Daycation Cycles

Hi!  My name is Nik Perry and I have been a bike mechanic since I saw the first picture of somone using a wrench to fix their bike on my first tool box.  Since then I have been a mechanic at over a dozen shops and bicycle nonprofits.  I love bikes! Here are some pictures of my own and other people's projects.

Ever wonder what happens to STANZ tire sealent when it dries up in a tire.  Well...  I came into to work and david gave this little sea coral to me which is actually just that, Hardened stanz

Titanium Salsa Mukluk fat bike.  I love fat bikes.  I love that someone had the idea to start mass producing these things and that so many people are into them. I hope its a trend that lives on and is not just a flash in the pan.  For the first time, since I joined the bike industry, I have been seeing people have fun on bikes.  There eyes get wide,  There minds get curious, and when they come back from that test ride they have a smile from ear to ear.  I can only imagine that this is whats is was like to be working for shops when MTN fist hit the scene.

oh YEEEEEEEAAAAH.  Its the KING TUFF!!!!!    does anyone know anything about this bike.  I kinda fell in love with it

rebuilding a fat wheel for a fat bike in the shop.  When we pulled the spokes and hub out the spokes stayed in pattern

This old cruiser came in.  We put a lower gear on the back and a new chain, otherwise it was like brand new when it came in
