I might be moving this character to my multimuse
Not that I’m really on either lately, but still.
She felt slightly uneasy when she felt eyes on her, turning around to return the gaze. "Just... Who are you?" Gripping her kamas more tightly, she tilted her head slightly, inspecting the spectral form of the dark.. wolf? Was it really a wolf? "You two look like the legend of Death my mother used to tell me about." //Hey there~
“What about her, lamb? Does she bear our mark?!” The wolf drew closer to Akali, only to be halted by Lambs gentle touch as she pushed him back behind herself.
“Not yet, dear wolf… Patience. She soon will… All do.” Her voice prompted an annoyed growl from the wolf, who left his place behind Lamb to circle around the two.
“Is that all you thought we were, assassin? A mere legend?!” That thunderous voice laughed, only to silence quickly to allow lamb the right to be heard instead.
“Legends do not form without some basis. Even fiction comes with some base. Be it whimsy…”
“… or fear!”
For some reason, Akali had to surpress a chuckle at their interactions. It was somewhat cute to see them act so loving around each other.
“That’s true..” She sighed softly and opened her pouch and reached in to pull out an orange, slowly peeling it. “May I ask.. Was my mother alone when she died or.. Was she welcomed by my father?” At least she hoped it was true that once a person dies, they would be welcomed by lovers or family members waiting for them.
With a firm gaze, the ninja watched both of them for a moment. She was sure, it was best to change the topic as she feared she might offend either lamb or wolf - where the latter was more likely as wolf seemed more aggressive than lamb. Well.. He did catch the people unaccepting of death after all.
“You ask too much!” Wolf snapped with a growl, even with Lamb stroking his smokey fur.
“You have a point, dear wolf... I am sorry, Akali, but I’m afraid death’s secrets are best revealed upon welcoming it.”
“You already have witnessed more than most would prior to their slaughter.”
“We can, however, assure you... Your mother went peacefully.”
Sorry I haven’t done much today
It’s been a busy day, on top of playing with a new game

Akali smiled softly at Kindred’s antics. They were right, her mother truly was a survivor. She alwas told her she survived just for her.
“I have to admit… I’m not certain, yet If I will embrace your comfort lamb or if I’ll let myself be torn apart by Wolf’s teeth.” She frowned slightly upon her own insecurity. It sounded great to just let herself fall into lamb’s embrace or if she would fight with the wolf. It really depens on the situation of her death - if she still has a promise to fulfil.
Akali chuckled slightly. It took her a little while to adjust to the swing between the calm and terrifying atmosphere each part of Kindred brought. “I have to apologize, lamb. I just never knew I’d see you while my time hasn’t come, yet. To truly see you manifest in front of my eyes. I always thought everything would just turn black once I died… I mean.. it’s the same when you pass out or fall asleep.” She felt uncharacteristicly talkactive today, but for some reason, it felt right to do so. “There is a saying that falling asleep is just the body preparing you for death.”
“Such is my embrace... Taking those as they sleep, not having the choice to embrace me...”
“--or run from me.” Wolf interjects with a growl - prompting lamb to reach out and rub his snout soothingly. He immediately conceded, welcoming that petting with a murr.
“None are truly certain until we come. However, do not think that excuse to be so indecisive when the time does come...”

A Meeting With Death ||Closed starter for deathintwain
“Greetings…Kindred.” Varus stated calmly. Many would be shocked by the sight of Death incarnate standing before them, but not Varus. He knew that he would someday come across the two, to feel the glowing arrows of the Lamb pierce his body. Yet he did not think it would come so soon. He still had his own hunt to finish.
“I cared not for who faced the arrow or teeth. So long as they did fall in the end was all that mattered to me. All that matters to me still. I still have one left to hunt down…yet I can not claim my rightful kill. Tell me this, has my time come already? Is it time for the last of the Watchers to fall?” Varus asked, tilting his head to the side. He already knew that he was on borrowed time…but to think that it was already over saddened him. His work was not done, not yet.
At this, the wolf laughed uproariously - always a fan of such savagery and dedication to the hunt.
“Little lamb, I dare think the archer-thing before us wishes to earn my approval...” He growled with a chuckle, one that Lamb also followed suit with her own.
“By your tone, I dare say he has it...” At this, Wolf growled in approval, staying behind Lamb as she stepped forward still. “Tell me, dear wolf... Does he smell of our mark?”
“He does not, little lamb... As he says, he must hunt one more!”
“A play we both can enjoy.”
The wolf laughed and dug out another skeleton to chew upon as lamb’s focus returned to the man at hand...
“Your time is not now, no. We honor you with time enough for one final hunt...” She spoke softly, but her voice still carried enough weight to overpower the crunching of bone behind her. It was the sound of such harmony that enveloped Varus, as if wrapping a warm blanket, light as air, around his form.
“But we do come to tell you that your time will end with that hunt. Victorious or defeated, we will come to see you but once more... And you will finally depart, by arrow or teeth.”
“Do not disappoint us...” Wolf growled, crushing a ribcage in his maw.
Character shaming - Went to shoot the apple of Wolf's head, shot Wolf instead.
She poked at the sign around her neck. While it could not be seen through her mask, one could likely just tell that she was pouting, even as the wolf snickers.
“I told you that you would miss some day.”
“I suppose I trusted myself too much.”
What kind of "charactershaming" sign would you hang around my muse's neck?
