Waiting on a Friend || Cass & Daniel
cassandrawilson:
The sound of a car pulling up and a door slamming registered in her brain, but it didn’t draw much reaction from her, considering all the other noises around her. When someone among those stepping around her stopped to cough, she figured it would be Finn, until she heard the man speak. Stilling the hums coming from her mouth, she opened her eyes to see who had spoken to her. “Oh, uh…I’m waiting on my buddy, Finn.” She studied him, trying to place if she’d seen him around before. “Do you know him?”
When she said she was waiting for Finn, it took a lot of Daniel to not laugh and wonder out loud who this was. mostly because he thought he already knew all of Finn’s friends. “Yeah, I’m his fiance,” he said with a sweet smile, offering her a hand to help her stand up. “I’m Daniel Bates, I live upstairs with him. You can come up now, if you’d like of course. Or you can continue to wait out here for him.”
The Wedding Planning Drinking Game ;; Finn & Danny
metafinnwinchester:
“Not debatable, I’m right,” Finn hummed into the kiss with a grin. “I won’t be happy if we spend all your money, because then we’d be broke ass hoes, and quite frankly, I don’t have the required education level or skillset for a normal job. Although, I bet I could make a lot of money being a hitman, but….we’re getting off topic. People would kill us if we eloped after we made such a big deal about this.” He laughed softly. “I’m kidding about the theme, Danny, I’m not that gay. Ooh, I like those ideas for colors. Definitely satin. I love satin. And I like the muted but shiny kind of red too.”
“I don’t think I know the definition of broke,” Daniel said with a laugh. Though he was serious, he wasn’t shady or anything but there was money all over the place. There’d always be money. “Please don’t be a professional hitman? I mean-- you can, I’m not going to stop you, but like-- don’t become so good you need a bodyguard, like that late 2010′s movie The Hitman’s Bodyguard.” He laughed and downed the rest of his wine before pouring himself more. All the while, he was making ure to take notes of everything the both of them were saying for when Dee and him spoke. “Alright cool, I like that a lot too. Now uh-- wedding parties... We need at least two people for us. And someone to officiate the ceremony, since y’know-- Catholic and Muslim...”
Waiting on a Friend || Cass & Daniel
cassandrawilson:
It was a good day for a walk. Well, most days in Pansaw were, but today seemed especially nice. Cass felt for the first time in weeks a little more like her old self. She was actually humming as she walked through West Stone, heading to Finn’s apartment. She actually paused mid stride to marvel at her own mood. Huh. Better not dwell too long, still dark things she had to get through. Focusing on her humming again, she walked up to Finn’s building before pressing the buzzer. When she got no answer, she realized she’d obviously beaten him home and decided to just wait. She seated herself on the sidewalk and leaned her head back against the wall and closed her eyes, singing softly to herself.

After a long day of work, Daniel was ready to sink into his couch and watch The Bachelorette with Finn. It had become a really bad, but really fun past time of theirs. He had taken an Uber home, it was the quickest way to get tehre without Finn and he knew that he was still out being a hero for the day. When he arrived at the apartment building, he climbed out of the car with ease, noticing an odd sight in front of the nice building. It was kind of odd considering he had never seen anyone sit on the sidewalk in front of the building. He walked over and coughed a bit awkwardly, “uh-- you waiting for someone?”
archie-landry:
— After taking a couple of days to find his bearings and adjust to his new life in Pansaw, Archie felt decidedly secure in the city he now called home and had even picked out a select few places where he could call himself a regular. One of said places was the Pillow Cafe in the West Stone District, a quaint little place just as comforting as it’s name suggested. Following many early morning spent scouring the streets for tea (unable to resist the British within him), Archie discovered that it was the Pillow Cafe that served the best.
His only issues was, Rebel Base aside, he had very little in the way of interaction. His reason for moving to Pansaw may have been to join the rebels, but that didn’t mean they had to be his only friends. Very few actually left the base out of fear of prosecution, so oftentimes Archie was left to explore Pansaw alone. So when an opportunity to meet someone new came along, he always attempted to capitalise upon it. “Hey there,” Archie smiled to the person sat down at the table he had just approached, hands carrying the tray holding his tea and muffin, “I know there’re seats free, but d’you mind if I join you?”
Daniel was having an early morning at Pillow Cafe before heading to work. His thoughts were wandering, but thankfully, not anywhere bad. Life had been relatively chill lately, aside from wedding planning. The summer was coming up, the city was starting to heat up, everything was looking good honestly. A small part of Daniel yelling inside that maybe it was time to just lead a relaxed, laid back life as head of the company. But he ignored it, because he knew how volatile Pansaw was. When he heard Archie’s voice, he was pulled out of his thoughts. He smiled up at him and nodded in agreement, “yeah, of course. How’re you doing this fine morning, Archie?”

Who would have ever thought CONFIDENCE could hide so INADEQUACY? Who would have ever thought A MORAL COMPASS could BREAK?

