Yoshikage’s dislike for dogs arose out of one fact, and one fact only: They could see him. Like this flat-faced little creature. Staring at him. Wagging its tail. Where was its owner? In the shop over there? It looked lonely. He knelt down slowly, glancing around to make sure nobody else was close, and stroked the animal’s ears. “Happy? There you go. Now don’t tell anyone I’m here.”

Most people would see another person die and be...put off? Frightened? Something of that sorts. To Kira, death and people dying were just a simple fact of life. He could see them – the moments that the soul left the body, the second before it flickered and then disappeared. Or remained, depending on how fate dictated. A bullet in the brain of some stranger, follow the trajectory, and peek in on a hitman. Curiosity dictated it. And…. “That was a good shot. How long have you done this?”

But the funny thing is, I actually drew him as a dragon myself a while ago! With an entire AU about it. Because au where your muse is a mythical monster? Yeah! I was torn between nekomata and dragon but @badlydrawn-stray-cat got that down pat!
So uh. Enjoy dragon Kira, and if anybody else wants to join in on this whole ‘draw/make an au for your muse as a mythical thing’ please do? It would be rad!

SPEAKING OF my SDC au for Yoshikage, here's his design for it. I need to come up with colors but here's what he wears since suits aren't necessary when you're working for a vampire and aren't practical when he might tell you to go blow something up on short notice.
Romance Headcanons
name: Yoshikage Kira
nickname: please do not.
gender: Male!
romantic orientation: short answer; demiromantic.
Long answer; Yoshikage grew up in a society that shamed homosexuality as wrong, and in a household that consisted of two older, military family parents with generations of homophobia to bring down on his head. So, even though he's always felt the same towards men and women, he's come to believe it's disgusting, it's wrong and there's something wrong with him if he should develop feelings for a man.
Also, his idea of romance is so warped. His parents were distant to both him and each other, and he saw few displays of affection in his life. Since they treated him like a trophy that could bring more to their name, he came to believe that love was mostly ownership. That the "real thing" in literature was a lie created by men who couldn't handle the truth that was 'the world is miserable'.
preferred pet names: Darling is the one hell default too; he hasn't experimented with pet names much. I'm sure he would absolutely love to come up with new ones. Also, "princess" would be one that comes up often.
relationship status: Please donate hand?
favorite canon ship: It's debatable Canon, but I do like Kirabu. I'm so hyped abt @unsatisfiedhand being here.

opinion on true love: It doesn't exist. People who pursue romance and love are people who are afraid of being alone. He thinks they're all finding a way to settle, to pretend that they're contended in their lives and their relationship when they're wasting time and not finding any real meaning. Really, he's just bitter. When he was a kid he really, really wanted to get married and be with somebody that made him honestly happy.
opinion on love at first sight: Nope, that also doesn't exist. How could it? You couldn't tell anything about a person just by glancing at them. After all, nobody would look at him and accuse him of being a serial killer.
how ‘romantic’ are they?: If you can actually make him fall for you, he's going to be incredibly romantic. Yoshikage's memory is super super good, and very accurate. On top of that, he's attentive. Even without his partner telling him their favorite meal or movie or song, he'll catch on to the way their eyes light up when they experience it, or how they're humming it constantly. He'll plan outings- in town, out of town - try to make every weekend something they could experience together, cook for them. He wants to be close and he wants to give comfort because he's lacked it for so long, and really, honestly, he just wants to spoil them.
ideal physical traits: Beautiful hands; skin that's soft and we'll taken care of instead of cracked. Well trimmed nails, painted, without chipped nail polish. He really likes people with nice teeth and lips, but he mostly sees people for their hands and skin.
ideal personality traits: Intelligence! He values somebody who is able to challenge him intellectually or at least end up in long discussions about a book or a certain aspect of philosophy. He also values spontaneity a ton, since he is the kind of person who creates and then never changes his plans; it keeps him on his feet. Something he doesn't realize he needs but is important, though, is patience. Yoshikage would be difficult to romance, because he has years of armor built up, and would have a crisis of the self, especially if he ended up with another man.
unattractive physical traits: Cracked skin and hands, a visible lack of physical care.
unattractive personality traits: Laziness, recklessness. People who actively act out and cause scenes. Those who don't bother to learn when the chance is permitted to them, sloppy people.
ideal date: picnic! He would love to go out for lunch on a nice cloudless spring or summer afternoon, set out a blanket and eat homemade sandwhiches.
do they have a type?: People with ugly personalities and beautiful skin. I mean, that's his murdering type.
For an actual date, he's into people who display a certain passion for things- whatever it might be. It sends him through these phases of irritated then jealous and finally inspired, which he desperately needs. He values intelligence; someone he can talk to and can challenge him intellectually! He also always seems to end up shipped with people who are either super soft or equally amoral. Oops?
average relationship length: Depends on the season. His dates last a bit longer in the colder seasons, since they don't rot as fast.
With people who would be living he would only go for a long term thing though. When he's in it, he's in it for a long time.
preferred non-sexual intimacy: Laying down in bed or across a couch, holding his lover and just reading, or talking softly together. ALSO COOKING TOGETHER!!!! that's the big one
commitment level: Deep! When Yoshikage commits to something he does it with all his heart and soul. A relationship with him would be very, very serious.
opinion of public affection: He gets really really EMBARRASSED! Public affection just isn't super big in Japan and he feels like he's attracting attention to himself. But he loves holding hands. That should be obvious.
past relationships?: 47 severed hands. No living people.

