one of the biggest comedic elements in Teen Wolf is the utter disparity between Scott and Stiles attitude towards the supernatural - like Scott is THE teen wolf, packs of werewolves are dropping out of the sky on his way to school, his classmates are turning into lizards/demons/chimeras but he’s still like “im just a normal guy and maybe i can go on a date with Allison :) and grow up normally in a normal way” even as his eyes start glowing and he sprouts claws and fangs. meanwhile, “regular human” Stiles Stilinski can endure a maximum of 15 without an evil cult showing up before he gets bored and starts poking around for more dead bodies

The Sciles rain fight is devastating, a heartbreaking tragedy of love and miscommunication etc, but there's also just something so darkly funny about it. POV you're Scott McCall and you go ask your friend if he really beat some guy to death with a wrench for making threats about his dad, the whole story sounds bizarre and impossible but your friend has been off lately and this is the only version you've got. So you go ask, like expecting him to be like wtf no, but instead he's like yeah ofc I did. Ofc I did. Wtf else was I supposed to do? What, you're telling me you wouldn't do that? Literally what else could I have done in that situation?

And when you're like ... I mean... anything else, you could have done anything else? Your friend just loses it like Mr. Perfect over here not beating people to death with wrenches in a fit of blind rage ooooooh you think you're SO great asshole don't you. He's like the guy was threatening my dad, obviously there was nothing else I could have done in that situation except bash his skull in with a wrench until he was nothing but muck. And then he says it was a mistake. And then he asks you what to do about it now.

And it's raining and a girl is dying twenty feet away from you and everyone wants you to fix it and you don't know what to do and you don't know where your other friends are and you were kind of counting on your friend to find them but it seems like maybe he's got some stuff to work through. So you're like maybe your dad can help don't worry about finding our other friends just go talk to your dad.

And then you go inside and your other friend is like hey, this girl is dying, you need to kill her!

teen wolf is fr show of all time. their commitment to using edm makes it work. introduce the most dog coded character and go this is a werewolf. scott genuinely thinking lycanthropy is a disease. the asshole jock character is that way because he's adopted and his best friend is a gay guy who btw everyone likes. scott being shocked allisons family are werewolf hunters versus jackson immediately going “it makes sense. argent in french is silver” jackson hating scott so bad because hes suddenly good at lacrosse that he genuinely tries to murder him. scott not caring that there might be a serial killer on the loose bc he just wants his inhaler back bc those things are like 50 dollars. scott also not caring that hes a werewolf bc hes got work and homework and lacrosse and a pretty girl to impress. and his genius sarcastic best friend has adhd. and all of this happened in the first season.

Kaladin and Shallan's times in the chasms were hilarious. Both knew they survived the fall thanks to Stormlight. Both knew the other shouldn't have survived without it. They should have saved the other, however did they do it. It's the only explanation. Probably. Maybe. They spent enough time disliking each other and bickering and not listening to what the other was saying that Kaladin completely missed Shallan talking to herself and magically amplifying her body and Shallan blissfully ignored Kaladin's screaming for Syl. They're both mysteriously fit and capable. Surely a lighteyed woman with a supposed desk job can routinely keep up with an experienced soldier powered by the forces of anime and god on his side. Whatever. Kaladin spilt that he knew the plains are symmetrical because... he had a dream about flying over them, like one does, apparently, and Shallan only cocked an eyebrow. They were so caught up in their own terrible cover-ups that the fact that the other was doing it even worse flew over their heads. Until they walked out and went, 'Hey—'

shallan and adolin's marriage just gets funnier the longer you think about it. shallan's family is on the verge of bankruptcy because she Murdered Her Father so she decides to Rob A Princess instead of just asking for help like a normal person. she's not sure if she should go through with the robbery until the princess, now her teacher, murders several people in front of her in a live action trolley problem. the robbery succeeds, because jasnah has been hiding magic powers from the world via fake jewellery for the past six years. however, the guilt and shallan's own magical powers, as well as her doomed romance with an assassin, disturb her so badly that she fakes a suicide attempt to avoid talking things out. she ultimately admits to robbing jasnah, who had no idea she'd been robbed, and nearly dies again at the hands of her assassin boyfriend. jasnah is wary of her, but ultimately decides she's not too dangerous, so it's only right to help out this poor idiot girl who she definitely does not care about what are you talking about. how to help her? firstly, fix the damn soulcaster. secondly, get her mother to arrange a betrothal between shallan and her cousin. why her cousin? because adolin has managed to piss off literally every single woman in alethkar, and shallan is so ignorant of red flags that she, as previously mentioned, fell for an assassin. the betrothal goes ahead, minus the stumbling block of jasnah seemingly being assassinated mid-journey. shallan ultimately makes it to the shattered plains. on her first date with adolin she asks him if he's ever shat himself in battle. true love.

6.1 Archon quest spoilers

The new Dain (and sinners) lore kills me. Cause like, when the sinners were first introduced as a concept, he basically implied they were a team. A squad planning to overthrow the despot king and save Khaenri'ah. That they were then corrupted and failed.

But this quest reveals that most of them barely knew each other. They all just knew Dain! They didn't even come to fight for noble reasons, Dain wanted to save his brother, and they went along with it (we technically learned this via the x box wings, but still).

We have Surtalogi, Dain's childhood friend/knight training buddy, who only knew Dain and Ved (the latter just being his best friend's brother). Rerir, also just Dain's friend, barely knows Vedrfolnir, has not met any of the others.

We have a little less on all the Rhine and Hroptatyr relationships, but they also seem to barely know any of the others, other than Dain (and maybe Ved? Probably, but ambiguous).

The great scary sinners of Khaenri'ah, are just a bunch of Dainsleif's friends who let him drag them out in the middle of the night and convince to commit treason with him 😭.

Maybe Rhine and Hroptatyr are more Vedrfolnir's friends, and thats why they ended up agreeing to save him. But honestly, how they were acting didn't give that vibe. It genuinely seems they only ended up agreeing because it was Dain asking. I'd like to imagine after the scene cut (before the sudden cut to them committing treason after Hroptatyr was like, I dont want to though) Dain gave them puppy eyes until they cracked.

But yeah, it's just hilarious to me that Dain casually had some of the most powerful people in Khaenri'ah in his pocket, who would follow him to commit treason with a bunch of other people they only know via their fame (or vaguely through Dain and maybe Ved). They just trust Dain that much. Wild revelation. Dain casually the fulcrum of the Sinners.
