returning the kiss, his own eyes come to a gentle close. though it's more of an acting choice than being put off by kissing holly. he wasn't put off by it. after all, there was nothing repelling about her whatsoever. as the director yelled cut, he slowly tore himself away, swallowing as he looks back at her. "yeah, you're probably right. they always do that. as if they can't enjoy the story if it isn't happening in reality." plenty of his friends had lost strong friendships as a result of that specifically, he would be damned if he let that happen between them. "we have to promise that we won't let them come between us like that, yeah?" he asked, his voice a mere whisper. after all, his words were only for her, not for every member of the crew that surrounded them. he didn't remark upon the idea that one of them had ever had feelings for the other. after all, he had once had feelings for her. potentially more than once. he was sure it was normal and natural. they'd known each other for longer than they hadn't known each other. she'd become such a permanent fixture in his life. a fixture that he appreciated. "i've seen it happen so many times. people who were good friends not even talking in public because of what fans or...paps have said about them. i don't want that to happen to us."
a rueful smile flashed across her face, knowing all too well the damage fans or the media could do to relationships - platonic or romantic. it was something she refused to believe could happen to them, but she figured she wouldn't be the first person to think that - then be proven wrong when they had to actually deal with it. instead of voicing that, she held up her hand, extending her pinky finger towards him. "i promise not to let anything come between us, and have i ever broken a pinky promise?" she vaguely heard the director saying they were taking a break to fix something with the technical side, but her focus was on him. "i mean... you kind of have to be stuck with me. who else is going to put up with my crazy ideas? or point out the flaws in my plan, even if i ignore that."
"i mean, cliches are cliches for a reason. glinda is a brilliant character, i can definitely see you in that role." he nods a little at the rest of her list, impressed by the variety. he is sure that she'll complete her bucket list, from what he can tell she's a pretty determined person. "that's a good question. 42nd street is one that i'd love to be in. like dance captain or dancer, that'd be an ideal role. that and...maybe chorus line, too?" he shrugs, chewing at his bottom lip. his list isn't as extensive as her own, but they are two that had been on his bucket list for a long, long while. it wasn't often that he spoke about his profession. not because he didn't want to, but because he'd assumed it wasn't of interest to most people. it was nice to have a conversation where that wasn't the case. "i agree. it doesn't make any sense. it's like when people shame others because they still build legos, or because they have a scooby doo lunch box. like, surely you have more important things to be mad about than someone finding joy in adulthood?" he shrugs, it hadn't ever made sense to him. as gloomy as he was, nothing made him gloomier than unnecessary judgement. "say less. that'd be so much fun. let me know the date, the time, the place and i'll be there." he clicks his tongue, pointing a finger in his direction. "yeah, i know. it's bad. i need to spread my wings, christmas movies wise. i watch the grinch annually, though."
she could feel her cheeks heating up at the compliment, as a small laugh left her. "remind me to invite you along the next time i have an audition for you to say things like that. i'll obviously return the favor." nodding at the choices, she couldn't fault them in any way. "42nd street does have some insane dancing. you do have to watch in wonder at people pulling it off day after day." she could dance, but not in the way that he could dance. dance had been the one thing she'd had to put true effort into learning, and from what she'd seen he always made it look so easy. she knew he'd still put the work in of course, but it was still something special. "right? like i'm sorry i didn't rid my life of the simple joys. but i'd much rather spend my time with childish hobbies, than spend my time putting somebody else down." people could have different tastes, and so long as nobody was getting hurt - she could never understand why others seemed so adamant about commenting on other's lives. "i'm down for musical numbers any time, i'm sure practicing with you, would be a hell of a lot more fun than my sister complaining about me singing too loud." usually she'd overthink everything she said in a conversation, so it was a welcome change to say whatever came to mind. "okay... important question, which grinch movie?"
"she's not." travis agrees, grabbing a straw to put in his date's cocktail. "would you still think that way if i told you she's into you?" he smirks, amused by the irony of the situation. "before she took that call, she wanted me to ask if you'd join us later and no, she doesn't know our history."
shaking his head, he kept his usual charming grin on his face. "no can do. i'm a selfish actor remember? i don't share well." he may not like to think of himself as selfish, but he was serious about not liking to share his partners. "what did you say when she asked you?"

