This is my personal art/writing blog connected to the group blog @ahotcupoftea which you should totally check out. It's where I post my art and full-length-stories and reblog here. This is just for my own blurbs, sketches, and WIP. I don't proofread the blurbs. Mostly original works. DEACTIVATED/OUTDATED
This is a redraw of my first OC that I ever put on social media in April of 2014. Navi was the beginning of a whole collection of murderous fandom OCs. I don’t like to talk about it.
Aka my second favorite character from my favorite installment of my favorite game series. My first favorite is Kairi, but that’s mostly because of the manga.
I haven’t done a painting style in digital in awhile, and especially not on Sketchbook Desktop. I actually did the painting style quite a bit a few years back when I used Sketchbook Autodesk on my phone, but then I got a drawing tablet. SO yeah.
Honestly, though, I love Birth By Sleep. I’ve never played any of the games (except KH Union X) because I’m so bad at video games that I just avoided buying game consoles. I have, however, watched playthroughs and cutscene movies very often. BBS has my favorite storyline of all of the games thus far, 358/2 Days being a close second… Maybe because they end in tragedy and don’t focus on Sora, but ya know.
Axel’s Death Scene (ft. Roxas) from Kingdom Hearts
Hah! This was fun to make. My tablet pen broke (but a replacement is coming in a week), so I just made this on my phone using the Sketchbook Autodesk app. Neat, right?
So this is basically made under the assumption that Roxas was conscious within Sora when Axel died.
And check out the full version of this post on the Art Amino or the Kingdom Hearts Amino.

Here are the stills in case the GIF is also headache inducing for you.
These children are siblings of the royal family of Elzard.
Amaris (later known as Riddle) was the elder twin to Amelys, but sustained a crippling injury as a toddler that led to him being hidden away and Amelys named the heir to the throne. The two grew up in vastly different circumstances, but if they hadn’t, then they’d look completely identical with the exception of the hair and eye colors.
Amelys (later Rhyme) disappeared (ran away) around the age of 15.
Their parents — the king and the queen — both died in an avalanche a few months before the main plots begins. This led to Silica becoming Queen Regent until Amelys’ return (or confirmed death). This is also why Rhyme and Riddle are the only ones wearing normal clothing.
I… have no excuse. I genuinely forgot about Tumblr. I’m more active on my Instagram (sing-me-under) and even that’s a bit of a stretch. I also have an Amino, and I’m very active on the Art Amino (Ashe Kay).
Anyway, this is Nova. She was a Minor Deity of the Night Sky until the king of a country fell in love with her. She then became the Deity of the Night. The other deities became angry with her and on the eve of her wedding with the king, cursed her. This resulted in her becoming comatose and the king replacing her as Deity of the Night (although this just made him the immortal king of his own country so that kind of backfired on the jealous deities).
So after I revised the world building in Secret, I also changed two key points:
Lucas died in their late teens
Anthony is immortal
So the reason this is important is that I have Lucas and Anthony more time to hover over what was instead of what could have been.
In the previous versions of Secret, Lucas died while the two of them were still relatively young, not even age 10, because I needed to give Anthony enough time to be isolated from society to the point that he’s forgotten Lucas and pretty much everything, including how to speak. Secret takes place in their late 20s.
Most of the story’s relationship conflict focuses directly on the necessity that is soulmates and that their lives are distinctly worth because fate overwrote itself. Basically, there’s a lot of inconsisties from no planning that don’t make any sense.
So the current version of Secret has it so that these two actually grew up together and developed a relationship with each other. Then everything went down the drain in an almost anti-climactic but spectacular burst of flames.
The reason Anthony is immortal is for the same reason I made them young to begin with and also to introduce the concept of witches: immortal beings that defy fate and nature. This sets up the most important point in the story about Aiden having completely destroyed his original happy ending.
Secret is a story that delves heavily into destiny and specifically the people you are meant to meet. Almost all of the characters in Secret are people that learned of their fate and either tried to defy it and faced the repercussions or actively did so with mixed results. Previously, the only people that could actively defy the strings of fate were Lichs (such as Lucas), Demilichs (such as Violet, Seiren, and Dylan), and The History Maker (a special existence capable of directly managing the strings of fate, aka Nyt). Witches are like the unnatural version or like poor copies of the History Maker.
I’ll probably change the name at a later point since it’s just a placeholder referencing Ioryn, a vampire from an original story of mine. I’ll also alter the costume at a later point. I just really wanted to get this character out of my head.
Character Bio under the cut.
Akiyama Rin (they/them), despite their relatively young age of 24, is hired by the yakuza, trigger-happy millionaires, and villains as a cleaner for crime scenes. Their quirk makes it so that they can notice even the tiniest of discrepancies in a crime scene in order to clean/hide/alter the scene as long as they were aware of what the area was meant to look like; it doesn’t help that they have a moderate form of OCD. Rin doesn’t seem to hold any particular morals, but they are a massive fan of Stain.
