❝i guess you're stuck with me 'til the elevator starts working.❞ (From the ⊱simple introduction starters⊰) ~repair--truck
“Oh goodness..” Pearl sighs, staring at the floor. She’s not the best in awkward situations, especially since she doesn’t know Wrench all too well.
She attempts to avoid too much eye contact all while smiling to ground herself. The buttons in the elevator all seem to be frozen. “Do you know how to fix this..? You seem to know how this works..!” She finally says.
“It’s wonderful out here...” Pearl smiled a bit, ignoring her shivering. It truly felt great if she looked past the cold and viewed it as amazing weather to spend time with her girlfriend in. “Wrench, do you enjoy the cold?” She spoke quietly, turning to the taller vampire. She was now having to look up at her girlfriend more, being in her absolutely small and dainty original form.
The creature tilted her head and looked down to her girlfriend. She shrugged slightly at her question. "Sometimes, yeah.." Wrench smiled softly at Pearl.
She took out a crushed pack of cigarettes from the pocket of her sweat pants. She had snachted it quickly from the kitchen table before going outside. "Do you mind if I-?" She nodded towards said package, a questioning expression on her face. She'd only smoke one if her girlfriend was okay with it.
“I’m okay with it..! I suppose it can’t do the worst, for you’re immortal...?” Pearl cutely tilted her head. In her form she seemed way more innocent than she actually was. Personally, the coach wouldn’t usually find herself ever smoking or being around those who do so, but Wrench is always an exception for anything. She has nothing against it, by any means, it has just never crossed her mind.
"It doesn't harm me, don't worry.." Wrench smiled softly before getting a cigarette and a lighter out of the crushed pack. She lit said cigarette and took a deep drag from it, and sighed relaxed. The vampire chuckled relaxed as she blew the smoke back out of her mouth. She wrapped her free hand around her girlfriend, still smiling softly.
Pearl leaned carelessly into Wrench’s arms with a joyous grin. Useually she’e cover her face from the smoke, but hearing her girlfriend is unaffected, she assumed it was the same for her. The coach looked up to the sky with glimmering eyes, feeling overall good.
"Yeah.. The smoke won't affect you too, dont worry, hun.." She grinned a tad, taking another drag from her cigarette. The vampire looked to Pearl and then up to the sky. A thought struck her mind and she sighed softly. "My dad's up there.." Wrench mumbled softly, yet the grin was still on her face.
“Oh...” Pearl wasn’t too sure what to say. Guilt overcame her at that moment. She hadn’t experienced loss like that yet, but still began to feel an aching in her chest. “I’m sorry Wrench...” The coach looked somberly towards her girlfriend, before looking up in the same direction.

She attempts to avoid too much eye contact all while smiling to ground herself. The buttons in the elevator all seem to be frozen. “Do you know how to fix this..? You seem to know how this works..!” She finally says.
Pearl allowed the repair truck to do the majority of the work, releasing her body to Wrench’s. She let every small and large movement happen, and enjoyed it while it lasted. The coach’s happiness levels were increasing by the minute.
Wrench kept lightly scratching and stroking over the smaller vampires back. She gently nibbled at the observation cars bottom lip, careful to not accidentally bite her. A big yet soft grin was on her face.
Pearl giggled underneath her breath; She deeply enjoyed the touches she was recieving as she held onto Wrench’s back for support. The small bites and scratches felt beyond amazing, and she never wanted it to end.
Wrenchs grin slowly changed to a soft smile as she slowly released her girlfriends lips. She started for a long time into the beautiful eyes of Pearl, slowly loosing herself in them.
A dreamy and slightly trippy smile was on her face, her eyes only focused on the vampire opposite her.
Pearl transcended back into the wonderous state of euphoria she was in the previous night. There was so much beauty in the coach’s eyes, everything was absolutely magnificent. She stared deeply into Wrench’s eyes with a loving daze.
Wrench kept smiling dreamy. A soft sigh emerged from her lips as she kept staring into Pearls eyes. "You're so so gorgeous, love..." Her smile changed back to a grin, revealing her beautifully long and sharp canines, but her gaze still looked misty and slightly absent, but in a good way.
Pearl had just nodded, unable to speak from being stuck in the moment. She was noticably joyous, though. Her thoughts made up for it, for her mind was continuously pondering the beauty of her girlfriend. She’s so lovely... I can’t believe she’s mine... How did that happen? How did I get so undeniably lucky with her...? Goodness... To think I was going day by day without her up until the elevator is shocking..
The pink vampire’s inner voice was softer and more wispy sounding than her real vocals. It was majestic, almost. Her connection with Wrench was so easily noticed by the way her emotions were floating.
Wrench just kept smiling softly and dreamy at the smaller vampire, still lost in her eyes. She had read Pearls mind, like always in the past two days. Even though she looked calm and happy on the outside, on the inside she was denying everything she just had heard in her girlfriends mind. I ain't lovely, and you're not lucky with me, I'm just a broken annoying undead truck that isn't able to keep her life together..
Oblivious of Wrench’s thoughts, Pearl giggled, smiling brightly. The newly undead girl remained static in her thoughts, seeming to block out any negativity that came in her way the past couple of days. It was one of her flaws, she knew this. She always looked past the bad parts, and remembered beauty within. It wasn’t awful, but it can certainly hurt her like it had in the past.
Pearl didn’t have trauma, or constant illness, but she has been used by trashy people before in which took advantage of her kindness. The coach was just too sweet for her own good.
Wrench smiled brighter yet dreamy and misty as she heard her girlfriend giggle. "You're just too sweet, honey.. How do I deserve such a cute yet hot creature like you..?" She chuckled softly and leaned forward again until their forheads touched.
Pearl giggled once more in response to her girlfriend’s words. “Nobody has ever spoken to me in this way before...” Her smile was large and adorable, featuring her new and small fangs. The observation car’s makeup was mainly faded except for eyeliner that still rounded her eyes. It was a wonderful look for her.
Wrench snickered softly, her makeup was faded too except most of her eye makeup; dried black-blue streaks of makeup could be seen on her face which looked like tear streams. Technically they were tear streams, after all, they arose from crying. "Then I'm glad that I'm the first ever being that does that to you, same with all the other beautiful activities we've done tonight.." She smirked softly before chuckling again.
Pearl couldn’t seem to stop giggling, for she was a blissful mess. After a few moments, the coach composed herself, and laid her head down in Wrench’s lap.
“We should certainly get out often...” Reminders and memories of the restaurant were swirling through her mind, getting her excited almost. She wanted more. (That is, of course, if her lovely girlfriend was alright with it.)
"Of Course we should." Wrench nodded slightly in agreement. "The next time is already in two weeks, the ball from the conceal. Two full nights just dancing and drinking to the occasion that the conceal leader got three thousand years old." She chuckled softly. She didn't really liked the conceal leader, but if she had the opportunity to go to a ball then she wouldn't miss it.
Pearl was gazing up at her girlfriends face, a soft and continuous smile remaining on her lips.
“I’ve heard this and that of the conceal... what is it even all about..?” Pearl was genuinely curious of what is was. She probably needed to know more of this organization, considering shes technically under it. Trying to fathom a three thousand year old was almost intimidating for the coach.
"The leader of the vampires, I suppose. They never actually told anyone what they do in particular. All I know is that they made the rules, distribute the punishments and organize party's and balls for special occasions. At some point you could technically become a member of the conceal, as far as I know you'd just have to be over six-hundred years old, have complete control over your instincts and fulfill some requirements which I don't know about." She smiled softly back at the smaller vampire and her right hand stroked subconsciously over her girlfriends cheek.