D A N I E L B A T E S -- The man who is so passionate, it burns. The man that wants to do right by his followers. The man that believes he can change the world. The man who doesn’t really know what he’s doing.
THE THREE SIDES TO DANIEL BATES -- 1. Fearless Leader™ -- The side of Daniel that never intended for his involvement to go this far. He didn’t realize that when he was joining the Rebels that he was in for a motherfucking WAR. He took it though, he took it with PRIDE he never knew he could feel. He put on a fearless mask and hid how scared he felt. He shoved it deep down so that others would feel safe and warm and protected even though they were constantly on the edge of death. 2. Broken Moral Compass™ -- This side of Daniel used to think what they were doing was right. In the months that have come and gone, as the seasons changed from green to gold to brown, he never thought that his compass would fail him like so. He had always been so headstrong, confident in his decisions (and only his decisions mind you) but suddenly, that same confidence had failed him, that same assuredness had dissipated into the city fog. 3. Just a Boy™ -- This side of Daniel has recently discovered that there’s more to him than just his name. Daniel Bates has realized he grew up too fast, he’s realized that he never really had the chance to be a kid in the first place and that’s catching up to him fast. He’s really just a boy deep down, a boy that’s had to put on a mask for everything he’s ever done in his life despite his wealth. He’s a boy who’s never really known who he really is because he’s never been given the chance to find out.
DANIEL BATES IS JUST A PERSONA, A COVER UP, A SHIELD AGAINST THE TRUTH HE IS NOT AS C O N F I D E N T AS HE APPEARS HE IS NOT AS F E A R L E S S AS HE SHOWS OFF HE IS NOT TELLING THE T R U T H DANIEL BATES GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE HIMSELF STRONG DESPITE THE FACT THAT HIS MORALS ARE JUST AS GRAY AND BROKEN AS THE NEXT PERSONS BECAUSE PEOPLE R E L Y ON HIM, HE CAN’T BE W E A K.
Daniel Iman Bates can feel his life slipping away. And he’s afraid he’s going to leave so many disappointed people in his wake.
The Wedding Planning Drinking Game ;; Finn & Danny
metafinnwinchester:
“Hey, hey, you also deserve the best too,” Finn replied, giving Daniel an amused look. “I know money is no issue, but don’t spend a fortune to just make me happy. Honestly, you know I’d be perfectly happy running off to Vegas with you and eloping at some casino where we get drunk off our asses, and flower crowns are involved, and it’s recorded on the internet forever with an extra fee of, like, twenty bucks or something for that.” He smiled, sliding over to his fiancé and pecking him on the cheek once, pausing to think for a second before adding just one more quick kiss there. “I’ll love pretty much whatever we do just as long as I get to make you officially mine at the end of the day.”
The blond leaned in to give Daniel just one more kiss on the cheek for now. “Now enough about me. What would you like for our wedding in terms of venue, colors, all that stuff? Should we have a theme? Like love under the stars, under the sea?”
“Debatable,” Daniel chuckled softly, pushing his hand through Finn’s hair before leaning over to kiss him. “Babe, it’s whatever, you know that. We could spend all my money and I’d be happy as long as you’re happy.” He laughed at Finn’s suggestion though, finding it amusing that he thought like that. “I love that idea honestly, it sounds like the best option but there would be... A lot of people who would kill us if we did that and you know it.” He shook his head at the suggestion of themes though, “no theme, we’re not hipsters, Finn. But I like the venue you chose, I like the idea of people being able to wander between outside and inside, having everything confined to one space would be a little claustrophobic in my opinion. And colors should be... Muted but shiny? So like, a deep and kind of dull red tie but with satin so it still shines. Stuff like that.”
Join Today! ;; Josh & Daniel
For the past couple of months, Daniel had been hearing whispers about a giant demon type meta person that had been walking the streets of Pansaw and wreaking havoc. Whether said havoc was intentional or not, Daniel was curious. He wanted to know more about this mystery meta, he wanted to know what this persons deal was. They obviously weren’t C.A.R.M.A. because their powers would be under control, so they was more than likely someone who was just unaffiliated. And, somewhat selfishly, he wanted this person to become a Rebel.
Imagine what the Rebels could do with a giant, under control demon? Of course they’d never use this person as a playing card in any sick ways, but Daniel did want to help them control their powers, and show them that there definitely was a good cause to working alongside their movement.
Through the grape vine Daniel had found out (kind of) the demon’s whereabouts. Generally, the area this person hung around in, Elnora and Lompico. Neither neighborhood was ideal, though Elnora was more just homes than city life at least. While he walked around, his mind was wandering to what this person would even look like. He had no idea what he was looking for, but he felt like he’d know when he found it.
Eventually, Daniel felt like he was going to give up, he sat down a picnic table, looking at his phone to distract himself before he noticed a very tall, very looming guy off to the side, who seemed to be on his phone. Could that be him? He had the size everyone had described. Daniel stood from the table and crossed over, slowly moving closer and closer towards him, unsure how to navigate such an intense and weird situation.

