"Please, Pallas, if you can hear me..."
"When I took him to the other side, he wanted me to tell you something, Krios."
She wasn’t too sure what to say to that. Instead, she smiled at him for a moment, knowing if she said something she’d only end up stammering.
"What do you know about dancing?"
"Only what I know of from humans."
99 bottles of wine on the wall...
"99 bottles of wiiiiiiiiinnneee…"
"Lachesis..."
"Put the bottle of wine down."
"Good, you already look nice in what you’re wearing and I’m afraid my skirts just won’t match up."
"I’m good. How long did you plan on staying? I know your not a fan of parties."
"As long as you want me to stay..."
"I could run out and get you one too if you just asked."
"No, I think I'm fine with what I have right now, but thank you for offering.
"How are you? Are you alright?"
This feels wrong
"I feel that war is on it’s way soon enough, whether we want it or not." She could see the concern in his eyes, and didn’t envy what he would have to do. Getting the Olympians and Titans together, and expecting tempers not to flare, was a joke. Shaking her head, she tried not to think about how uncomfortable it all made her feel. "I am never truly alone, Thane. You’re looking out for me."
"Yes, I am." He sighed then, glancing around for their other brother, Charon. "Just make sure that you stay close to Charon and I, yes?"
"I’m mostly waiting for Hermes to come in with the skirt I let him borrow."
"Though I won’t be mad if he’s forgotten."
"Hermes in a skirt?"
This feels wrong
Out of all of the voices in the room, she was surprised that her brother was counted among them. “Thane,” she said, looking at him with a brow raised. “Avoid the Olympians? We shouldn’t have to be doing this in the first place.” She knew he meant well, of course. And she was still trying to get over the shock of seeing him. “I did not expect to see you here. I thought you hated these kind of things.”
"I know," he said quietly. "But it's either this, or the start of a war, and at the moment I am not looking forward to taking away any family members over something so petty." A part of him could understand why Cronus threw this, because it was a way to stall the inevitable while he pondered his options. But more than likely, the Olympians were impatient while arrogant, and one boast could break the subtle peace they had going. "I didn't want you to be alone."
Perses was finding the whole thing dull. You would expect some form of conflict to brake out when there were this many people who hated each other in one room, consuming a large amount of alcohol, but sadly that was not the case. The Olympian God’s kept to their cups seemingly joyfully unaware of the constant stare from the Titans. Perses licked his lips, he could practically taste the tension and hatred in the room, if nothing happened soon to lighten up the even, he would be forced to make it happen.
"Staring at them will not make them go away, you know."
This feels wrong
Yep, this is awkward…and uncomfortable, and I don’t want to be here. Nemesis had just arrived, and she didn’t know what was stopping her from turning around and making a quick, unseen exit. It wasn’t hard to see that others probably felt as she did, though they seemed to hide it well enough for the occasion. She couldn’t understand what half of the guests had to laugh and smile about. It was likely an act, and Nem didn’t know how long she could stand it. This whole thing was an act. She sighed, realizing there was no point in fighting it. Her eyes scanned the room again briefly before she found what looked to be the quietest part of the room. The bottom of her white gown barely dusted the floor as she moved hastily over to take a seat, only hoping that this would be over and done with soon.
Even if he Olympians he was fond of, Thanatos had to admit that the Titans were closer to him as a family. He grew up around all of them, lived with them longer. Even if he preferred to stay out of it, he hated that Iapetus was locked up in the Underworld, even if he had some help in the matter. He just believed that Hades would make a better King than a man who could barely look his sons in the eye. "Nem," he called then, following after her. He hadn't planned on coming, but his sister was here. "Try to avoid... The Olympians, if possible."
"Well,"
"Sure…that’s it," she replied, clearing her throat and looking away.
"Aisa. We got into a heated discussion earlier. But I will handle it, Thane."
He raised a brow. "Is that not it?"
"Are you sure it had nothing to do with you and your temper? She can be a lot to handle, I know."
"Well,"
"I guess my mind has been elsewhere these days."
"It’s possible that I may have made an enemy of someone recently."
"Oh? Still thinking on our parents?"
"Is that so? Anyone I know?"
"I understand… Oh, and tell me if you decide to go."
"Maybe I'll go... Just for a little while, to make sure you aren't as bored as you think it'll be."
"The festival will be all the more boring then."
"Though I am positive there will be more people there than just me who will welcome you."
"Unfortunately, I doubt my siblings will be going to this, but if they do, I will as well. I don't want them getting into trouble."
"Well,"
"They would have already been dealt with if I knew that."
"And when I do find out, it will not be pleasant.”
"How did they escape your notice? They must not have been mortal."
"I planned to."
"Are you going?"
"I do not attend those things. I'm... busy with the souls. And I'm not welcomed there."
