedi, Mylo takes the trauma pretty hard! He is still young and not even a full Jedi Knight, still just a padawan learner. His master is still there but they felt the betrayal of their clones and the loss of their friends, colleagues and comrades in the Jedi.

The weight of it didn't dawn upon him until they made it to a safe place, not to mention he got shot during a confrontation with scavengers when they were trying to find food after being stranded on the remote world of Sarrish after their clones turned on him during a mission.

Rylan:

For Rylan, I feel he is somewhat of a social drinker! He never fell into the trap of drowning his sorrows getting mud-faced as he had to carry on learning the ins and outs of being a smuggler as a part of Hylo's crew. His upbringing on an irrigation farm where he had to do a lot of phsyical chores outside and former career as a Republic pilot were also factors.

But when his life is back together, with new friends and a lucrative contract as a Republic privateer, courtesy of his Jedi friend Master Sumalee, he's hitting the cantina to get away a bit from the chaos thats around him as he runs missions during the war. Of course, his girlfriend Akaavi Spar and Master Sumalee are there to make sure he doesn't go over the top.

He's pretty mobile given the nature of his work, so his ship is pretty much his home! All the amenities like a queen bed, infirmary, kitchen, storage, workshop, crew bunks and a living area with an entertainment system! Rylan does have safehouses elsewhere like on Nar Shaddaa, but his ship is his de facto base of operations!
