I am most definitely open for gore, some swearing (as long as it doesn’t go overboard same with violence), AU, canon, and the 2018 rewrite. A bit iffy about NSFW.

He is absolutely stunned by the sudden kiss, taking a few moments to process what had happened before chuckling softly. "Love you too, pipsqueak."

He wraps a strong arm around the diesel.

The big boy smiles slightly, and picks you up in a firm, yet gentle hug. He is warm as always and he chuckles softly. "Why of course."

"You heard me, @jessi-the-nuggettt . All rolling stock have identification numbers. Wagon/coach number or tractive stock number...like a car has a vin number..."

I think about it a little and then give another example, "like humans have a number on their id?"

I run a finger across my chin and close my eyes. "Locomotives also have a shorter ones too..the ones we most often are called by when we are spotted. For example..You may know the 4014. The union pacific big boy. "

Goliath looks over the moment he hears his number. "Yes, everyone has one. Some are just more famous than others."

He chuckles softly.

Rolls over to the big boy

"Man- Im bored- ya got anythin interestin' to do?"

The articulate looks down at him before shrugging. "Not really. It's been awfully quiet in the mountains."

"Boring per usual....wanna come over to m'yard...we got a new vistor 'ere. Dont know if ya saw him"

He is silent for a few moments, as if thinking before shrugging. "Eh, might as well. I have nothing better to do at the moment."

"His name is Reese, a diesel engine, an au version of me.."

He said softly while skating beside him..

"He's real nice. Quite like the fellow. He aint nothin' like Mr. Shadow district..if you know what I mean..."

"I see. I personally don't mind the Greaseball I know. He's a fellow Union Pacific." He skates alongside the diesel.

"I don't believe I've ever met him before."

Rolls over to the big boy

He nods. "Exactly. It happened a long time ago. It's behind us. The damage has been done already. Nothing can undo it."

“Master, why have you been ignoring me?” (For canon Electra)

Electra looks at the money truck before sighing. "Apologies, Purse. I have been rather busy lately. There's been a spike in passengers for the trains lately. I've had little time to spend time with my components."

He sits down on one of the elaborate chairs throughout the shed. "Tell me, is something wrong?" He raises an eyebrow at Purse.

He picks up the scent of blood before looking down at Purse. He notices the blood, and sighs. "You've hurt yourself, Purse. Do I need to get a tissue for you? And don't worry. I'm sure you will get used to the idea of actually being part of our found family."

He smiles warmly, a rarity for the electric engine.

“Hm?” He looks a little confused, and reaches up to his mouth when he feels the blood. His eyes widen with panic when he sees it stained on his fingers, and he nods hastily. “Y-yes please..!”

Even through his panic from seeing the blood, he feels a slight flicker of warmth. Despite his issues with his self-worth, he’s genuinely very touched the rest of his train consider him family.

He nods before picking up a tissue box, pulling out a tissue, and gently handing it to him. "It's alright. You just bit your lip too hard that's all."

He smiles gently.

“Thank you.. sorry I’m getting so stressed out.” He accepts the tissue and shakily presses it against his bleeding lip. “My paint isn’t messed up, is it?” He asks, trying in vain to look and see if his white paint has been stained by the blood.

He shakes his head. "No. It's mostly on your lip. Just be careful next time. I don't want you to get seriously hurt."

He hints a smile. "It's okay to get stressed. Just take a few deep breaths, and try to relax.. enjoy yourself more or less."

Purse sighs and nods. “I know.. I’m sorry.” He felt a slight twinge of relief, clearly Wrench hadn’t told him about the money truck’s more severe meltdowns. “It’s difficult for me to relax, I’m always worried I’m going to do something wrong.”

He hesitates for a moment. “During the races, when you told me to get Pearl to race with you... I thought you really were going to fire me.. I- I didn’t realise you were joking.”