Season 4, Episode 2 "Double Identity" GOSSIP GIRL (2007–2012)
although it was bizarre, going from playing a platonic relationship for so long, to a romantic one, he was grateful that he was going through the transition with holly. the pair had worked together and known one another for so long, he knew he wouldn't feel as comfortable with anybody else. "i know, you might be able to trick somebody else, but not me. i know you all too well." he chuckled, though the words held no malice. after all, he was faring much better. "yeah, this is definitely the time, i have a good feeling about it." though he was far from certain, he allowed the words to fall. more to reassure the director than anybody else. he heard the man yell action, the slight uncertainty within his tone almost enough to make him laugh right then and then, but he resists it. his shoulders straighten and his hand comes to cradle holly's cheek, thumb grazing along her cheek, following the stage directions - and subsequent guidance - perfectly. "you deserve better," he murmurs then, already anticipating the yell of cut. it was a strange twist of dynamic, he was sure most would understand it was a lot to get used to.
a dangerous glint shone in her eyes, as the corner of her mouth pulled up in a smirk. "i can't trick you? that feels like a challenge gibson." whispering the words, so that only he could hear them. she figured the laughter had been disruptive enough, she could keep her voice low while they were setting everything up again. closing her eyes when she felt his hand on her cheek, she moved her hand to rest on his side, making sure the camera would pick up the movement - deciding if she kept her eyes shut, she could pretend it was somebody else. when they finally pulled back, her eyes flickered up to his, a small smile on her face. making sure not to put too much distance between them until she heard the director yell cut. glancing around the room as everybody busied themselves with going over what was next, she focused back on flynn. "you know there's going to be some rumor about how one of us was secretly in love with the other the whole time right? because you know people can't separate actor and character." she'd mostly said it to fill the silence. it was also easy to joke about, when she had had a small crush on him at some point - but she put that down to him being one of the few kids she'd spent time around. and the fact he was a better person than most people she knew.
"for me to believe you, you have to quit laughing before you promise that." amusement was etched upon his own expression though, the drastic change from playing best friends to now having scenes like this was laughable and a lot to handle. he wasn't sure what would've been worse; having these scenes with a perfect stranger or having them with holly, someone he's known for as long as he can remember. he looks towards the director who appears far more drained by their incessant laughing than he did. all he can offer is a nod and with that confirmation, he turns back to face holly, waiting for their cue.
"i guess you've known me long enough to know not believing me is a smart move." teasing for a moment, as though there wasn't a crew of people around them. she knew placing them opposite each other again was good for marketing, so she felt it wasn't entirely their fault for laughing through some of the scenes. closing her eyes for a moment, to rein in the laughter, she finally gave a small nod to herself to go back into the zone. leaning in once more, looking at the space in between his eyes hoping that could keep the laughter in, her lips pulled up in a small smile. "we're going to so get it this time." as if saying it would make it true, waiting for the director to shout action.

plot: ben told his parents he was dating someone, and he was but they just broke up to due to his ex cheating, he's asking your muse to come home with him for the holidays.
''look.. i know it's pathetic, genuinely,'' he rubbed his face before taking a breath and looking at the other again,''but could you please fake date me so i don't have to tell my parents another person cheated on me? free food and a comfy cabin..'' soft puppy eyes are thrown their way.
"it's not pathetic." a little unusual sure, but he wasn't going to let ben think of it as pathetic. he could understand wanting to get through the holidays without any drama, and it wasn't as though ben was at fault in any way for his ex cheating. "how comfy a cabin are we talking? because if it's not straight out of a cheesy hallmark film, i'm not going." before dropping the teasing tone in his voice. "you know i'll help if you need it. and i'm always down for free food."

plot: tatum is an actress who keeps getting cast in movies that do really bad.. not to her fault [ genuinely, she is a solid actress in her opinion.] she just won a razzie award and is with your muse to celebrate/mourn.
tatum moved the drink in her hand slowly, turning to look at the other softly beaming.''i mean it's not.. the best but at least i actually won an award, right?'' she knew it was obvious it sounded much more enthusiastic in her head.
"you're looking at it all wrong." he spoke shaking his head. "are there bad movies? absolutely, some you watch and you think they should pay you back for the time you just wasted. but razzies? they're the so-bad-they're-good movies. seems way more fun to be in them, than the incredibly serious films that the critics rave about. if all else fails, look at sandra bullock. she won a razzie and then the oscar the next night. can't be doing too bad if you're in company like that."
Deena offered her a soft smile as she felt their hands on hers, a soft chuckle managing to escape her lips. "I mean that is possibly correct. I mean look at our faces." She exaggerated her face as she smiled. Deena was trying to be a little more cautious, but she knew she couldn't turn down a little bit of trouble—especially with Holly. Leaning in, her face was almost convinced. "I do agree he needs a lesson. But are you sure we don't want to start with something smaller first? Like messing with his things slowly? Or we should really go full impact." As much as Deena wanted to show the male not to mess with them, there was a part of her that was nervous.
"Exactly" She pepped up as Deena seemed to be going along with the idea. "Who'd ever believe we're anything but angels?" Barely holding back a snicker as she finished, considering chaos was basically her brand. Shrugging at the mention of 'something smaller', she shook her head. "I'm a go big, or go home kinda person. If you want to start with something smaller, you're probably going to need to be in charge of the ideas. I'll totally be your evil minion, just tell me what to do, and it's done." All she knew, was that she didn't want them to walk away unscathed after how they'd treated Deena. If they'd offended Holly, she would have shrugged it off and moved past it - but if somebody went after the people she cared about, then she'd burn the earth down.