Name: Yoshikage Kira
Alias(es): Nope. People in his club in highschool would call him Yoshi-kun, but he secretly resented it. They had to pick the part of Jos name that matched with his father.
Gender: Male
Age: 33 in default verse! 22 in my Stardust Crusaders AU.
Date of Birth: January 30th, 1966. He's an Aquarius!
Place of Birth: Morioh, Japan
Hometown: Morioh, Japan
Spoken languages: Japanese is his main language. He took English studies seriously in school and persued it more and is basically fluent there too. He also can speak German! His mother taught him.
Romantic preference: He really likes to think he's heteroromantic but he's not. I think it's more accurate to say he's demiromantic and romance for him is really skewed.
Sexual preference: Again, he likes to think he's totally straight, but he's not. He's totally bi. (When Yoshikage was a young kid in preschool, he had a crush on another boy in his class. His mother caught him holding hands with him on his way out one day, and it caused s huge stir. His parents put Yoshikage in a corner and made him close his eyes. They berated him and didn't tell him when it was coming, but they would hit him with a wooden switch across his hands and back. To really let the lesson sink in. Growing up with two homophobic parents in a homophobic culture, Yoshikage has repressed and internalised a lot of it. )
Occupation: Low-level administration in a publishing company. His job is mostly with paperwork. When he's a ghost, he's a Hitman for hire.
Positive Weaknesses (like tickling or cuddling): Sitting down and reading together with a significant other. Cooking with/sharing a meal with his partner. It's just that they usually happen to be a severed hand.
Allergies: Penicillin and he's mildly lactose intolerant.
Fears: Public shame/humiliation, getting sick, extreme change, dying/moving on when he's a ghost. Being discovered, which kind of ties in to the first one. Being the center of attention is less phobia and more of an aversion.
How sickly they are: Yoshikage is an absolute health nut!!! He doesn't get sick and hasn't been sick in years. He's expecting to develop cancer in his 60s though, since its predisposed in his family and killed both his father and his grandfather.
How often do they hurt themselves: Occasionally he gets a paper cut. As a ghost he's significantly more unlucky though- he's constantly running into animals who like to bite him into pieces. It doesn't hurt, but it's annoying!
Appearance
Eye color: Blue!
Hair color: Blonde!
Height: He's 5'9"/175 cm. Tall for a Japanese man, short for a JoJo's villain.
Scars: He has tons and tons of them across his fingertips and hands. They're all from biting/chewing through his skin when he's anxious. The tip of his left hand pointer finger is especially bad; he chewed it down to the bone once in college. Sometimes it hurts when it's cold, even.
Burns: Nope! Though his dad threatened to burn him with a hot poker once if he continued crying when he was a kid.
Over weight: Nop.
Under weight: Also no, Yoshikage obsessively watches his weight so he can calculate exactly where he needs to be and adjust his behavior accordingly.
Favourite
Color: Lavender is his absolute favorite color! But he really really likes pastels. He will not admit to this (they're too feminine and he doesn't want to be judged).
Hair color: Black hair!
Eye color: He doesn't have one!
Song: Lohengrin by Wagner. He likes classical compositions. He's fond of Dvorak also.
Movie: The movie adaptation of The Remains of the Day.
T.V. Show: Nah. He would rather listen to the radio than watch TV. His parents also encouraged him to read rather than watch TV too, but sometimes he would catch Kamen Rider V3 or Himitsu Sentai Gorenger in the 70s.
Food: Home cooked steak, medium rare, with a side salad and roasted potatoes, well-seasoned. He also likes most fish.
Drink: Hojicha! He prefers green teas with hearty flavors, especially if they're kind of toasty or citrusy or tangy. He dislikes sweeter teas.
Book: The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro!