“Oh..! Interesting...” Pearl was in her own head for a few moments, still slightly freaked out over the leader and how they might be. “Will they make an appearance at the ball?”
Pearl leaned her head into the palm of the taller vampires hand, closing her eyes. She was still awake, just comfortable and in the moment.
Wrench nodded. "Yeah, they will be there like every other vampire that got invited too. Dancing, drinking and walking through the crowd and halls." She had acknowledged Pearls fear about how the conceal was. "Oh, don't worry. They're pretty nice actually. Some of them pretend like they're better than us, but only a few of them do that. They don't talk about any punishments or kills they've done in the past. For them is talking about these things is the same for living beings to talk about intercourse. It's actually the exact opposite, they- we like to talk about intercourse, because vampire-sex is the best." Wrench chuckled softly. "But it's a rather taboo subject to talk about your kills."
“Ahh.. I see...” Pearl shifted her position slightly, getting even more comfortable. “Vampire sex is the best..” The coach agreed with Wrench, a muffled giggle escaping her mouth. She began to think of killing. It wasn’t something she’d ever wanted to do, but wondered what would happen to lead up to it.
"Practically anything can bring us to kill a human. Lost of control, or just simply bloodlust. But most vampires usually don't kill their prey, that would attract too much attention. And please don't think about it, at least not here and now." Wrench smiled softly at her girlfriend, her hand was still gently stroking over her cheek.
Pearl simply nodded in response, a soft grin appearing wider on her face. The small and pointed tips of her new canines peeked their way out from her upper lip. Her ability to appear soft and rosy even without red blood is over the top.
Wrench chuckled softly. "Wanna know something funny yet disturbing about you what I found out two days ago?" Her voice was soft as ever, but a hint of amusement was in it.
“H-Huh..?” The coach tensed up a bit, her eyes growing wide. She already seemed shocked, but was overall nervous about what Wrench was to say. It could have been anything.
Wrench snickered softly. "Don't worry, honey. It's not as bad as you assume it might be.." She kept stroking over the observation cars cheek as a grin crept onto her face. "Your blood tasted really good, even better then that caboose I've drank last month. It's a real shame that I can't taste it again.."
“Wait you drained CB..?” Pearl sat up, her eyes even wider. She was oddly flattered that she tasted good, however. “Does that mean he’s also-..?”
Wrench grinned amused and nodded slightly. "I didn't tell you that he is one too as you asked if I were the only vampire around here. I didn't want that he would get punished this early, he's only about a month old now.." She chuckled softly, and her grin went a tad wider. "Sorry for lying about that to you.."
“Is there anyone else, then..?” Pearl understood the precautions her girlfriend took, and was alright with it. She was now invested in whether or not more of her friends were vampires than she initial assumed.
Wrench shook her head. "Nope, and I hope that it'll stay like this. That caboose was rather an 'accident', he stole my wallet and my necklace was in it, so I wanted some revenge and took his life." She shrugged and grinned now rather sadistic.
Pearl started laughing. She knew CB was an absolute twat, and somewhat found pleasure in hearing revenge was served. It came out of nowhere, but she couldn’t stop laughing. The coach sounded completely innocent as she continued.
“He so deserved that-!”
As soon as the observation car started laughing Wrench started too. She didn't actually laughed often, usually it was just a small chuckle, but this time it was an actual beautiful laughter. "Of Course he did, he's a little moron with nothing in his brain other than crashing trains." She shook her head amused.
“That’s so wonderful..!” Pearl wiped the several tears out of her eyes. The situation was too rich, and she had never had the courage to act up like that around any one.
Wrench chuckled softly and nodded agreeing. "I still want to get some fresh air, love.." She said softly and sweet yet flirtatious. She stood up from her berth before putting her bloodstained hoddie back on, she didn't cared at all that remains of her little action was still on it.
“Alright... May I uh.. Take this off?” Pearl sat up, pointing to her insanely smeared makeup. She was alright with looking disheveled with her girlfriend, but couldn’t dare appear in public anything but put together.
"Sure! We're just going onto the terrace, don't worry. D'you think I'd ever go out in public looking like absolute shit?" She chuckled softly and grinned slightly.
Pearl giggled, strutting her way to the vanity to get some makeup wipes or whatever Wrench had. “I’m gonna sift around again if that’s alright..!” She looked back towards her girlfriend.
Wrench chuckled and nodded. The grin was steady on her face, her girlfriends cuteness was just too adorable and amusing.
Pearl pulled out a face wipe after searching through the copius amount of makeup items. Wrench had so much compared to what the coach had back at her home.
She carefully wiped underneath her eyes, and around the rest of her face, making her skin bare.
"I have a lotta makeup, I know.." She giggled softly and sat back down onto her berth, watching her precious girlfriend wipe her smudged makeup away.
“And I’m too tired to put any more on...” Pearl bit her lip, hesitantly viewing every makeup palette. “Do I look okay?” The coach pointed to her bare face with a half slanted frown.
Wrench nodded eagerly. "Of Course you look okay! You look more than okay, you look as beautiful as with makeup!" She exclaimes softly, a warm and loving smile on the face of the undead woman.
“Awe thank you sweetheart..!” Pearl giggled, making her way over to her girlfriend to give her a big kiss on the lips. It was a quick peck, but the coach meant all of it.
Wrench giggled softly and smiled brightly at the small but meaningful gesture. "Your welcome, darling.." She smiled softly at Pearl and gently cupped her cheeks before placing a soft kiss onto her lips.
Pearls now bare lips were softly pressed to her girlfriends, as she wrapped one arm around her waist.
I love you so much...
The coach assumed that communicating through her thoughts would be better, especially since she didn’t need to come out of the kiss to say anything.
Wrench smiled softly into the kiss and her right thumb unintentionally started to stroke over Pearls cheek again. She had heard her girlfriends thoughts and returned it with pressing her lips a little bit harder and loving against the ones from Pearl.
Pearl giggled very quietly beneath her breath. She wished that she could hear Wrench’s thoughts, and then they’d truly be alone together. Her world only revolved around the other vampires’.
The coach fully had her arms around Wrech at that point, holding her firmly close to her own body.
Wrench chuckled softly and slowly pulled back from Pearls lips. She wrapped her arms around the smaller vampire and gently layed her chin on top Pearls. The repair truck held the other woman close to her body and kept smiling softly. "I love you so incredibly much..." She mumbled and chuckled underneath her breath.
Pearl rested her head in the crevace of Wrench’s neck. She was lucky her girlfriend was tall enough to allow for her to do that. The coach grew insanely comfortable in that position; their bodies fit so well together.
“I love you too, sweetheart..”
Wrenchs smile went a little bit brighter and her arms around the smaller vampire tightened a bit.
"I'd love to stay like this forever, but I'd like to get some fresh air.." She whispered softly near Pearls ear.
“Oh, please yes..” Pearl held their position a few moments longer before hesitantly pulling back with a quiet sigh. The coach folded her arms over her chest. She was still getting used to her extremely low body temperature.
"You cold, honey?" Wrench frowned slightly, concerned over her girlfriend. "I-I can give you more of my clothes if you'd like?" She was obviously worried over the observation car.
“N-No I think I’m just getting used to my cold blood... This hoddie is fine...” Pearl held back a shiver, but was still smiling nonetheless. The was perfectly fine, just a tad freezing.