Electra sighs and shakes his head. "That was wrong for me to say that to you. My apologies, Purse.. and, unfortunately, it's likely Goliath would be pulling a passenger train or two, knowing how famous his kind is, and all. In fact, he would likely be at the station most of the time. He doesn't seem all that bad. Strangely, humans fear him."

He looks down at Purse. He can already anticipate how the money truck will react to the news.

“No, it’s okay. I should stop being so sensitive, learn how to take a joke..” He shakes his head slightly. He should’ve known Electra wasn’t being serious.

Purse pales rapidly as his engine continues speaking, but he tries to keep himself calm. “A-at least I won’t have to work with him, if he’s only pulling passenger trains...” He falls quiet, clearly still distressed. “M-Maybe... Maybe I can meet him. A-As as long as you’re there!” He knows he has to get over his fear eventually, he can’t be scared of multiple engines just because of what one did to him.

He smiles gently and nods. "Of course, whichever makes you more comfortable if you want to meet him." He is silent for a few moments.

"I admit, it was wrong of me to joke with you like that. I should have known better. My apologies, Purse. I didn't mean anything by it at all." He hints a smile.

Purse hesitates for a moment, then nods and gets up from the bed. “...I think I can do it.” He still looks uneasy, but slightly braver now. He skates forward, looking up at Electra. “You’ll keep me safe, won’t you?” He can’t help but worry that Goliath will try to hurt him.

He smiles softly and shakes his head. “It’s alright, really. I know you didn’t mean it. I just get anxious, that’s all.”

Electra smiles and nods. "Why of course, I would keep you safe! It's a part of my job.. even though it's technically Krupp's job, but still, you're like family to me, so I will treat and protect you like family."

He shakes his head. "No. No. I should have been more careful about it. My deepest apologies.."

[electrasmoneytruck]

The money truck takes a few deep breaths, as if preparing himself. “Okay.. I can do it. Wrench says the best way to overcome a fear is to face it.” Big Boys aren’t exactly commonplace, so this may be Purse’s only chance to try and face his biggest fear. “Is he at the yard right now? I’d.. like to get it over with.”

He stretches up onto his toestops, gently stroking his hand across Electra’s cheek and smiling softly. “It’s okay... you don’t need to apologise. But if you insist on it, then apology accepted.”

Electra nods. "I agree. Besides, I doubt he would be rude to you. He has to deal with humans a lot after all. Why would he be famous if he was rude to humans, his biggest fans?" He smiles.

He hums softly at the touch. "Thank you, darling. Do you need to me to pull along? I don't mind it." He raises an eyebrow at him.

[electrasmoneytruck]

“I hope so...” Purse murmured softly. “I’m not a human though, he’s got no reason to be nice to me.” He can’t help but still feel anxious, but he’s already much more at ease knowing his engine will be there with him.

He nods slightly, lowering himself back onto his wheels and wrapping his arms around Electra. “Yes please...” The money truck pulls out of the hug, skating behind the electric and taking hold of his couplings. “..Ready.”

He smiles gently. "Oh come on, now. I doubt he would be rude to you."

He looks back at the money truck over his shoulder before nodding, and heading out of the shed. "He's likely near the station. If he's not there we can try the frieght yard."

He glances back at him before slowly picking up speed, not wanting to go too fast in case Purse didn't feel comfortable with it.

Purse nods slightly, holding Electra’s couplings a little tighter. The closer they get to the station the more anxious he starts to feel, although he tries his best to keep a brave face. He takes a few deep breaths to calm himself, not wanting to break down into a nervous mess as soon as they find the steamer.

“Have you already met Goliath?” He asks Electra, leaning to the side slightly to look at the electric better.

He looks back at Purse before shaking his head. "I'm afraid not, darling, but I have heard of him. I suppose we'll be lucky to see him if humans aren't swarming him."

He slows a bit as he nears the station. Sure enough, there are humans everywhere on the platform, all gazing in the direction of a massive steamer.