Rin attended UA as a support course student. They only remained on the legal market for two years before becoming fed up with heroes. They stopped inventing for other people and ended up drifting for about a year on the little savings they had, spending their free time inventing cleaning supplies.
They entered the black market when accidentally walking into a crime scene. They panicked at the threat of death and offered to clean the blood and dispose of the corpse (using the knowledge of the internet that they happened to come across on social media cough Tumblr cough). Apparently, they did such a good job that the villain dragged Rin along. After another year, they cleaned a scene as per usual, they left a single but crucial clue that allowed the villain to be caught. By this point, Rin was so desensitized to death that they actually decided to offer their abilities.
If Rin becomes really irritated by one of their clients, they’ll either find a way to get them caught or will personally destroy them in the guise of a vigilante. Rin typically leaves a very small and nigh-invisible proof of involvement after cleaning a crime scene by etching their symbol (that resembles the word WHAT) somewhere nearby. The symbol was once their touchmark stamp on their inventions.
Rin’s favorite color is actually purple and their favorite food is frozen-food aisle creampuffs.
Quirk: Mental Overflow.
Their mind is capable of consciously experiencing everything that the human body can process with no mental strain (it’s impossible to overthink). This allows nigh infinite multitasking and the ability to sense everything that the human body normally ignores so as to avoid mental strain. However, this quirk doesn’t have an infinite capacity.
The mind can be compared to a closed container with a small leak connected to a slowly dripping hose. With this quirk, the container is much, much larger than average expect it doesn’t have a lid (it still has a leak though). When the quirk is activated, the hose loses its filter and releases just a heavy flow of incoming information. When the container has filled up, information spills out in the form of permanent memory loss in order to make way for new information. In the event that this happens, their eyes start bleeding, although this would be very difficult to achieve.
The physical evidence of their quirk is his glowing yellow scelaras.
(In the event that they have to go through torture, Rin would be unable to pass out from pain. This character was created with the intention of being experimented on by the league of villains in order to test if they’d be able to handle the strain of multiple quirks.)
You know that soulmate AU where you stop aging at 18 until you meet your soulmate? There’s another AU where you keep reincarnating until you die with your soulmate.
And I remembered another fic where a person keeps reincarnating while they’re soulmate is immortal because said soulmate keeps murdering the other guy when they meet.
So basically, at 18, you stop aging. You’re functionally immortal. For every moment you spend within proximity of your soulmate, you age normally. If you’re soulmate dies under inhumane circumstances (murder, slavery, suicide, etc), then they’ll reincarnate and you cease aging until you meet them again. The only way to end the cycle is if you or your soulmate dies a natural death. The reason for this is because the soul isn’t stressed out, so they stay by their soulmate forever.
The Demon King gets sick of ruling over humanity after a thousand years, so he sets up a clone to be defeated when “worthy hero #113” shows up. He decides to travel the world and cause vague chaos and confusion.
One prominent moment occurs when The Demon King finds himself in a “only the true king can pull out the sword” tournament. He knows the kid behind him is the true king, so he overpowers the sword’s enchantments and takes out the sword, thereby eliminating all hopes and dreams within the true boy-king.
He then proceeds to take over the world again, then hands it off to another clone and history repeats itself.
The Seven Vices are Greed, Pride, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Gluttony, and Lust. There are also their counterpart Virtues.
The Vices are believed to be the givers of magic. To the religious groups, Magic is a temptation that must be purged, and to an extent, it is. The Seven Virtues are intended to cleanse the world entirely. Truth be told, that would destroy the world. There is probably a better word than “cleanse.”
The Vices have been known to be linked with flowers, especially throned roses. Magic skyrocketed when it was revealed that letting blood onto the thorns of a plant will give access to a specialized magic. Roses are known to be a hit and miss as it’ll either receive no magic and you’d have to try again or the magic received is overwhelming strong.
The Vices first made contact with the mortal world in 2091 when the Vice of Lust incarnated itself as a mortal human. It was born into the body of a boy named Avalon James. It remained stagnant and unknowing until he accidentally fell into a red rose bush.
Oddly enough, Avalon is a very pure individual.
After that incident, the other Vices began to flood into the body that was compatible with them. They distinguished themselves from the original soul, which was still unknown, by taking on the appearance of the opposite gender. One by one, they took on their names and posed as simple spirits to outsiders, leading them to believe that Avalon was merely a medium rather than a Vice hosting the other Vices.
As they broke into the mortal world, their magic flooded in with them.
The Vices themselves don’t actually do much. Rather, they indirectly cause the weird things around them. Despite being otherworld beings, they’re not much different from actual human souls once they assimilate into society.