"Are you sure, sweetheart?" Wrench wanted to know the truth without digging around in her girlfriends mind. She gently cupped her cheeks with her ice cold hands and gently pulled her close. The vampire carefully placed a peck onto her nose and smiled lovingly. "Honey, I want that you feel warm and loved, and if you're cold a hoddie isn't enough to feel warm and loved.."
“Alright well... I do feel chilly, but I feel more than loved right now..” Pearl smiled beautifully up at her worried girlfriend. “Not sure how to fix it.. I feel cold throughout my entire body...” She seemed a bit confused, but wasn’t too scared. She is, after all, undead.
"You're still getting used to your body being dead, well undead. It takes about five days to a week until you got used to it." Wrench smiled softly and wrapped her arms around the smaller vampire, hoping to warm her up a bit.
Pearl leaned into Wrench’s rather warm embrace (to her it was). “Mm let’s go outside now..” She still wasn’t removing herself from her girlfriend’s arms, nor did she want to.
Wrench chuckled softly and nodded. "But if we wanna go outside now you have to let go of me, I don't wanna fall the stairs down again.."
“O-Oh of course...” Pearl pulled back hesitantly, eyeing upward towards Wrench’s red eyes. “May I take your hand, then?” Her smile grew soft and sweet; full of nothing but love.
Wrench nodded and chuckled softly. "Of Course, darling.." She gently grapped the smaller vampires hand before tugging her softly out of the room.
Pearl gazed through the dark hallways through her newly developing night vision. All was well, for she was able to view and keep an eye on Wrench. The coach squeezed her girlfriends hand with an adorable grin swept across her face.
Wrench chuckled softly and grinned lovingly as they went through the high halls of the electric shed. The taller vampire shortly looked onto her watch to grin even wider. "The others will wake up soon... We either be fast, or we'll tell them we're together..."
“I’m okay with them knowing as long as you are... If you feel it’s not time then we should go ahead and leave..” Pearl whispered towards Wrench, stopping her movement to allow for a decision to be made. She still wanted to go get outside, but it would also be best to get the reveal out of the way. If they were to speak with the others, Pearl would quickly need to learn how to turn herself back to her original form (which she was yet to even do).
"Of Course I'm okay with that, honey.." Wrench smiled softly and lovingly at the younger vampire and placed a peck onto her cheek. "You just need to learn how to change back into your original form.." She chuckled softly.
“N-Not sure how to yet...!” Pearl nervously whispered towards her girlfriend, pulling back her hand to rub her eyes. It was a natural response to thinking of having to change their color back to their original aqua shade.
"You'll be able to do it, we'll figure it out.. Promised.." Wrench smiled softly and reassuring at the smaller vampire and placed another gentle and reassuring kisses onto her cheek and nose. "You can do it, hun. I believe in you..!"
“Okay okay...”
Pearl held her breath a little, unaware she was putting more of her focus onto her thoughts than anything else. She visualized herself growing shorter, her eyes drastically changing their shade, and her overall appearance shifting. A sensation similar to that of a tingle or even the feeling of being drained of her blood overcame her body. At first she couldn’t necessarily comprehend if what she was going through was painful or not, but the knowledge that Wrench was right next to her was calming and serene.
Wrench shifted a tad to the side, giving her girlfriend enough space to shift in between forms. A smile grew on her face as she noticed that Pearl managed to turn back into her original form.
As soon as said vampire was done shifting she went over to her and hugged her tight. "You made it, hun..! I'm proud of you.." She tried to speak quietly, not wanting to wake the others.
Pearl quietly giggled with excitement. She was shorter now, and no longer felt the presence of fangs within her mouth.
“Thank you, Wrench-!” The coach returned the hug, squeezing as if she’d never let go.
Wrench chuckled softly and pressed the way smaller woman to her chest before placing a soft kiss onto her hair. "Wanna go downstairs now..?" She whispered and smiled lovingly at Pearl.
“Mhm..!” The coach certainly felt different now, being the way she was before she really fell in love with Wrench. Pearl took her girlfriend’s hand in hers swiftly and shifted her positing towards the staircase.
Wrench smiled softly and slowly and carefully walked down the stairs, not wanting to fall again. Easily and without any complications, they made it downstairs. She let go of her girlfriends hand and skated towards their terrace, opening the door and stepped outside. The vampire shuddered a bit, it still was freezing cold outside, but that didn't matter. She finally took a deep breath from the cold air, and slowly relaxed.

“Thank you, Wrench-!” The coach returned the hug, squeezing as if she’d never let go.
❝So I assume you're the one everyone's talking about.❞
“.. Oh!” Pearl giggled a little bit before realizing it was none other than Flat Top standing before her. “Flat Top!!” She was slightly confused as to why he was approaching her. “Others are.. speaking of me? Like in the Freight yard?” She tilted her head slightly, “I hope nobodies spreading any rumors of me if thats what this is !” Her facial expression became slightly worrisome.
“I’m sure the others do care, but I understand that it can be difficult to see that..” Pearl knows where he’s coming from, and is trying to reason with him. It upsets her that this has been going on a while without her knowing much of it, being close to Rusty, and all.
He shrugs slightly; he seems torn between believing her and ignoring her. In the end Pearl’s reasoning wins him over, and he nods. “I guess you’re right...” He finally, if somewhat reluctantly, agrees.
“Why d’you care so much though? It’s not like we’ve always been the best of friends or anything.” He doesn’t sound like he’s trying to interrogate her, just genuinely curious.
“I don’t know.. It’s just..? Hanging out with you today has really changed my views about you. You’re fun to be around, and I can get along with you...” A smile can be seen making it’s way to her lips. She’s happy that she can possibly consider Flat Top a friend now. At least, she hopes that she can.
The corners of his mouth twitch slightly, as if he’s trying to hold back a smile. “That’s... nice to hear. And it’s been pretty good seeing all the nice stuff about you Rusty blathers on about is true.”
Pearl giggles a bit, flushing ever so slightly about the fact Rusty speaks of her often. “How about we go have some fun. Let’s go to that bridge you were talking about!” The coach seems to be excited while mentioning it.
He seems to brighten up at that, grinning widely. “Okay! C’mon, let’s get the sprays!” He grabs her hands and pulls her towards the room he and Dustin share. One half of the room is much neater than the other, clearly Dustin’s side. Flat-Top’s half of the room is far less organised, and posters of British punk rock bands cover the walls.
“Sorry ‘bout the mess, don’t usually get visitors.” He lies flat on the floor, reaching under his bed and pulling out a bag filled with spray cans in a variety of colours.
“Dang you’re prepared!” Pearl has a sudden rush of excitement, realizing what shes going to do with Flat Top. “Can we camouflage ourselves so we don’t get caught?!” The coach bounces with excitement. She has always seen people in the movies dress dark when they’re about to do something illegal, thinking this’ll be remotely like that.
Flat-Top cracks a smile at her enthusiasm, trying not to laugh. “Love the energy, but it probably won’t be necessary given how it’s still daytime. But if you wanna get in the spirit for it I’ve probably got some stuff in my wardrobe you could borrow.” Flat-Top doesn’t want to crush her excitement, so this is the best suggestion he can offer for her.
Pearl giggles, shaking her head. “It’s alright, then..!” His offer is sweet, but she isn’t going to take anything from him. “I’m so excited!!” She continues to slightly bounce with entusiasm. “I have no idea how to spray paint but I already have so many pieces in mind to create!”
“Always good to have some inspiration!” He zips up the bag and gets to his wheels, slinging it over his shoulder.