Goliath is looking slightly annoyed at the attention he is getting from the humans. He wishes he was back home in the mountains with the other Articulates, but touring was easy money. His gaze shifts as he sees the electric engine pull in, and is relieved to see some of the attention diverted to the other locomotive. He leans back against the wall, finally relaxing a bit.

Purse’s already pale skin turns even paler when he catches sight of the huge steamer ahead of them. His grip on Electra’s couplings becomes even tighter, and his eyes widen slightly. He stares up at the Articulate with huge, wide eyes, before his gaze darts around at the humans starting to turn their attention to him and Electra. Suddenly shy, he shifts closer to the electric in front of him. Usually he would enjoy receiving so much attention, but in his current nervous state he’s not as confident.

Electra looks back at him. "It's alright. You're safe with me. No one can hurt you under my watch."

He smiles gently to reassure Purse the best he can, knowing how intimidating the bigger steamer can be.

Goliath narrows his eyes slightly as he sees them. "Who are you?"

He looks both the electric engine, and the money truck up and down, more of trying to figure out who these strangers are.

Purse keeps silent, too scared to speak. Half of him wants to just uncouple from his engine and run home, away from this terrifying steamer, but the other half is scared to be away from Electra. So instead he stays exactly where he is, clinging to Electra’s couplings as tight as he can whilst he continues staring up at Goliath.

“...H-Hi.” He finally managed to mumble, still looking frightened.

Electra hints a smile. "I am Electra, and the money truck behind me is Purse. He is one of my components, and what brings you here, may I ask?"

He raises an eyebrow at the large steamer.

Golisth hints a smirk when he sees how uneasy the money truck is. "Well, I'm just touring.. I suppose you came here to see me, am I correct?"

He smiles a bit, and raises an eyebrow at the electric engine, and the money truck.

Purse nods uneasily, his gaze darting around to the humans still surrounding them on the platform. “Electra, it’s too crowded. I don’t want all these humans staring..” He mumbled quietly, quickly looking back up at Goliath. He doesn’t feel comfortable trying to talk whilst having humans listening in.

Electra looks back at him before nodding. "Could we talk in private, Goliath? Purse, and I would like to have a chat."

He raises an eyebrow at the Articulate. He secretly hopes he would say yes, but hard telling with the large steamer.

He narrows his eyes at the electric, a bit suspicious about the offer before nodding. "Of course."

He stands up. "Anywhere in particular?"

"Hey rustbucket, enjoying your victory?" (canon Rusty)

Rusty looks at the big diesel suspiciously before rolling back a little bit. "I'm a little happier now, if that's what you're asking. Why do you care?"

He narrows his amber eyes.

[greaseball-and-dinah]

Goliath shrugs. "If you feel ready to learn, we can start. However, you can't do much at the moment in your current state. The best you can probably do is catch mice. All you have to do is stay out of sight and wait for them to come along."

Greaseball’s expression quickly turns into a scowl. “You don’t decide what I can and can’t do!” He snaps, quickly getting to his wheels. Whilst he’s already acknowledged his current limitations, he hates anyone else pointing them out. Although he knows he can’t do a lot right now, his stubborn side now wants to prove Goliath wrong.

Goliath smirks before standing up straight, easily towering over the diesel. "Oh really now? I'm just saying you should take it easy. Besides, hunting mice is an excellent start. It's easy, but you need to be patient, which is something I don't think you have.."

He chuckles softly.

Rusty shifts nervously. "Guys. Please not this close to the humans. They can easily get hurt if they get caught in a fight between you two."

He takes a couple strides back, not exactly sure what the two bigger engines would do next.

[greaseball-and-dinah]

Greaseball is on the verge of completely losing his temper, but he forces himself to keep calm. He doesn’t want to put the humans in danger.

“I’ve got plenty of patience!” He snaps, stretching up onto his toestops to try and gain a bit more height; he’s still almost a head shorter than the other engine though. This doesn’t make him any calmer though, and he stamps his foot angrily. “I’ll prove it! I don’t need to ‘take it easy’! Quit actin’ like I’m gonna break down any second, both of ya!”