The Vices are: Alice of Greed, Valerie of Pride, Amy of Sloth, Lauren of Wrath, Olivia of Envy, Nicole of Gluttony, and Avalon of Lust.
In the story, the Vices are detached from the host body and are reattached to six of Avalon’s seven journal. Valerie is connected to journal #2, the one AJ found floating in the water that started of the plot. Journals #5 and #7 contained Lauren and Olivia, respectively, and were used by the antagonists.
Powers began to develop around the year 2091. Magic wasn’t revealed until 2106AD.
The knowledge became widespread when a video was released to the Internet of an adventurer pricking his finger on a flower to warn their viewers of the dangers. Instead of merely bleeding, he was suddenly engulfed in a burst of blue light and gained a sudden knowledge of water manipulation.
After many tests and observations, it was discovered that people were drawn to certain throned plants and that, upon pricking themselves, activated an inherent power or two and gained knowledge of said powers. Common plants can resonate with the general public while lesser-known have fewer resonances. Such lesser plants tend to delve towards rarer and more powerful combinations. Semi-common plants, while giving common powers, however, are known to /very rarely/, reaching impossibly, bestow the most powerful and rare.
Roses are considered the highest resonating plants. It’s almost impossible to find a person with complex/strong powers with that flower but there is a chance. Roses are, however, considered the basis for everything else.
• Ziren Starliez: “The Great Eecape” by Boys Like Girls
I actually sought out songs specifically for Ziren, so when I came across “The Great Escape” I was like “Yes! This is it!” It kinda actually describes his feelings while he was still in Ashueall and would occasionally run away before being dragged back. This song especially dictates his actions when he finally escaped for the last time.
• Anthony Slaughter, Lucas Astorme, Violet Arisen: “Secret” by The Pierces
“Secret” is actually the namesake for the entire series Anthony is from >w< My sister was really into Pretty Little Liars around the time that I was writing the original draft and I thought “Hey, this kinda lines up with my story. Secret will be it’s name.” Violet could be said to be the song’s actual narrator instead of Anthony as she struggles as the only one who actually knows the real secret since the other two have forgotten it. She’d rather keep them in the dark than have their lives crashing down around them.
• Nyt Tama, Reo Hatchet: “This Means War”
“This Means War” is basically a song about the lack of emotions that come after a breakup and that the singer would rather be angry than emotion, so that probably changes your perception of the song. I absolutely adore this specific song and I think it’s a perfect description of Nyt and Reo. I have short story that’s a general summary of their full story that’s called “Third Time’s The Charm” because of how often they get together only to breakup, with the third time being the time they assume will be the last time they see each other. Nyt actually cut the soulmate string between them, hence “I’d rather be a riot than indifferent.”
• Joseph Bryght: “Cinderblock Garden” by All Time Low
Joseph is one of the two protagonists of Game of Chase even though the narrator is Skylar. Joseph is singing this to Skylar, insistent that they could settle down and make a relationship even though Skylar is always running around looking for something. Skylar doesn’t believe they could stay together with his life the way it is even though Joseph is optimistic. Ironically, even when Skylar moves to the other side of the world after they finally start up their relationship, Joseph manages to keep each other in contact.
• Jamie Rowan: “Pompeii” by Bastille
Even though Jamie is the one I’ve listed for this song, it could actually apply to all of the main characters. It’s a song that applies to them after their tragedy ends and they’re just sitting in timelessness, pondering existence. It’s pretty straight forward.
• Avery James: “Wait For It” from Hamilton
While the song is not essential to the plot, it does fill in her character. AJ is patient, watching and waiting for the time to move. She’s always been like that. However, she is envious over how her brother Avalon is able to act on sheer spontaneity and receive better results that she does.
Ziren Starliez - Legally known as Zirec Nascal and publicly known as Tsuor Phoslane. He is a rare Lithe formed of two gemstones, the secondary Zircon and the deity birthstone Turquoise. His mother was a Spiritual Lumina while his father was a Human Terram. He was given to the late May Deity Meric Ozciti but was named by Pheal Nascal. His official name was given to him by Diamante Herois upon his 10th Age when he was moved to Ashueall. It was plain and boring and the people were stuff, so Ziren got sick of the place quickly. He tends to run away from his problems, so he escaped to Earaat under the guise of a travelling apothecary/mercenary. He met Riden early on and was stuck with him for the remainder of his life. Litheliun starts when the two are forced apart. He’s in his 20th age. He doesn’t really know Riden’s age but he registered him as an age younger based on appearance. Like most Terram hybrids, his taste buds process virtually everything as disgusting except for Vanilla Cake. Ziren is also the Wind Catalyst.
I was inspired to put down my FMB as said by this video. So yeah. It’s not the generic explanation but just a thing to shove the characters into. I have an explation below the cut.
