The Introduction
I have a bad habit of overthinking things into the point of immobilization. For example with this blog, I spent sooo much time thinking about writing the ‘perfect’ introduction that it I kind of let it marinate dormantly in its unseasoned tumblr juices. So I finally decided to just write something.
My name is Brandon and I’m from Compton,CA. I’m currently finishing up my bachelors at Humboldt State. I majored in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy. There is a chance I might end up in a career field unrelated to my major, but it’s okay. Lately, I have been interested in technology and programming/coding. I’m sure there is way to combine the two.
Since 2009, I have always been a tumblr / blog lurker. I admired how everyone created lil’ internet spaces to express themselves. A place for their thoughts, talents, hopes, dreams, and meme storage. I was always hesitant about creating a blog because I placed some extra’d out self-imposed rules on myself. I let myself get so overwhelmed with what I ‘thought’ I needed to do to have a blog and how my blog should look that I never I started one. But here I am now.
With this blog, I want try to focus on hamstrings and computer programming (and some data science). When I had my traumatic experience of pulling both my right and left hamstrings, (at different times throughout the preseason of track), I became intrigued by this particular group of muscles. With programming and data science, I was fascinated with the endless applications one could do with them. I am currently teaching myself python with the help of the internet. So from my experience with injured hamstrings and my interest in programming, I kinda created my focal points.