Rusty winces at the diesel's tone before shaking his head. "Greaseball, please. I just don't want you to get hurt even further. I can't carry you all the way back to the train yard. "

[goliath-the-big-boy]

Goliath shakes his head and sighs before crossing his arms. "You need to out yourself first sometimes. You need to know your limit. Trust me, you don't want to take on as much as you normally can when you're injured this badly."

[greaseball-and-dinah]

“I’m not injured!” He snaps, stamping his foot again. He winces as a sharp jolt of pain shoots up his leg, but he doesn’t back down. He turns to Rusty, a flicker of insecurity visible despite his angry expression. “Why d’you even care? All the year we’ve known each other I treated you like complete garbage, why d’you give a damn about my wellbein’?”

He glances back at Goliath. “And you’re just pityin’ me, ain’t ya? You rock up outta the blue, bigger a-and stronger and better than me and-” He shakes his head slightly, glaring up at the steamer as he backs away slightly. “I’m a Union Pacific diesel, I know my limits! And my limits don’t exist, I hate bein’ treated like I’m useless!”

Rusty winces at the diesel snapping at the bigger steamer. He shifts a bit at the diesel's question.

"Just because you were mean to me doesn't mean I have to be the same to you. If you want to recover faster, you need to rest."

He glances at the ground, not sure if he should take a few strides back or not.

[goliath-the-big-boy]

Goliath sighs and rolls his eyes. "The only reason I'm here is because I was told you needed help here. My best guess is that a famous engine comes along, attracts attention, and the yard gets more money with more people wanting to see me." He rolls his eyes.

"As for being useless, you're not. You need to rest. You can't hunt very well if you're not in good shape. If you want a challenge, either go after a deer, or a human. Although.. humans are a bit too easy. Deer are skittish, and pose a much bigger challenge." He shrugs.

[greaseball-and-dinah]

“‘Famous engine’? I’m famous enough!” Greaseball snarls, seething with anger. He’s so angry he can feel his radiator on the verge of overheating, but he ignores it. “You two probably don’t realise it, but my bosses at UP are threatin’ to send me to the scrapyard if I don’t prove I’m still an asset to them! I can’t rest right now, if I’m not workin’ then I’m gonna get scrapped!”

He grimaces slightly, before gagging and coughing up a mouthful of exhaust. “Shit...” He mutters, pressing his hand against his mouth. He should’ve kept his anger in check, his radiator always seems to overheat when he’s angry.

"And that.. right there is why you need to join us. You see how cruel humans are. They don't care. Join us, and you will never have to fear humans at all." He smiles a wolfish grin.

He leans in close to whisper in the diesel's ear. "You may not know it yet, but we have gathered enough forces, and are about to go to war..." he chuckles softly.

Rusty immediately races over to the big diesel. "Greaseball! Are you okay?"

He reluctantly lays a supportive hand on his shoulder, almost afriad the diesel would hit him.

[greaseball-and-dinah]

Greaseball answers Goliath by coughing up another mouthful of exhaust. He hasn’t fully understood what Goliath’s just said, too preoccupied with his overheating radiator. He tries to push him back, uncomfortable with having the bigger engine in his face.

He glances down at Rusty, and surprisingly doesn’t even shrugs his hand off him. “M’okay, radiator’s playin’ up is all. Been worse since the races, get too riled up and the damn thing overheats...” He coughs up another mouthful of exhaust. He’s uncomfortably warm to the touch, his body warmed as his systems work to try and cool him off. “Y-You got any water?”

Rusty nods before taking off his tender like a backpack, and digging through the coal, he grabs a small cantine before offering it to him. "I don't leave without it just in case I run out of water in my boiler. You need it more than me."

