âUm⊠i-itâs nice t-to meet youâŠâŠ.â He kept his eyes down, his fae hidden under his bangs.
Maka smiled lightly. "You remind me of someone," she replied.
Tangled/Soul Eater; in which Soul's smolder is broken
Maka frowned. âYouâre not much of a story teller, are you?â she asked, having hoped for a much more vivid and entertaining story from him. Surely this princess was important if an entire kingdom yearned for her retrieval. Maka wasnât exactly sure the exact year of the princesses birth, but sheâd been watching the lights for as long as she could remember. Did they really still think they could find her?
âI hope they find her,â she responded with a smile. Even if it meant that the lights would stop, at least the king and queen and the rest of the kingdom would have their princess again.
âYou guessed it, Blondie.â He chuckled lightly, quirking an eyebrow towards the golden-haired girl. The fact that he didnât know many of the facts, since he hadnât bothered in staying in the kingdom for that long, plus the fact that he couldnât get into the place without being swarmed by guards, meant that he probably would never know the entire story.Â
Soul could honestly care less whether or not they found the girl, but he nodded softly anyway. âYeah, guess so..â He murmured to himself, kicking a small rock as they strode through the forest.
Maka could tell that he was a man of a few words and she was a girl of a thousand words. How exactly they would be able to work together was beyond her, but she sighed and followed him anyway, careful to keep her hair from tangling in anything. This was nice, but she wasn't looking forward to brushing out her hair later and finding all the leaves and twigs.
"So...you don't talk much, I take it."
@ifeelforall
âH-hi, MakaâŠ..â
"Hi." She smiled.
... of sorts... X3 so what would u two do?
She just sighed. "We would take off our clothes and have sex. Is that what you want me to say?"Â
Maka huffed as she swung her leg at the dummy before her, channeling all the rage and anger she was currently housing into the lifeless piece of fake flesh. âStupidâŠâ she mumbled, stumbling back to her feet. It felt nice to be able to beat the crap...

"HAHAHA! You'll find a way to get hurt!" he said teasingly. *surprised at her expression* "Yeah.. your totally calm... somethin botherin ya maka?" he asked, feeling concerned.
She just glared for awhile, not saying anything but wondering whether or not she should just rip his larynx out already. "Soul and I had another fight."
@ifeelforall
The girl sighed as she wandered down the street, clutching her schoolbag to her shoulder. It was after school and after an argument with Soul, she was headed out to the library to get some peace and quiet away from her partner.Â
With her attention shifted to replaying the fight over and over, she hadnât noticed the  light pole. However when the strap of her bag snagged onto a loose nail, she became very much aware of the contents of her bag slipping out through the newly torn hole, tumbling onto the floor in a mess of books and paper.Â
Joshua was asleep on the sidewalk, not even a yard away from the pole, his back up against some building. He woke up at that sudden sound, grabbing his long, white cane as he stood up. ââUm.. a-are you alright? I-it sounded like something f-fellâŠâÂ
âAh, Iâm alright.â She stiffened, having not noticed him. Damn, she hadnât even been paying attention to her soul perception. She snapped back to reality when a piece of paper fluttered before her face, before the wind carried it away. âThough I think I just lost my homework,â she groaned.
âO-oh, umâŠ.. I-Iâm sorry, I⊠I-I shouldnât b-be distracting you⊠p-probably j-just let you g-get your stuffâŠ. s-sorryâŠâ He took a shrinking step back.
âOh, uh, itâs okay. Itâs not problem. I can just get another copy from the professor, itâs not due until next week anyway,â she nonchalantly replied, reaching for the rest of her things and shoving them into her bag, cringing lightly. She hated disorganization with her school things, but she would fix that later.
âO-oh⊠um⊠a-alrightâŠâŠ.. I-Iâm JoshuaâŠâ
"Nice to meet you. I'm Maka."Â
Iâm just not emotionally well right now.
âAh, how so?â
Just â ugh. I dunno how to explain. Some random and stupid mood just overwhelms me and makes me feel all bah.
"Oh, well, we've all been there a couple of times."
killmaster-andre replied to your post: Welp, Iâm here. Not like thatâs really of any importance.
Hey.
âHow are you?â
Okay I guess.
âThatâs good.â
Not really.
She just raised an eyebrow.

"Ah, how so?"
-tsk tsk tsk- no windows X3
"What the heck. What is this, like a prison or something?"

Maka huffed as she swung her leg at the dummy before her, channeling all the rage and anger she was currently housing into the lifeless piece of fake flesh. âStupidâŠâ she mumbled, stumbling back to her feet. It felt nice to be able to beat the crap out of something without worrying about whether or not it was okay. When the door opened behind her, she straightened up, glancing back. âWhat do you want?â
He heard the sound of someone training and acted on instinct. Opening the door to see who it was, he was shocked to see his friend enraged. âWhoa, calm down Maka! Your gonna hurt yourselfâ he said with a laugh, and a kind smile.
The girl felt a small, angry pout grace her face. "I highly doubt this dummy is going to hurt me," she replied, punching it again for emphasis. "And I am calm!" A growl escaped her.
Tangled/Soul Eater; in which Soul's smolder is broken
Maka gave a light shrug, a small smile on her face. âWell, everything seems great right now. You know, Iâve never left my tower before. Not ever. Not even just out around it. My mama says that there are horrible people outside that will try and take my hair if I leave,â she explained, a light hint of guilt rising within her when she thought of her mother.
She looked over at him, green eyes watching him for a moment. ââŠYou said they were for the âlost princessâ, right?â she asked slowly. âWhat exactly is that about? It seems like a big deal, but Iâve never read anything on it.â
Soulâs crimson gaze fell upon the girlâs long golden hair with a raised eyebrow before staring back towards her. âWoulda never guessed.â Sarcasm dripped from his tone. âWell, canât say sheâs wrong.â The thief shrugged lightly - he had no idea what was so special about her hair, but he wouldnât question. He didnât care, honestly. All he wanted to do was get this girl into the kingdom, show her the lights, and bring her back home to retrieve his satchel.
âLost princess? Sure. They had âem up for her birthday, I believe, but she was taken by someone. So they light âem up each year in hopes theyâll find her again.â He shrugged lightly, not sure if that was the complete story, but thatâs all he knew.
Maka frowned. "You're not much of a story teller, are you?" she asked, having hoped for a much more vivid and entertaining story from him.