He leads her back out of his room and to the front door. “Ready?”
“Mhm!” The coach quickly rolled out the door full of pep. Her excitement on what she’s about to do with the brick truck is at a constant rise.
He grins, closing the door behind them. “There’s a security camera set up at the front entrance, if we go that way we’re gonna get in trouble. I will at least... c’mon, I got a sneaky way out.”
Flat-Top leads her back behind the house, pushing a crate against the fence and scrambling on top. He offers a hand out to Pearl, “Not a big drop on the other side.”
“Thanks!” Pearl quickly takes ahold of his hand with her strongest grip. The coach pulls as hard as she can, throwing herself over to the top of the fence. She feels exhilerated; This being her first time jumping a fence. She looks to Flat Top on how to land, not wanting to get hurt, despite there being a drop that’s more on the small side.
The brick truck leans over to drop the bag, then leaps over the fence. His landing isn’t particularly graceful, but he’s unharmed. He straightens and turns to beckon her over, “Bend your knees as you land,” he instructs, his tone sounding encouraging. “It’ll absorb the impact.”
Pearl hesitates a few moments, but slips and falls anyway. “Eek-!” She bends her legs as quick as possible, but her land isn’t exactly the best. Luckily she’s not hurt, but only left with a few scuffs on her outfit.
“Woah, you okay?” He skates over to her and helps her up. “Looks like neither of us can pull off a perfect landing.” He chuckles slightly, “But seriously, you okay?”
“I-I’m alright-!” Pearl laughs it off, getting up. She blows her pink hair out of the way before brushing it behind her back. “Yeah.. I’ll be fine.” She feels embarrassed, but can’t admit it out loud. The scarlet blush beginning to cover her cheeks, however, gives it away.
He looks relieved to hear she’s alright. “Good. Don’t sweat it, first jump ain’t easy. You saw my landing, I’ve been doing this for years and I still ain’t perfected it.” He picks up the bag and slings it over his shoulder again.
“Ready? Even without an engine it shouldn’t take it us too long. We should be fine once we’re there, just so long as we don’t get seen by anyone working on that line.”
Pearl nods, composing herself. “I’m ready!” The coach says as if she’s about to embark on a dangerous quest. She’s simply excited for what they’re about to do.
He grins, unable to hide his own excitement. “C’mon then!” He grabs her hand and starts pulls her along the line, much more cheerful and excitable than usual. Clearly Pearl’s enthusiasm is rubbing off on him.
“Woohoo!” Pearl cheers, picking up far more speed than most of the time. She tightly holds onto Flat Top’s hand to keep herself stable, and from falling like she did earlier.
Flat-Top keeps up a surprisingly speedy pace -for a truck, at least- until they reach the bridge; brand new and ready to be vandalised. He slows to a stop and lets go of Pearl’s hand, shrugging the bag off his shoulder and unzipping it. “Sooo... any ideas of what you wanna do?”
“Mhm..!” The coach cracks her knuckles, bending down and sifting a bit through the bag. She appears to be deep in thought while looking, and also doesn’t seem to be sharing her idea. “You may need to teach me a little before I really get started, though...”
He smirks slightly as she avoid giving him a detailed answer. “Keeping it secret, I see!” He crouches down and selecting a few base colours. “It’s pretty simple; shake the can, get the paint all mixed up... then spray!”
“A-Alright..!” The coach grabs a huge assortment of the colors, before carrying the heap over to a perfect location. “Hmm..” Pearl mumbles to herself before testing out a bright red with a cute little heart. It ends up working pretty well.
“Just take your time with it, that’s the most important thing. Don’t rush art.” He started spraying a large block of dark blue over part of the wall, being careful not to let the paint run. Every now and then he glances up and down the track, and upwards to the top of the bridge. He doesn’t want anyone to spot them.
Pearl has been focusing immensely on whatever she’s doing. She’s grabbing several different colors at a time, and is going to work. Only a few times she makes a couple double takes at Flat Top, smiles, and continues doing her work. The coach enjoys the spectacular view they have; It’s different, but beautiful to her.
Flat-Top continues on his own piece, equally focused. He’s about halfway finished, but there’s a slight problem..
He glances over to Pearl, looking a little embarrassed. “Hey, uh.. Pearl? Can you come give me a hand please?”
Pearl places the can that she’s currently using on the ground and dusts herself off.
“Yuh-huh! What’s up?” The coach smiles, rolling over to Flat Top with her hands on her hips in a curious manner.
A slight reddish tinge covers the brick truck’s cheeks. “Well, uh... I’m almost done, but.. I cant reach high enough to finish the top. Can you help me reach?”
He feels embarrassed to ask, but he knows he can’t reach that high. With a boost from Pearl though, he’ll be able to finish his piece.
“Yeah!” The coach seems down to do whatever. “Need me to lift you up..?” She isn’t completely sure if she has the strength to lift somebody, but she is a very strong girl.
He nods slightly. “Don’t worry, I ain’t that heavy. If it’s getting too difficult you can drop me, but I should be done pretty quick.” He’s still a little embarrassed he needs to ask for help, but he’d overestimated how high he could reach when making his piece.
“Wanna get on my back or do I pick you up by the legs..?” Pearl’s trying to decide whether or not she could actually do this, but isn’t too worried.
“Uhh.. whatever’s easiest for you, I guess. And less awkward. I know this is kind of a weird request..” He laughs nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "You don't have to do this if you don't want to, I can come back and finish this another time. Bring a box or something." He doesn't want to make the observation car uncomfortable, especially not when things are going so positively.
“I’ll boost you from your legs, alright? I should be able to hold it for almost a minute..!” Pearl’s learned a few lifting techniques from Dinah who learned it from Greaseball. Her confidence grows a bit, for she really wants to help Flat Top out to the best of her ability.
The brick truck nods, grateful to the pink coach. “I’ll be as quick as I can, don’t worry. Cheers love.” He grabs the cans he needs, he’s already planned out what he wants to do so hopefully he can finish without putting much strain on Pearl. For once being quite small and scrawny came in handy, hopefully he’ll be easier for her to support.
Pearl giggles before kneeling down, and wrapping her grip around Flat Top’s lower legs. “Alright just try and keep balance..!” She knows she’s gonna do the same.
“Okay..” She exhales quietly, somehow swiftly lifting up the brick truck efficiently.
As soon as Pearl lifts him up, he pops the cap off his first spray can and gets to work. He works quickly and efficiently, managing to finish the last of his piece in only a few minutes; he was mostly done before asking for help, after all.
“Okay, all finished! Thanks for the boost-up.”
“You’re welcome-!” The coach pops her knuckles once more before strutting back to her side of the wall. She looks up and down the wall, knowing she’s almost done, and honestly satisfied with her work.
“Hello Pearl, how have you been lately?”
Pearl is completely caught off guard by being approached by the Hopper. “Hello, Dustin..!” There’s a hint of confusion in the observation car’s tone, but it’s a polite surprise to see him, nonetheless. “I’ve been...” She pauses a slight moment, “Well..!” She nods to follow up her simple answer.
“I’ve learned that even if you’re the kindest person out there, somebody will always dislike you.. even for no reason at all... You of all people certainly don’t deserve it!” Pearl tightly held onto Dustin, rubbing his back.
He doesn't answer, only nodding slightly as he lets out a muffled sob and hugs Pearl tighter. He's kept his problems bottled up for so long, not wanting to be a bother to anyone, and it feels strange to finally talk about his past. “...Please don’t tell anyone.. m-me and Flat-Top promised each other we wouldn’t tell anyone about our old yard, h-he’ll get really upset if he finds out I broke our promise...”