Goliath sighs before leaning back against the tree. He knows when the war will start. They have a well calculated plan to overthrow the humans once and for all. He knows humans are unprepared for it, so war must be done quickly, and they already have the aid of the Starlight Express itself, which will greatly aid them during the war.

“Master, why have you been ignoring me?” (For canon Electra)

Electra looks at the money truck before sighing. "Apologies, Purse. I have been rather busy lately. There's been a spike in passengers for the trains lately. I've had little time to spend time with my components."

He sits down on one of the elaborate chairs throughout the shed. "Tell me, is something wrong?" He raises an eyebrow at Purse.

He picks up the scent of blood before looking down at Purse. He notices the blood, and sighs. "You've hurt yourself, Purse. Do I need to get a tissue for you? And don't worry. I'm sure you will get used to the idea of actually being part of our found family."

He smiles warmly, a rarity for the electric engine.

“Hm?” He looks a little confused, and reaches up to his mouth when he feels the blood. His eyes widen with panic when he sees it stained on his fingers, and he nods hastily. “Y-yes please..!”

Even through his panic from seeing the blood, he feels a slight flicker of warmth. Despite his issues with his self-worth, he’s genuinely very touched the rest of his train consider him family.

He nods before picking up a tissue box, pulling out a tissue, and gently handing it to him. "It's alright. You just bit your lip too hard that's all."

He smiles gently.

“Thank you.. sorry I’m getting so stressed out.” He accepts the tissue and shakily presses it against his bleeding lip. “My paint isn’t messed up, is it?” He asks, trying in vain to look and see if his white paint has been stained by the blood.

He shakes his head. "No. It's mostly on your lip. Just be careful next time. I don't want you to get seriously hurt."

He hints a smile. "It's okay to get stressed. Just take a few deep breaths, and try to relax.. enjoy yourself more or less."

Purse sighs and nods. “I know.. I’m sorry.” He felt a slight twinge of relief, clearly Wrench hadn’t told him about the money truck’s more severe meltdowns. “It’s difficult for me to relax, I’m always worried I’m going to do something wrong.”

He hesitates for a moment. “During the races, when you told me to get Pearl to race with you... I thought you really were going to fire me.. I- I didn’t realise you were joking.”

Electra sighs and shakes his head. "That was wrong for me to say that to you. My apologies, Purse.. and, unfortunately, it's likely Goliath would be pulling a passenger train or two, knowing how famous his kind is, and all. In fact, he would likely be at the station most of the time. He doesn't seem all that bad. Strangely, humans fear him."

He looks down at Purse. He can already anticipate how the money truck will react to the news.

“No, it’s okay. I should stop being so sensitive, learn how to take a joke..” He shakes his head slightly. He should’ve known Electra wasn’t being serious.

Purse pales rapidly as his engine continues speaking, but he tries to keep himself calm. “A-at least I won’t have to work with him, if he’s only pulling passenger trains...” He falls quiet, clearly still distressed. “M-Maybe... Maybe I can meet him. A-As as long as you’re there!” He knows he has to get over his fear eventually, he can’t be scared of multiple engines just because of what one did to him.

He smiles gently and nods. "Of course, whichever makes you more comfortable if you want to meet him." He is silent for a few moments.

"I admit, it was wrong of me to joke with you like that. I should have known better. My apologies, Purse. I didn't mean anything by it at all." He hints a smile.

Purse hesitates for a moment, then nods and gets up from the bed. “...I think I can do it.” He still looks uneasy, but slightly braver now. He skates forward, looking up at Electra. “You’ll keep me safe, won’t you?” He can’t help but worry that Goliath will try to hurt him.

He smiles softly and shakes his head. “It’s alright, really. I know you didn’t mean it. I just get anxious, that’s all.”

Electra smiles and nods. "Why of course, I would keep you safe! It's a part of my job.. even though it's technically Krupp's job, but still, you're like family to me, so I will treat and protect you like family."

He shakes his head. "No. No. I should have been more careful about it. My deepest apologies.."