Cedric had been avoiding the general public as of late. He was either holed up in his home, burrowing himself in his work, or drinking himself stupid because he hit a block in his writing. Now he had found himself running low on his favorite scotch and contemplated buying some more–that is until he got distracted and settled for a bar. Maybe if luck was in his favor, he would actually get laid that night.
Sipping at his drink, he eyed his surroundings, taking note of it in case he were to write this particular kind of place in his novels. He was just humming in thought about how to describe the smokey atmosphere when someone interrupted him.
“Unless you’re buying me a drink, I’m not really interested.”
“I just needed a place to sit at the bar but I’ll buy you a drink, so long as you don’t read into it,” Daniel offered a bit teasingly. He usually didn’t have to deal with unwanted flirting but he also didn’t want his kindness to be misinterpreted as him trying to get into anyones pants. He was just at the bar for a drink. Away from the base, away from home, and secretly, he was a bit glad that the other man was there and actually interacted with him. It got a bit sad drinking alone sometimes. “What’re you drinkin’?”
A Lovely Night (AU) || Winbates
metafinnwinchester:
“Dearest?” Finn laughed, glancing back at his husband with an amused yet fond look. “Don’t tell me we’ve become that kind of gross domestic couple now, otherwise I’ll have to cancel our babies.” He was teasing, obviously. He lifted the empty pot now and set it on the counter to hold the strainer full of pasta. He moved to the fridge, grabbing some Ricotta cheese and tomato sauce for their pasta. “Well, I bought some brownies, if that counts,” he said, bringing the bottle of wine and two glasses over to the table. “I was too lazy to bake anything while cooking.”
“It’s got too much of a 50′s vibe to it, doesn’t it?” He couldn’t help how loud he laughed. “I just wanted to try something a little new but I think that failed just miserably. It’s fine though, I can just go back to calling you ‘baby’. It fits you better anyway.” Daniel nudged Finn with his arm before he finished setting the table. Once Finn was by the table, Daniel pulled his husband close by the waist and leaned in. “I was thinking for dessert we could just grab the whipped cream from the fridge and figure somethin’ out in the bedroom...” He whispered softly before kissing him with more passion than before.
elasti-cop:
Santi sat in the cafe with a coffee and a paper, pretending to read it, but ultimately unable to focus on it. He sighed softly and ran his hand through his hair. As he noticed someone sitting nearby, he set the paper down to turn to them. “Y’know, California state laws states that the minimum sentencing for soliciting prostitution is a fine up to a thousand dollars and anywhere from 6 months to a year’s jail time? Not the most cushy of conversation, sure, but I find it interesting…” he said his tone deeply pensive.
If there was one thing Daniel needed throughout the day it was coffee. He had been weening himself off smoking, his nicotine addiction was bad, but the caffeine one... It wouldn’t kill him. Yet. He either grabbed coffee in the office or at the cafe nearby and it was supposed to be a peaceful and chill experience. When he heard someone trying to talk with him while he tried to get his few minutes of peace he felt a heavy sigh escape his body. “I feel like there are more intense laws to pay attention too that aren’t prostitution laws,” he said pointedly, “like meta laws that have been put in place.”
The Wedding Planning Drinking Game ;; Finn & Danny
metafinnwinchester:
Finn smiled at the kiss to his cheek, shifting his hips a bit as he leaned forward against the counter, bouncing the heel of his right foot gently against the floor. “Gotta love Dee,” he snorted, smirking crookedly. He was actually really grateful to have some outside help in this wedding planning thing because he had no idea what he was doing. “I actually did some googling on venues and stuff, but what about the Pansaw Plaza as an option?” he suggested. “It’s this big and beautiful and extravagant piece of property that looks like it came right out of a fairytale. It has areas for the wedding ceremony––both inside and outside––and the reception if we wanna save money and not pay for two locations. They have a good menu we can choose from, and I saw tons of great reviews. If not that, what about something like that, or the Athena? Although I’m sure the Athena will be expensive as all fuck…” The blond paused, lifting his glass to his lips and tipping his head back as he swallowed down the rest of his wine in one big gulp. He held out the empty glass towards Daniel, asking silently for a refill. “Really, I’m good with any indoor venue as long as it looks elegant and classy, the reception has good food, and it’s not going to throw us into debt.”
There was something about actually planning his wedding that Daniel just loved. Weddings weren’t that important but the fact that him and Finn were about to start their lives together? That was amazing. It was still months away but anytime the topic came up, Daniel found his heart beating out of his chest, in the best way possible though. “That sounds absolutely perfect,” he said with a sweet smile, “though you know that money is absolutely no problem, babe. I want you to love the wedding, it’s a really cool thing that we’re doing so you deserve to have the best. I can put the Athena down as an option and then Dee and I can see if it’s even possible, how about that? Seriously, like... Money is not a problem throughout this.”
People are often afraid to admit difficulties, but I don’t believe that there should be a struggle with anything that’s the truth.