Passed A Levels: Not a thing in Japan. But, they do have entrance exams to universities. Yoshikage carefully planned it so that he would take the generalized entrance exam only, reach a good passing but not phenomenal grade, and then enter a middle grade University.
Passed University: Yes. He pursued s literature degree, something he was both interested in and was easy, didn't apply himself, graduated middle of his class and exactly on time.
Had sex: Do...does it count when you use a severed hand to give yourself a handy? Please send help he needs it.

Been in love: This...is a hard one. Yoshikage's idea of love is all sorts of fucked up. It's possessive and ruinous and demands ownership and less a compromise- because his only basis for love in reality has been watching his parents interact and what they've done to him. He was always treated like a trophy, so that's what love is to him. So he's been in his idea of love with some of the women he kills, but never what real love is. And somewhere, he's aware of that. But real romance is terrifying and vulnerable and what if he kills his partner because he simply can't resist the urge to hurt?
Stayed up for more than 24 hours: He would rather die.

A cuddler: Once awakened to the joys of physical contact with another person you cannot escape. You will be cuddled on the couch reading. You will be cuddled in bed. You will be cuddled while cooking.

Scared easily: Only when watching a horror/thriller movie because he gets way way way too invested in them and then he gets jumpscared. I guess that's more "startles easy" than gets scared. He does have a good deal of paranoia though.
Jealous easily: When Yoshikage finally gets something he wants as badly as to keep a partner, he doesn't give it up easily. But he's also the type to slow down and think logically, so I think he would be able to overcome any kind of feeling threatened and being jealous before of it. So on a gut reaction, yes, but he'll always think better of it. So uh, yes and no?
Trustworthy: Depends on what it is and who you are. If Yoshikage is working, he'll be easily dependable. If you're a stranger, he'll probably kill you.

Oh.It seems that he had forgotten something inside the envelope.Yoshikage had just been too focused on the letterinside, he must have not noticed. It appeared to just be a few moreslips of paper – more notes? Drafts? No. They were square.Photographs, then?
HadDio done something liketake pictures for Yoshikage of the places he had been? That seemeddistinctly...not quite Dio-like, but then again, he was constantlybeing surprised by the man. Wheneverhe thought there was a gesture that was below Dio, he would do itanyways. Such was the nature of a spontaneous man, the likes of whichhe had never met.
Yoshikageremoved the first picture. Of Dio, bare chested, lounging in his bed,draped in red sheets. His expression was coy, and only two thingscame to mind. First, who the hell did he get to take this picture?Second, was this some kind of joke?
Thenhe removed a second picture. A balcony, well lit by the full moon. Anoverlook of a well-lit city...and Dio, completely nude, lounging bythe railing with a glass of something in his hand. Probably blood.That was certainly...provocative.

Yoshikagecarefully stacked the pile of pictures back up and tucked them awayinside his desk. It was rudetothrow away a gift after all.
Kars gently peeps out of the curtains waiting for Kira to come home; On the table is a freshly baked sponge filled with strawberry and lemon curd. A small wrapped gift also sits beside the cake. Eventually he sees him coming home and rushes to the door to greet him. "Happy Birthday lover~" he smiled brightly
Itsnot like it was a crime or anything, for one to work on their ownbirthday. But, for the first time in his life, Yoshikage wantednothing more than to return home. Hehad somebody who was there, waiting for him to come home. Somebody hewanted to spend time with, even on a normal day.
Yoshikagecouldn’t help but smile seeing Kars at the door. He set hisbriefcase to the side, almost carelessly, and leaned up to press akiss to his partner’s lips(goddammit, he was so tall). “Thank you, Kars. Something smellswonderful here. Were you baking?”
Notletting go of his hand (so large, so soft...and he was warm as well,a beautiful blooming warmth that traveled through his body from thathand), Yoshikage walked to the living room, casting his eyes to thetable. “Oh, and a gift box. You’re spoiling me.”