“H-Hey no.. I won’t tell anyone.. But you need to know this is healthy..” Pearl has no clue how long this has been held back, and feels more sorrow for Dustin. She rubs more calming and theraputic circles onto the hoppers back, whispering quietly everytime he sobs.
The hopper continues sobbing, still hugging Pearl tightly. He manages to calm down after several minutes, pulling out of the hug and taking a few deep breaths. “S-sorry for getting so worked up.. it’s difficult talking about... before I came here.” He shrugs slightly, biting his lip anxiously.
“Never, ever be sorry about this, okay?” Pearl remains calm with her tone, doing nothing else but rubbing Dustins back. “And take as much time as you need to compose yourself..!” The coach closes her eyes to take a deep breath.

Athena - Vampire’s Feast (sent from dazzlingpearl)
@dazzlingpearl
Athena's eyes turn feral as her instincts start to take the wheel. She growls deep in her chest, and wildly looks around. Her pupils have become vertical slits as she almost immediately races off to find prey.
An unknowing passenger coach is nearby, alone. Or so one would think by looking at her, until it’s revealed that she’s carrying a very special trainlet. She isn’t necessarily prey, but her scent is certainly new, and extremely noticable.
Athena is quick to pick up the scent of the observation coach, and her current state. Seemingly curious, she follows the scent, easily tracking her in the cold and snow.
Pearl doesn’t notice anything at first. She’s mainly focused on waiting for her mate. Being in this state alone is incredibly dangerous by itself, but being unaware of Athena approaching has put her into a new sort of danger.
It doesn't take long for Athena to spot the observation coach. She slinks up onto the ridge, sniffing the air, and watching the observation coach closely.
The scent of the observation coach is showing signs she's carrying, which seems to trigger her maternal instincts rather than her bloodthirsty instincts. She slinks down from the ridge, and starts to cautiously approach her, staying at a far enough distance to make sure she is out of the observation coach's reach.
Pearl doesn’t notice anything at first, rather it seems she’s fixated or worried about something. The coach looks like she’s on the verge of tears, before she quickly notices the extremely tall woman approaching her from afar. She lets out a scream before covering her mouth with her hand, her eyes wide. The sudden appearence completely catches her off guard.
She jumps and hisses as she flinches at the sudden scream. She growls deep in her chest in agitation before taking a couple strides back.
She sniffs the air curiously once again, trying to gather more information about this stranger. She takes a stride forward, cautious about approaching her.
“Y-You are...? You seem familiar, but you have a scent that I just cannot pick up on..” Pearl bites her tongue as she attempts to push off any fear she has remaining on her face. “Am I tresspassing? Oh goodness I am terribly sorry, I’m sure things can be sorted out-“ Recently the coach has been suffering from slight paranoia, growing anxious of many things. “Did I cause you to lose control...?” Her voice has grown rather quiet, fearful that she could be hurt. With her mate not around, she’s pretty defenseless. Well, she can take care of herself, but fighting with another could take a blow so hard that her trainlet would not survive.
Athena tilts her head to side slightly, as if she can understand her somewhat. After a few moments of silence, she finally speaks one word. "Athena."
She slinks closer. "Just.. lost.. control." She forces the words out, as if she's struggling to speak with her instincts taking the wheel
Pearl bites her lip, a bit worried from never seeing this train before. “Are you part of... The Frost district?” She questions, unsure of the level of danger she’s in. There’s a scent of a small human radiating from Athena, peaking the coach’s curiosity.
Athena is silent for a few moments. "Yes.."
She slinks closer and sniffs at her before recoiling and growling softly. "Human.. scent."
“Oh I...!” Pearl puts her hands up slightly. “You smell of a human as well...” She deflects, hoping to dodge any major issues. Mention of the children could perhaps put them in danger, for she doesn’t know too well of the area.
She growls deep in her chest. "Edwin.. my.. human.."
She cautiously circles the observation coach, more or less trying to gather more information about this stranger. "Need.. blood.. Need.. hunt." She manages to force out the words before slinking even closer to the observation coach.
“G-!” Pearl trimbles, rolling backwords, “Goodness uhm.. I haven’t exactly seen.. any animals around..” She mentions in hopes it’ll send the larger train a different direction. The coldness begins to get to her, causing her to wish she had her mate to hold onto for warmth.
She tilts her head to the side. "What about... humans?"
She sniffs the air a little bit, trying to see if she can catch the scent of human that is not mixed with the scent of the observation coach.
“N-No.. How about animals..! I can maybe help you, if you want..!” Pearl forces a smile on her face, trying to not reveal any more fear than she has. She never ever wants to hurt humans at this point, even if sometimes instincts get a little crazy. Ontop of being pregnant, her cravings can sometimes send her into a spiral of almost going crazy for food.
Athena narrows her eyes. "You said... no animals.. around. But... I smell humans... camp.. somewhere.."
She sniffs the air again, and listens closely, seeing if she can pinpoint the exact direction the smell is coming from.
“I-It’s probably me..! I’m around a bunch of humans..! Yeah..” Pearl quickly tries to distract the larger woman, holding her breath. The stress is beginning to affect her body; She needs to relax somewhere desperately after being so far away from her own district.
Athena shakes her head. "No.. No.. Smell different humans.."
She sniffs the air again. "Smells... fresh.."
She licks her canines before heading towards the ravine, and peering down. Sure enough, there's a small camp located in the center of the ravine. The humans there would be no more than a snack to the Articulate, but something is better than nothing.
She smiles a wolfish and twisted grin. It's the perfect place for her to ambush them.
“N-NO-!” Pearl rushes after her frantically, feeling a pain as she does so. “Don’t d-do that..” The coach is already out of breath from losing stamina after taking it easy for a while. All she can do is bare her teeth in attempt to assert any form of dominance that may exist. Those humans are certainly in danger.
Athena whips around and growls deep in her chest. "Quiet! You'll scare them off!" She hisses softly.
She curses under her breath as she hears the humans making a little bit of a ruckus. Now the humans are on alert fron Pearl's outburst.
Athena immediately slinks away from the edge of the ridge, staying out of sigh from the humans, baring her teeth at the smaller observation coach, and snarling.
Pearl is stumped on what her next move should be. Both she, and the humans are in intense danger, but she must protect her trainlet. The thought is terrifying, really. Losing her child because of one stupid decision she decides to make. She can’t imagine Rusty’s reaction along with her own to a loss that great.
“Y-You can resist this..” The coach backs up ever so slightly, a worried frown on her face. She doesn’t know this other train, but if her loved ones can hold back, so can she. There’s the smallest bit of hope that maybe, just maybe the humans will survive, along with herself. However, she has no clue what the trains are like out here. The uncertainty of what can happen is terrifying, and almost eating Pearl alive.
She tilts her head to the side. "Why resist the urge to feed?"
She narrows her eyes and growls deep in her chest before surprisingly silently, slinking down the down the side of the ridge, and getting ever closer to the camp.
“Because it’s not morally correct..!” Pearl whisper-yells towards the dangerous train, following her quickly. “There are so many things other than humans..!” She reaches out to Athena once she gets close enough.
The moment she feels the observation coach touch her ever so lightly, she whips around and snarls. "Humans don't deserve to live after what they've done to us!" She hisses softly.
"We were not treated so kindly by humans at all! Our leader was left for days after getting in an awful wreck! They don't care about us!" She growls softly, and the fire inside her rises, causing thick black smoke billow from between her teeth.
