The youngest Kavanaugh is sitting cross legged on the sofa, grinning at the brunette with a cigarette between her fingers. Ezra had sensed Jane’s aura the moment she ascended the concrete steps outside of the townhouse. She wasn’t expecting it. Wasn’t expecting the sniper’s shot that had gone through her stomach and left her bleeding out on the ground. A few small short breaths left her, as she laid unmoving, staring at the dirty street before her.
She reached out and activated the tracking device in her wrist, and opened her communications channel, breathing deeply before coughing harshly a few time. Any ally of hers would be able to hear her and find her.

She knows she’s being harsh, but she’s seen enough death in her life to know the truth. That even when it hurts you have to keep moving, it was the only way to move along in life.
