this moment in the film stuck with me the longest after my first watch. that moment where his eyes come alight, where he takes his first breath, reborn. I still get shivers thinking about this scene.

Long before he was Gomez Addams, Raúl Juliá starred in the Broadway revival of Dracula which ran at the Martin Beck Theatre (now the Al Hirschfeld Theatre) in New York for 925 performances from October 20th, 1977 until January 6th, 1980. Also seen with Raúl in these photos are Everett McGill and Valerie Mahaffey. Raúl replaced Frank Langella in the play as Count Dracula, who left the production in 1978 to star in the screen adaptation opposite Laurence Olivier as Professor Van Helsing (the film was released in 1979). The Broadway revival won two Tony Awards during its run, for Most Innovative Production of a Revival and Best Costume Design (Edward Gorey). The revival was so popular that it spawned touring productions during the Broadway run and featured actors Jean LeClerc, Jeremy Brett and Terence Stamp in the leading role.
Not made by human hands.
the model for amadeo is olivia hussey, as always. the icon is not exactly orthodox, it's inspired by diego velázquez's christ crucified because it's a personal favorite of mine.
(Color study) He is like ''You hurt my master'' Albinus if he had managed to escape the vampire assault on the Palazzo. I don't find many fan arts of Albinus on internet :(
It would have taken another immortal to keep up with him.
so i haven't read the books but i did read the Devil's Minion chapter and this part made me laugh out loud:
he has synesthesia he sees dead people he was a monsterfucker from the start he's been a theater director a cult leader a lawyer and a mall architect he loves honky-tonk music he had his own mad scientist laboratory he's excellent at interior design he can identify cocaine by scent he once got so frat boy drunk he fell into a filthy canal and then got drunk again the very next day he's plump and juicy he's cinderella at the ball and as if the devil still retained the face and form of the angel after the fall
happy birthday armand i love you so much baby girl truly the character of all time
