Itโd be a lie if Yufi said she hadnโt seen him around before. Heโs got a distinctive lookโฆ amputee, emotional support dog and all. Thereโs no classes they share together, but on occasion they find themselves in same common circles. Crafting, architecture, art.ย Not to say sheโs been eavesdroppingโฆ but one grows curious and cares to listen when wanting to know who theyโre surrounded by.
Itโd be unfair to say heโs harmlessโ his handicap does not necessarily mean heโs incapable. In fact, she knows little of what he does, what interests him besides the activities they share together. But she assumes, at the least, he means no harm to her, as he holds little interest in doing more than the absolute necessary.
But her curiosity does grow, and the opportunity to speak to him arises when they find themselves situated next to one another, paintingย โ the waves of their internal strife.ย โ Yufi wouldnโt have lookedโฆ that intensely, anywayโฆ if it hadnโt been for the fact that they seemed to be out of brick red. She planned to use it for her sunset on the horizonโฆ he had obviously used it for his own imagery. ย ย ย he had seen her around, but never purposely picked her face out of a crowd until he learned they would be attending the same art sessions. for him, this was nothing more than a means to pass time. a recommended outlet for the fury and pain that clung to him after his discharge. a crutch to assist him on his re-entering of society. what a joke. he'd often look around the room and into the faces of the other students. wondering how many of them believed such a thing... how many of them found that this was working? this is likely the reason he's never completed a piece.
ย ย ย he'd find himself wondering just what kind of people these were, including her. though he never bothered to speak up and ask. nooj wasn't exactly the sociable type. not always anyway. when he found himself seated next to her for the current session, he would catch himself glancing over at her creation. it was said that art comes from one's soul or that one could use it to read what type of person the artist is. an expert could maybe, nooj was just a beginner at best.
ย ย ย the silence between them is finally broken when she makes a comment about his creation. he looks in her direction then back at his canvas but says nothing. he's aware that red, as every color, has its own meaning. though he doesn't think of that when grabbing paint. he's just not that deep of an artist. he also was unaware that he'd used nearly all of the red he took. he chuckles very lightly. both at her question and the fact that he'd actually got lost in this activity for once. โ ๐๐