“N-Not all humans.. are like that..” Pearl about hyperventilates, her eyes ever so wide as they watch Athena slowly grow more terrifying. “I can guarentee.. We are all simply being hypocritical for acting out like this-!”
Athena snarls, and hisses. "I don't care. I'm too hungry to care at this point! Humans mean nothing to me! Unless, you know for sure where a decent meal is, I'm not going to change my mind.."
She freezes, and listens closely before smiling a wolfish grin. "On second thought.. something might actually already be targeting the camp, besides me, of course.."
She chuckles softly before climbing back up the ridge. "Wolves... close by.."
“O-Oh perfect..! You can have those!” Pearl is extremely relieved as she too picks up the lingering scent. “And maybe save the humans from them...” She mumbles softly rather to herself, than to the feral engine. The coach realizes that she’s also hungry, and if there’s to be any food left she’ll glady take some. But first, making sure those humans, and herself are safe is important.
She is silent for a few moments before nodding. "No good in letting competition taking your food source.."
Sure enough, she hears wolves howling in the distance. She immediately hunkers down into the snow as she hears the humans scrambling out of thier tents, and frantically look around. She licks her fangs, and watches the valley intently, waiting for the wolves to make thier move.
“Wh-What if we just kill the wolves..?” Pearl looks back and forth between the scene below them and to Athena. Her eyes are wide, everything is happening so quick. She has no idea if she’ll follow through with killing the wolves; The coach hasn’t hunted once since finding out about her pregnancy. Rusty’s always had her stay relaxed instead of anything of that sort.
She glares at Pearl. "I've killed whole packs of wolves single handedly. They're a better meal than humans."
She gets ready to move in as she sees the wolves head down either side of the valley. She silently slinks down the the side of the ridge. There's plenty for both her, and the observation coach to eat.
“Oh s-so you’re gonna do it by yourself-? okay..” Pearl moves back from the large and feral engine, feeling as if she’s in time out and unable to join in. Of course she’s against hurting humans, but when it comes to other animals... A girl’s gotta eat.
She looks back at the observation coach. "Unless you want to join the hunt.."
She smiles a wolfish grin before stopping just above the camp. The humans are frantic, trying to scare off the wolves, but the beasts only circle the camp, and try to move in close.
Pearl sits a moment. It’s really now or never. She glances down to her lower belly where the smallest bump has formed, and puts her hand over it. With an inhale, the coach shook it off, and hesitated no longer to rush by Athena’s side. The cold wind blowing her hair back as she speedily moves excites her a bit. She hasn’t had much action recently, so this may be a bit fun.
She smirks and looks down at the humans. The humans are struggling, on the brink of panicking. She smiles as the wolves suddenly stop, and whimper as they catch her scent.
They know she's here, but the can't see her. Thier focus shifts from the camp to thier surroundings.
Pearl can’t help but giggle a little underneath her breath. Hunting is something she rarely does nowadays, and here she is, doing it with a terrifying stranger who could certainly kill her, and her child immediately.
The coach peaks at the helpless creatures no longer paying attention to the humans. She assumes it’s a perfect and seamless plan to shift Athena’s attention to the pack of wolves.
Athena waits for the right moment before dropping down in the center of the camp, and snarling, putting her wickedly sharp and long canines on display. The humans scream, and try to run, but the thought of the wolves lingering just outside the camp forces them to stay.
She smiles a wolfish grin as the wolves recoil. It seems they're not exactly the smartest pack on the mountain.
Pearl tries to remain as safe as possible as she makes her way down the mountain. Once she gets to a better position she rushes infront of a small group of humans to keep them out of sight from closer wolves. “Stay back...” The coach says to the humans in a strangely soothing voice compared to how others would speak out in the district. The scent of the inferior people truly did sounded not too bad in the heat of the moment and under Athena’s influence, but wolves seem extremely appetizing. Much so that the coach was becoming a bit snappy.
She glances back at the observation coach before smiling a wolfish grin. One of the wolves just barely slinks forward, cautious about the Articulate.
Athena waits for the perfect moment before immediately snatching the beast, and throwing it against the rock face with ease. She heard a sickening crack, and after a quick yelp, the wolf goes quiet, and still.
The other beasts flee, but Athena is quick to give chase, easily keeping up with the beasts.
Pearl is able to rush and leap onto a cowering wolf, giving it a deadly bite to the neck. Her powerful jaw and arm force gives enough damage to snap its’s neck. She excitedly jumps from wolf to wolf in her range, letting Athena do her thing with the others. This is honestly a lot of fun for the coach.
The wolves she kills only let out a yelp before going limp, and silent. The humans cower at the sight, but don't flee. They know there's more than Articulate in the mountains. It would be best to just stay alert.
Athena on the other hand, is relishing the chase, killing every wolf in her range until she has plenty of them eat. She comes to an abrupt stop, letting the rest retreat back to thier den.
She smiles before picking up one of the corpses, and starting to devour it. The sweet taste and scent of blood sends her into a feeding frenzy.
Pearl finally takes a moment to sigh, calmly making her way to her dead prey. She acts as if none of that happened, feeling perfectly okay. The coach begins to chew slowly, for she isn’t the hungriest shes gotten in a while. Humans watching her really don’t affect her in any way, she just continues to eat, a little tired out from what she had just done.
The humans are completely frozen in place, afriad of what would happen if one of them would ever move. One of the humans gag a little bit at the sight.
As Athena feeds, her pupils start to return to normal, until her bloodlust has completely been sated. She licks the blood from her fingers, and lips before looking up at the ridge of the valley, as if she's thinking.
She takes a deep breath, and lets out a howl of a roar. It shakes the ground and echoes throughout the mountain side. The humans immediately flinch and cover thier ears.
Pearl is more unphased by the loud howl, and stands up to dust herself off. To the coach’s disliking, her clothes are now messy and spotted with blood. “Goodness...” Her eyes were growing to be an almost glowing yellow before her hunger was satisfied as well. She looks to the humans, flashing a sincere and kind, yet terrifyingly bloody smile at them.
The humans immediately step back, terrified of both the coach and the Articulate.
It isn't long before twelve more Articulates look down from the ridge. Though one stands out a bit from the rest, thanks to the scars on his face.
He leaps down from the ridge, and into the center of the camp. The others are quick to follow suit, surrounding the camp.
The humans immediately gather together, looking around at the huge engines wildly.
“Y-You called more-?!” Pearl is both shocked and angry she didn’t see it coming. She glares towards Athena before getting lost in thoughts again. Is she really about to attempt to save as many humans as possible? Probably. Can she die from this? Most likely.
The coach gets infront of the large group of humans in a defensive manner, desperately trying not to hyperventilate.
Athena smiles, and chuckles softly. "Obviously. All the others need to eat too. We need to gather food to feed everyone else.."
Goliath growls softly. "We don't need to get violent about this.. We need to eat too you know?" He narrows his golden eyes at the observation coach.
“Believe me I don’t want to get violent...” Pearl looks him head on, and she is terrified. She doesn’t show it on the outside, rather she has a sort of poker face. On the inside, however, she’s the most scared she’s been in a while.
“Please we can find more wolves- O- Or maybe elk or..!”
Goliath narrows his eyes and growls deep in his chest. "I'm afraid we can't let them live. They've seen too much."
He looks at the Articulates behind the humans, and nods. Immediately, two of them grab a couple humans in thier fists, smiking wolfish grins as they hear the humans scream.
