Dave tapped his arms, his jaw working as he looked over everything. His eyes burned, but he didn't or at least tried to not show his anger at the treatment his son got.
They could overhear of what the healers were saying;
"How is the patient fairing?" Asked a elderly looking Kitsun with silver white and streaks of stark black fur as he brushed his Qi over the unconscious Joseph.
They had had to remove a lot of metal with strange protective formations and elements that their alchemists and formation experts were trying to research.
Most of what they had found so far was an enigma to both groups. The older Kitsun didn't care much for such things.
His focus had been on this young master.
He had gone over his body with Qi, tried to feel of there was damage to his Qi pathways or to his dantian. And he had been surprised to feel none of either. There was instead a more quiet power that hid beneath the surface that didn't deign to come forth.
That was fine, as the healers had focused on the old injuries and scars.
A removed eye, a missing arm with traces still of a curse that should've been easy to disbell to their hands, or perhaps it had just grown weak, and many scars from conflicts.
This young master had fought much in many battles, as was the norm.
But why had he not sought treatment? Why had he not tried at least to seek the comfort of healers, abd instead gone for the monstrosity that was metal and strange formations?
The healers didn't know, abd this healers cared little.
Instead, he looked over the healing that had been done. He looked to them, pristine. Proper even.
No scars, no blemishes, and old wounds cleaned, cleared and fur grown.
Now he just needed to rest.
He looked over an information crystal and frowned.
"What of this ones servant? The Elder of earth said that one of this one's servants had an imperfection? Why haven't we gotten to her yet?" Asked the healer.
His assistant bowed, a much younger looking Kitsun.
"Apologies master healer, we do not know yet. The elder said he had plans for the servants, as they need to be evaluated their place."
That gave a humph. "Blasted elders and their games." He muttered.
"Fine. The young master will awaken in a day. Make sure to bring his servants to fetch him and let him recover." He told his assistant, who bowed before leaving.