Phiran is the Leader. He has an in-story term as an actual leader known as the Divinity since he has literally all of the other character’s powers to some degree: a jack of all trades. He’s not highly physically capable but he can hold himself in a fight. To some degree, he may even be overpowered.
Melody is the Lancer and actually uses a lance. She’s technically Phiran’s sister but the two of them start out with a bad relationship. The two of them are jealous of each other since Phiran was Marianne’s first child although adopted. Melody is Marianne’s biological child. The two of them, by nature, have conflicting traits and as such, the two of them clash for awhile. Despite the conflicting traits, they stll have connecting traits as siblings raised by the same mother and godparent. They complete each other. The two of them are a pair on their own and are the start of the story.
Harriet is the Heart. He does keep the other characters grounded as the one who has the most experience in the real world. He was an important character in the first story unlike the other. He has had no prior relationship to any of the other characters and is mostly isolated to some degree. He uses a battle axe and has a robotic prosthetic arm.
Mikaela is the Big Guy. She’s a hot-tempered powertank who could probably burn an entire city to the ground if she wanted. Even though she is small and has average physical power, she does use her fire power to enhance whatever she lacks. She probably shouldn’t but she uses her archer’s bow as its intended purpose while also as a melee weapon.
Rubell is the Smart Guy. He is the strategist but he could’ve been a lancer under different circumstances (like the original version where Melody did not exist). He’s perfectly capable of fighting himself with his rapier. He could be considered a Love Interest to Phiran. Funnily enough, he is the eldest of the characters.
There are also four other support characters. Riden and Ziren are usually considered a single role as the mentor character. They are the main characters of the first story so it makes sense. Jasmine could be considerd the “tag-along-kid” even though she isn’t really a kid. She is, however, the youngest and follows the main group out of curiosity. The fourth character, the “redeemed villain”, is Wren. He’s also Harriet’s twin brother.
Even though Eternal does have the elements things with Phiran being the one who holds all nine of them in the palm of his hand, the other four characters do not fit into the standard four elements. Melody is Time, Harriet is Mind, Mikaela is Fire, and Rubell is Light. Ignoring the in-story elements, you could pair Melody as Wind, Harriet as Water, Mikaela as Fire still, and Rubell as Earth. It’s a bit too complicated to do that though. Riden is Sound, Ziren is Wind, Jasmine, is Earth, and Wren is Water.
They get together because Phiran is required to find the other Catalysts in order to defeat the antagonist. Phiran and Melody already started in the same place. The two of them are introduced to Harriet in order to figure out how to start. Harriet could actually be considered the Smart Guy in the beginning but he can’t fulfil the role entirely until Rubell takes over. Phiran and Rubell already met as well so they have a reason to stick together when they do meet. Rubell and Mikaela are psuedo-siblings as they do live together and survive with each others’ help even though they aren’t really siblings. Ziren and Riden pop in ever so often to make sure the group is on the right track. Jasmine just so happens to fit into Phiran’s mission and helps them when she has to even though she was only a coincidence to a major plot point. Wren is similar to Jasmine except as a villain. He is eventually brought in for the purpose as Harriet’s twin brother as well as Phiran’s mission.
The missing ninth Catalyst is Luka who is neither a villain nor an ally. He’s there to begrudgingly help the main characters only when it comes to it in exchange for protection from the villain that is after any catalyst she can.
I honestly hadn't even realized it was October 1st when I did these. I just got bored and wanted to use my neglected brush pen. Ignore the pencil case. Inktober, I guess. I actually used a random prompt generator for the first one: Aerial Garden. The second one is the witch I drew in the first one. She's not anyone specifically. Just a random drawing.
When a child is born, they are usually given a true name, also known as a birth name. Most people use nicknames or shortened versions later on in life. In the case of a Lithe (another post), they change their name almost entirely. Once they turn into their first year, they are given a diagnosis as to what gemstone they are exactly. This gives the parents the time to decide a new name that corresponds with their stone. Upon having their First Age of Celebration (another post), the Lithe will officially be christened under the new name. It common for average families for the new name to be a slightly altered version of the birth name. When it comes to the higher classes of nobility, it seems to be tradition to decide on a completely separate name. For example, the Garnet Lithe had been born into a middle class family. Her name was Nessana but it was later changed to Garnessa. For Ziren, he was born Tsuor. Another tradition that ties into naming is one only found in Oshiean (another post). When the eldest child enters their first age, they are raised as the opposite gender of their sex until their tenth age. Afterwards, they are given free reign over their identity. Due to this, most names are genderless. However, if the child wishes to continue as the gender they were raised as, they alter their names slightly. This tends to complicate the Lithe traditions. As the culture is a light hearted one, they take this in stride and go along with it. This tradition does not apply to the eldest born if an older sibling was adopted. Wren was born as Eren (nicknamed Ren). In another situation, the Aquamarine Lithe had been born as Rain, changed to Marine, then changed to Marianne.
