The other day a letter came in the mail. It was from my godmother. When I was young, I would spend long periods of time at her house while my mother sheltered me from my father's madness. This was around 1986 and the tv show Who's The Boss was huge. Alyssa Milano played Samantha and I was completely convinced that we would one day be married if we could actually meet. I was so infatuated that apparently I drafted a fan letter that was never sent, most likely because it was 1986 and how the hell would I know where to send a letter to a secondary character on a tv show. This letter was recently found tucked away in the back of a drawer in an old dresser, as shown by the yellowing 30 year old paper. If anything is demonstrated by this embarrassing relic of my adolescence it's that I have always and forever been a creep.
