There’s magic. Sometimes you decide late to travel (just an hour) to see your favorite band play in Connecticut even though you aren’t good at doing anything right now. Because the person you’re missing the most, she went to the rock shows, and so you have to go to the rock shows now and forever. So you go but you have a list of songs you hope to not hear bc they’re too much, including this one, for many reasons, not the least of which is that she liked it. (And said she’d come to see them if only they’d play it. But it’s one million years old😅) So you do the research and it’s not on any recent set lists, pshew, safe. Then one of the awesome band members gets sick between sets for the first time in the 70+ shows you’ve been to (what?) and can’t play and the keyboard man/miscellaneous musical helper has to step in. And in this alternate universe set that’s being built in real time, they play it. THE SONG. And it’s just lovely, and you’re so happy/sad/stunned because magic. ❤️ 💫

#Repost When @shebakes said she “Would love a doll of @johncameronmitchell as Hedwig,” it only took a few days to realize the best way to honor Hedwig’s message was to have both a stripped down JCM in TG gear and the fully bewigged punk rock star all in one doll. A doll split in two! I knew this was an ambitious project, and I poured all my love and skill into mini Hedwig over the last few months. So thrilled that Jenn whose one work @ittybittybakerynyc is so exquisite loves the finished doll. @shebakesnyc (@get_repost) ・・・ Ladies & gentlemen lift up your hands for @hotdiggitydollie, a woman of immense talent who I met on IG and commissioned to make this unbelievable Hedwig doll. She makes these dolls as a hobby but had never attempted Hedwig before (despite her sweet and remarkable connection to the show’s early days). But beyond the original denim costume and incredible cape, the expressive eyes, the lips, the glitter, the shoes— the thing that had me nearly fall off my chair was the surprise full wig & dress removal and transformation to @johncameronmitchell . I couldn’t love it more. I almost feel unworthy to keep it. Please give Dollie all the love. She’s a remarkable lady who doesn’t have a clue how awesome she is or the artistry and talent she possesses. She also made the stop motion video you’ll find if you swipe ⬅️ I mean, COME ON! LIFT. UP. Two Thursdays ago, I was flipping channels and settled on an "Intervention" rerun on Viceland. When it ended, a mini-marathon of "F*ck That's Delicious" began. I watched episode after episode of Action Bronson and his squad living big and loving life, just totally delighted, and I thought, "I can't explain why, but I know these are my people." And then this happened, and it all made sense.