"Oh? I didn't think you worried that much about that." She raised a brow as she went to nudge him gently with a teasing smile plastered on her face. "Study? Wow, I'm really getting the whole deal here. Aren't I?" Honestly, Charlotte was pleased that he was agreeing to help her out; it's not like she's always been the nicest to him. "I can help you study, though. Don't worry. Plus, we might as well start acting more closely. I guess."
Bringing one of his shoulders up in a halfhearted shrug, a small amused smile flashed on his face at the nudge. "I grew up with people forced into lives they didn't want, when you see what it can do to someone - you don't want others to follow the same path." The words more serious than anything else he'd said, but he fell back to his usual carefree tone for his next words. "Hey, if you're going to do something, do it right." He quipped, despite thinking it was good advice. He'd never been the best at thinking on his feet, so preparation was key. "Right... If we're acting closer, is there where I tell you my shameful secret that my name's actually Harrison, but that makes me sound like a grandfather so I never use it?"
Terrance was fighting his feelings about Lexi. He knew that Lexi didn't want him anymore, and this realization ached him. He didn't understand why all this time he was still hung up on her—until now. Everything felt like it was crashing down around him. "I guess you don't need to say anything, Lexi." He took a deep breath as he shook his head. "I know I messed up, and I never deserve to allow you to accept what I am saying now. I just thought you should know. I haven't stopped thinking about you since the day I left." He admitted as his saddened eyes moved to look towards her. Licking his lips, he took one more deep breath. "I truly am sorry that I am too late for you."
Forcing herself to raise her eyes to look at him, she almost wished she hadn't. It had somehow been easier to handle how things had gone between them, when she thought he hadn't cared. The fact that he did seem to care, and it simply hadn't been enough - somehow made it sting more. "You shouldn't say you don't deserve something." The words coming almost automatically, because that would have been her response to anyone - and she needed a moment to not think. Then a question slipped out before she could stop it. "If you haven't stopped thinking about me after you left, why couldn't you do it before you left?"
grinning, derya wrapped her arms around holly as soon as she flung the door open. she wasn't new to acting. derya had been in amateur stage shows for as long as could remember and had appearances in various low-budget dramas but it was her first staring role in a big budget movie. it would have been easy to get lost in the chaos if holly wasn't there to ground her or offer advice. "hi!" derya greeted before pulling away to let holly inside. "you know me, i'm always up for some company. i've already ordered room service but i could call them again if you want something?"
she returned the hug without a second thought. she'd never felt as deep a connection with somebody, as quickly as she'd felt it with derya. shaking her head at the offer of room service, she offered a small smile. "no thanks, i have some leftovers in my room for later. unless you don't have any diet coke... then i might need you to call them up." dropping her tone at the end, as though it was of the utmost seriousness. "how's your day been? please say it's been less boring than mine?"
"it definitely does. as hard as it is to say goodbye to one project, it's always exciting to get your teeth into another one." he agrees with ease, he'd been a dancer for as long as he could remember, and he didn't regret one job he'd had. although they weren't all picture perfect, they'd all taught him something, they all had a fragment of good within them. his smile remains a permanent fixture, enjoying the pace and ease with which they are talking. it wasn't often otto found himself interested in conversation. "what other roles are on your bucket list?" the question falls with genuine curiosity, chewing at his inner cheek. "i bet they would. seems like having fun is in short supply these days." the blond admits. he was often lambasted for not taking anything seriously enough, whilst his argument was that everyone took everything too seriously. "yeah, that's fair enough. i think if i had to do it i'd be laughing in rehearsals for a while." still, it's a beautiful scene and one of the most memorable ones, too. "why, thank you. as much as i love films, i'm not like...an intellectual film buff. i also wouldn't want to be. they seem to take movies too seriously and that's..." his hands raise in mock defense, "that's not for me." he nods over her own list, "so, is it bad that i've never seen elf?"
it was nice getting to talk to someone who understood performing, instead of people tuning out when she was speaking. "how long do you have?" the words laughed, before she thought about her shortlist so that she didn't end up boring him. "i can acknowledge it's so basic... but glinda in wicked. sue snell in carrie, lady larkin in once upon a mattress, kathy in the last five years, cosette in les mis and clara in light in the piazza - and i'll stop there so i don't bore you. what about you? you must have dream productions to take part in?" if she got to ramble about her love of theatre, it only seemed fair to offer him the same chance to talk about what he loved. "people seem to think you have to leave having fun behind in childhood which is... just the saddest way to exist." shaking her head at the idea. "well... i do still know the choreography, if you wanted to try it out yourself." she couldn't remember every role off the top of her head, but she'd had so much fun with that, that it stayed there. pausing as he finished speaking, she looked over at him in genuine shock. "... how have you never seen elf? it's such a warm and fuzzy movie."