Pearl lets out a bloody scream. “NO-!” She rushes as quick as possible towards them, not knowing at all what they’re capable of.
The coach is begging at this point. “A-At least just make them leave..! Please-“
Goliath growls deep in his chest. "Why bother? They're parasites! They deserve this!" He snarls, showing off his long and sharp canines.
Athena frowns. "The wolf pack likely isn't enough to feed us. It was awfully small. That's why I let so many go.."
Pearls eyes at this point are tearing up. It’s a combination of fear for herself, and others. (and pregnancy hormones...)
“L-Let them be! Just go eat deer or something!”
Goliath narrows his golden eyes and growls softly. "Look around you. I have twelve hungry mouths to feed. We can't be picky with what we catch. The wolves are likely scared off, as well as the deer when they heard Athena calling for us. These humans are the only source food in the area right now."
Arthur one of the Challengers, snarls softly. "Not to mention the fact they're pathetic little parasites.. Although, they do taste great in a stew.." he chuckles softly.
The human he has in his powerful grasp screams and desperately tries to escape his vice grip, only for Arthur to tighten his grip on the human, squeezing the breath out of it, and forcing them to stop.
“P-Please I do not want to fight..” Pearl puts one of her hands over her lower tank where there’s a slight bump. Her fear has noticably increased over the past few minutes. “These humans are not parasites... I guarentee.. They’re living their life just as you and I!” She bites her lower lip, looking at the struggling humans. Her heart begins to ache as she thinks of every turn out that could happen.
Goliath notices her fear before waving a hand at the other Articulates. They look at him in surprise before they gently put the humans down, except for Arthur.
Goliath sniffs the air, and narrows his golden eyes. "Why are you out here in the cold when you're expecting? Admit it, the humans smell tempting don't they?"
He raises an eyebrow at her before taking the human from Arthur's grasp. Arthur looks at him in surprise as the human screams, even more terrified that they are in the grasp of the leader of the Articulates.
“N-No... I don’t eat humans.. Only other meats..” Pearl stutters out, narrowing her vision to the humans now in Goliath’s grasp. “I.. It was urgent... I’m missing my mate, a-and...” She’s lost, and terrified at this point. The poor thing is shaking as well, not used to the shocking cold.
Goliath sighs. "You're not from around here aren't you?"
He looks down at the human before dropping the human into the snow. The human scrambles back and looks up at him, terrified.
"Get out of here before I change my mind!" Goliath snaps. Immediately, the humans run off, leaving their camp, and thier supplies, behind.
“I.. I’m not.. Far from it..” Pearl bites her lower lip, looking away in slight shame. “The south, actually... United States...” The coach’s voice is extremely timid and soft. She fiddles with her fingers a little, and rolling back and forth to refrain from getting too cold.
Goliath is silent for a few moments. He looks her over, and notices the mark on her neck. "Did you come here alone, or did you come here with your mate? And who are you exactly?"
He raises an eyebrow at her.
Pearl dusts off her skirt, straightening her posture. “I am the queen of the Star District.. my mate, Rusty, ruler of the Star District and I came out here under circumstances I’m not fully knowledgable of...” The coach looks up at the several Articulates, then Goliath. “I insisted to aid him in his travels..”
Goliath looks down at her in shock. "Then he's probably with Canuk, the ruler of the Frost District, on official business."
He looks over at Arthur. "Go to the Capitol of the Frost District and tell Canuk the queen of the Star District is with us."
Arthur nods, and climbs up the ridge with ease before racing off towards the capitol.
“O-Oh goodness, thank you...” Pearl shows a soft and thankful, but slightly scared smile on her face. She feels better about the whole situation now that everything has calmed down, and the humans got away.
They’re safe, for now... The coach thinks to herself as her thoughts go to other places such as finding Rusty finally.
Goliath nods. "He's likely at the Capitol with Canuk. With Arthur telling her you're with us, she would likely send a patrol to our home to retrieve you. It would be best if we took you with us, and get you out of the cold. It's obvious you're not in the state for such a thing." He gestures to her abdomen.
Monstro nods. "You can stay with us until the patrol comes to our cave to pick you up."
“Thank you...” The coach nods towards Goliath, and to Monstro. The cold air is truly beginning to affect her physical state; Her arms have been crossed over her body since the beginning of their conversation.
Pearl just hopes that wherever their home may be, that it isn’t too far away.
Goliath looks up at the ridge, as if he is thinking before looking down at her. "Do you think you can cold onto me while I climb up the ridge?"
He raises an eyebrow at her.
“Y-Yes, I’ll be able to just fine..” Pearl thinks over the past hour and how eventful it has been. Not to mention how terrifying these strangers are. She can’t even fathom what it’s like to be a human anywhere but her own district.
He nods before holding his hand out to her. "I can carry you easily on my back, or if you would rather cling to my front, that's fine too."
Athena snickers softly. "Just don't let Eleanor see you like that." She smiles.
Pearl is terrified to find out who that is, but assumes it’s all jokes. She nods, taking Goliath’s hand, “The back is fine..” As she speaks she can’t help but feel a bit bad for taking food from the group, but maybe she can make it up to them with something else.
Goliath nods, and easily lifts her up onto his back. He looks over his shoulder at her. "Hold tight. I don't want you falling off."
He bunches his muscles and leaps to get a good grasp on the stone and ice before scaling the ridge with terrifying ease.
The others are quick to follow. They too scale the ridge with no trouble at all.
Pearl gets taken aback by the wonderous view of the mountains and snowy biomes. She lets out a very slight gasp, saving air to make up for the short oxygen in this higher area. Her mind goes to how beautiful the world is, and how she missing exploring it more often. Perhaps one day time will be giving enough to allow larger areas of relaxation for more travels.
The coach, while in her mind, holds on with her rather tight grip to the large big boy holding her up.
Goliath looks back at her with a smirk before chuckling softly. "Like the view up here? We wake up to thos view every morning."
Athena is quick to join his side. "So, are we going back to the cave?" She raises an eyebrow at him.
“Goodness it’s like a snowwy version of what we have at home..! We don’t see snow too often..” Pearl softly giggles underneath her breath. She wonders what the cave will be like, and what she will explain to Rusty. It’s a tad worrying; Nobody likes when he’s upset, especially Pearl.
Goliath nods. "It also gives us plenty of places to hide. We often hide in the snow storms, and ambush human camps."
He leads the others to the cave in the side of the mountain. He gently grasps her and gently places her down onto the cave floor. The cave itself is a vast network of caverns made to be rooms for each Articulate. It's definitely much warmer in the cave than out in the snow.
Almost immediately, Goliath relaxes, and sighs. It's almost as if he is an entirely different engine.
“Oh uhm, are you alright..?” Pearl hesitantly asks, noticing the major change of demeanor from the big boy. She notices how large the cave truly is, hearing the slight echo of her own voice travel deeper.
He looks down at her and nods. "Yes. I'm just glad to be home."
The others all disperse into thier respective cavern, while one, a female AC-12, leaves the cavern in the center before smiling, and embracing Goliath.
"So glad you're finally home." Eleanor smiles and gives him a peck on the lips.
Pearl softly smiles, imagining finally arriving to her home with Rusty. The new trains aren’t as intimidating as they once were, and the coach is beginning to relax as well. She finds the energy within the cave is rather cozy.
Eleanor looks down at the smaller coach. "What brings you here?" She raises an eyebrow at the observation coach.
Goliath smiles a warm genuine smile, a nice contrast compared to how he was earlier. "She's been waiting for her mate. He's likely with Canuk discussing terms. She's staying with us for the time being."