The money truck takes a few deep breaths, as if preparing himself. “Okay.. I can do it. Wrench says the best way to overcome a fear is to face it.” Big Boys aren’t exactly commonplace, so this may be Purse’s only chance to try and face his biggest fear. “Is he at the yard right now? I’d.. like to get it over with.”

He stretches up onto his toestops, gently stroking his hand across Electra’s cheek and smiling softly. “It’s okay... you don’t need to apologise. But if you insist on it, then apology accepted.”

Electra nods. "I agree. Besides, I doubt he would be rude to you. He has to deal with humans a lot after all. Why would he be famous if he was rude to humans, his biggest fans?" He smiles.

He hums softly at the touch. "Thank you, darling. Do you need to me to pull along? I don't mind it." He raises an eyebrow at him.

“I hope so...” Purse murmured softly. “I’m not a human though, he’s got no reason to be nice to me.” He can’t help but still feel anxious, but he’s already much more at ease knowing his engine will be there with him.

He nods slightly, lowering himself back onto his wheels and wrapping his arms around Electra. “Yes please...” The money truck pulls out of the hug, skating behind the electric and taking hold of his couplings. “..Ready.”

He smiles gently. "Oh come on, now. I doubt he would be rude to you."

He looks back at the money truck over his shoulder before nodding, and heading out of the shed. "He's likely near the station. If he's not there we can try the frieght yard."

He glances back at him before slowly picking up speed, not wanting to go too fast in case Purse didn't feel comfortable with it.

Purse nods slightly, holding Electra’s couplings a little tighter. The closer they get to the station the more anxious he starts to feel, although he tries his best to keep a brave face. He takes a few deep breaths to calm himself, not wanting to break down into a nervous mess as soon as they find the steamer.

“Have you already met Goliath?” He asks Electra, leaning to the side slightly to look at the electric better.

He looks back at Purse before shaking his head. "I'm afraid not, darling, but I have heard of him. I suppose we'll be lucky to see him if humans aren't swarming him."

He slows a bit as he nears the station. Sure enough, there are humans everywhere on the platform, all gazing in the direction of a massive steamer.

Goliath is looking slightly annoyed at the attention he is getting from the humans. He wishes he was back home in the mountains with the other Articulates, but touring was easy money. His gaze shifts as he sees the electric engine pull in, and is relieved to see some of the attention diverted to the other locomotive. He leans back against the wall, finally relaxing a bit.

Purse’s already pale skin turns even paler when he catches sight of the huge steamer ahead of them. His grip on Electra’s couplings becomes even tighter, and his eyes widen slightly. He stares up at the Articulate with huge, wide eyes, before his gaze darts around at the humans starting to turn their attention to him and Electra. Suddenly shy, he shifts closer to the electric in front of him. Usually he would enjoy receiving so much attention, but in his current nervous state he’s not as confident.

Electra looks back at him. "It's alright. You're safe with me. No one can hurt you under my watch."

He smiles gently to reassure Purse the best he can, knowing how intimidating the bigger steamer can be.

Goliath narrows his eyes slightly as he sees them. "Who are you?"

He looks both the electric engine, and the money truck up and down, more of trying to figure out who these strangers are.

Purse keeps silent, too scared to speak. Half of him wants to just uncouple from his engine and run home, away from this terrifying steamer, but the other half is scared to be away from Electra. So instead he stays exactly where he is, clinging to Electra’s couplings as tight as he can whilst he continues staring up at Goliath.

“...H-Hi.” He finally managed to mumble, still looking frightened.

Electra hints a smile. "I am Electra, and the money truck behind me is Purse. He is one of my components, and what brings you here, may I ask?"

He raises an eyebrow at the large steamer.

Golisth hints a smirk when he sees how uneasy the money truck is. "Well, I'm just touring.. I suppose you came here to see me, am I correct?"

He smiles a bit, and raises an eyebrow at the electric engine, and the money truck.