A sense of manners kicks in to Pearl, for she bows the slightlest to Eleanor. She doesn’t want any more informal greetings after the whole run in with Athena, and the other articulates.
“I hope I’m not being too intruding.” The coach nods to Goliath, and glances back to his mate.
Eleanor smiles, and shakes her head. "No, you're fine. No one should be out there in the cold and snow. Besides, we hardly ever have guests here anyway. Make yourself at home here."
Goliath smiles. "The living room is a bit lower in the cave. I'm sure you'll find it welcoming here."
“Thank you.. A-And I apologize for earlier.” Pearl looks to Goliath with slight worry. She still feels sorry about everything that happened earlier, but she had to save those humans somehow. “Is there any way I can make it up to you all?”
Goliath nods. "We should have enough to last us a few days, managed to catch enough to feed us all."
He gestures to the leather pouch tied to his waist before heading deeper into the cavern, and towards one of the rooms.
Eleanor smiles. "It's the least we can do. There's no need to repay us. I'll probably go out hunting with the others again soon. I want to make sure we have plenty to eat for the week."
“Are you sure-? I’m willing to help..?” Pearl is a tad embarrassed by the height different from her and Eleanor. The coach gets more of a mighty impression from the taller woman just by being in her presence. She has no intention of being rude or pushy while speaking. There’s just a small hint of guilt within her that will remain if she doesn’t help at all.
Eleanor shrugs. "I'm not honestly what you could help with. I'll likely be gone for hunting with Draco, probably bring enough back for a week or two."
She looks down at the dining coach, as if giving an idea. "You can go, and meet Edwin. Athena is probably literally holding him right now. Her room is in the far right cavern."
She gestures in the direction of one of the caverns, presumably Athena's.
“O-Oh.. Alright... Thank you, again.” Pearl nods towards Eleanor, before turning and rolling the direction in which the taller woman directed her to. The coach keeps a steady pace, observing the vast halls. Edwin must be a human, she assumes, as the familiar scent picks up the closer she gets to Athena’s room.
Pearl looks up and down once arriving to the room, holding her tongue. She hopes they aren’t on any bad terms, as she knocks as quiet as possible.
Athena perks up a bit before climbing out of her bed, and placing Edwin on her shoulder.
She opens the door, looks down at the observation coach, and smiles. "Let me guess, Eleanor brought you here?"
She raises an eyebrow at the coach. Edwin on the other hand, is sitting on the Articulate's shoulder, almost like a parrot.
Pearl nods slowly, noticing the small child on Athena’s shoulder. His scent is extremely similar to what the coach had picked up earlier in the day.
“Mhm... Y-Yes.” She shifts her focus back to Athena’s, keeping eye contact to refrain from seeming disrespectful.
Athena looks over at the human on her shoulder, before looking back down at the observation coach and smiling.
"This is Edwin, our human. I brought him here after finding him out in a snow storm." She points over to Edwin on her shoulder.
Edwin waves, holding onto the side of Athena's neck as best he can to keep himself from falling off.
“Why hello..!” Pearl gives her best sweet and royalty-like wave to the small child. Edwin automatically reminds her of Ethan. It makes her happy at least this kid seems safe here. The coach couldn’t say the same about the humans outside...
Edwin hints a smile. "I don't think I've ever met you before, but the others seem to know. Apparently, everyone is talking about a queen?"
He raises an eyebrow at her.
“That would be me, I suppose..!” Pearl lets out a soft and kind giggle to the child. Edwin appears a bit shy to the coach, and she wants to be anything but scary to a small human such as him.

@dazzlingpearl
Rusty smiles at the sight. Zasha wags her tail, and Yuka does his happy snort. It's obvious the two Huskies know the observation coach is expecting.
Yuka curiously sniffs at her abdomen, tail wagging slowly.
Pearl is already having a difficult time not blurting out the news. It’s so obvious by the little scene she’s making with the huskies that something fairly different is going on. Her face is slightly flustered as she looks back and forth between the dogs, the children, and her mate.
Alison narrows her eyes a bit. "Are you sure you're okay? You're acting strange."
Rusty smiles gently before looking over at Pearl. "She's fine. Just an upset tank is all."
“I’m honestly better than ever!” Pearl is now perked back to her original chipper state. Oddly suspicious, but she seems perfectly fine.
Alison shrugs. "Okay. You're just acting weird. "
Yuka sniffs at the observation coach's abdomen again, and whines softly. Rusty stilfes a chuckle. It's obvious Yuka can sense Pearl's pregnancy.
“Young lady, that’s not nice!” Pearl jokingly speaks with a stern voice to the human girl, proceeding to stand back up, and put an arm on Rusty. She giggles playfully, and places a kiss onto her mate’s cheek. Her mood is just all over the place this morning. Something tells her that it will certainly be this way for a while.
Alison shrugs. "It's true. You're acting strange."
Rusty smiles, and gently holds the observation coach close. "That's because she isn't exactly feeling well."
He gives the pink coach a peck on the cheek.
“Mhm.. Not feeling well at all..” Pearl is happily blushing by the kiss she received from her mate. She sounds perfectly fine for somebody agreeing that she ‘isn’t well.’
“Let’s keep eating, shall we?” The coach discards the fact her tank isn’t exactly in the best condition, and makes her way back to her seat at the table. Her food has gotten cold, causing her facial expression to drop to an upset frown.
Ethan looks up at her. "Shouldn't you be resting if you're not feeling good?" He raises an eyebrow at her.
Rusty looks at his mate. "I can have a fresh plate made for you." He smiles gently.
“Please, Rusty...” She spends a few moments looking at her food. Without looking away she directs her voice towards Ethan. “No.. I’m just hungry..!” Pearl finally looks up to the small boy with a more sincere smile. She’s trying her best to seem normal, but really isn’t doing all to well at it. “No need to rest.”
Ethan shrugs. "Okay. You just seemed a little sick."
Rusty smiles warmly, and then whistles. A human servant comes running out of the kitchen, and stops before him, looking up at him expectantly.
"Could you please make another plate for her. Her food is cold, and she isn't feeling well." Rusty whispers the last part to the servant.
The servant nods before taking the plate and rushing back into the kitchen.
Pearl sits at the table a few moments, her expression static. As the time passes, though, it’s apparent the coach is already a bit impatient. Her mannerisms grow seemingly sad and tired, resting her head in her hand. The clicking of her fingernails on the table fixates onto a tempo. It seems she wants to focus on anything but her hunger and sickness.
Rusty gently lays a hand on her shoulder. "It's alright. The food will be out soon enough. "
As if on cue, the servant returns with a fresh plate of food before setting it down on the table in front of the observation coach, and bowing. The servant then races back into the kitchen.
Pearl immediately rushes to devour her food. Her tank goes from feeling full, and back to that terrible nauseous feeling she experienced previously. The coach immediately regrets her decisions to continue and further herself to eat, groaning ever so quietly under her breath.
Rusty lays a hand on her shoulder. "Do you need another mint? I can get the servant to make something that's easy on your tank." He whispers in her ear.
"A-Are you Okay, Pearl?" Ethan shifts a bit, obviously concerned for the observation coach.
“I-I don’t know.. I don’t think I should..!” Pearl gazes up towards her mate with a weaker expression than it was previously. “I’m alright, sweetheart.” The coach replies to Ethan, hoping to not worry the child all too much. It would be best to try, and make this a stress free process, but given it’s barely been any time and Pearl feels terrible, it may be more difficult.