A Meeting With Death ||Closed starter for deathintwain
Varus sat apon the broken remains of an old statue, deep within the center of what was once his village. Around him lay hundreds of corpses, skeletons now, that once belonged to Noxian invaders. Each had been slain by his hand and arrow, painting the ground beneath red in what was once an ocean of blood that reached the ankles of the archer.
Varus had not bothered to deal with their corpses properly, unlike those of his former villagers and family. The deceased Ionians had been buried neatly outside the village, a make-shift grave yard of wooden crosses marking their final resting place.
It was the sound of movement that caused the Arrow of Retribution to open his eyes, bow forming in his hand. Something drew nearer to Varus, but what he did not know. @deathintwain
There was the sickening crack of bone that accompanied the soft clopping of light hooves upon the cobblestone street. The grotesque, unmistakable popping of bones underneath unrelenting jaws accompanying a soft, harmonic humming. The air of death that loomed over the retired battlefield, littered with long-rotted corpses, got even thicker. One of two feelings hanging on the air was that of death’s hunger, echoing with each snapping of bone as Wolf chews on a skeleton, and the other was the warm, welcoming lure of Lamb’s melodic voice singing one of her hymns...
“These morsels have no life...” Wolf growled, snapping his jaws shut upon bone with a powerful crack that echoed through the ruined village. “But I smell the scent of another... of flesh and blood! Sweet, sweet blood!”
“I sense a man whose courage and vengeance are the reason we came here so long ago...” Lamb paused in her song to speak. Though both were in clear sight of Varus, neither seemed to regard him. “Many men fell to my arrow, and into my comforting arms...”
“And even more ran when they saw the wondrous play... A work of art, made all the sweeter as I chased them down! Unrelenting!” Wolf cackled with glee, twisting and circling around Lamb before quickly snatching up another skeleton and gobbling it down.
“We have but one to thank for such a play...” While wolf was busy swallowing the old, dusted bones, Lamb turned her gaze to the Ionion - the holes in her mask burning with unseen intent.
“Tell me, famed marksman... What was your favorite part of the play? Was it those who ran towards glory?” Wolf once more twisted around Lamb, opening his jaws slightly to show off his teeth as smoke billowed from his maw.
“Or was it those who ran away from you?! The thrill of giving chase, and slaughtering them like sheep, taking vengeance as your own?!”
“I think she means you...”
“It would be odd otherwise.”
“So forward!”
“A new meaning to ‘embracing death’, to be sure.”
“And you would accept her embrace?”
“Many would.”
“Would she accept yours?”
“Many would not.”
“So you would accept hers!”
“Into death.”
“You avoid the question...”
“It’s fun to evade the wolf.”
Reasons I start shipping things:
Because the characters are in a devoted relationship in canon.
Because the characters have obvious chemistry and /should/ be in a relationship in canon.
Because the characters have absolutely no chemistry and hate each other in canon.
Because someone makes an intelligent argument that compels me to see the ship's validity.
Because someone made a horribly mediocre argument that doesn't show the ships validity at all.
Because the characters would be hot together.
Because fuck you I ship everything for no reason at all.
Smell of Death on the Wind
“…now sheep and wolves are talking…I think I can finally admit I have a drinking problem, BEYOND when I run out.” Yasuo clutched the blade by his side tightly, already feeling the almost sickly warm air around him, the wind warning him of death, but not the cold embrace he was used to. This air of death was…comforting..and terrifying. These creatures gave off a presence of death that mirrored the complications of life itself.
The forest Yasuo had found himself in, yes found and unable to recall how he arrived here, had bright white fog, but not thick enough to be blinding, and the trees bent and twisted in a way that branches felt they would reach out and grab the Ionian, plucking him from the path he walked. The scenery matched the looks of the two in front of him.
The comments of course were not ignored, especially the way the beings talked about him, but not directly to him. The talk of death, his past, and their choice of pronouns led Yasuo to an easy conclusion to anyone familiar with the Ionian spirituality. “Your not human…but you respect the lives of them…you something akin to a spirit of death, maybe what the Demacians and Noxian would call a Grim Reaper. Just my luck to have to look at you.”
@deathintwain
The wolf burst into a roaring laughter with a thunderous voice that made the birds in the trees scatter into the skies above, if only heard by the lot. He let out a growl through teeth clenched in a wicked, forever-hungry grin.
“Foolish mortal... You think us a mere spirit of death?! I AM the blackness that engulfs your vision, swallowing up your unwilling soul in your final moments!” He roared, twisting and weaving himself around the swordsman as lamb also stepped forward.
“I am the warming light that embraces your body, sheparding your soul to pastures new.”
“We ARE death’s cold grasp!”
“And its calming relief.”
Wolf bounded across the distance between Yasuo and Lamb, circling around its counterpart with a cackle before hovering over her - seeming all the more imposing when he looks down on Yasuo...
“And when we do come for you, swordsman-thing... Which will you take? Will you run from my hungry jaws?!”
“Or will you embrace my swift arrow?”
Akali’s breath slowed when the wolf came closer to her, but her gaze didn not waver. “So it is true..” It was somehow terrifying to be so close to Death itself, but at the same time, it was exciting.
As wolf already said.. She was an assasin and therefore always close to death - to some she even represented death. “You are right, lamb - if I may call you that. My mother told me you often visited her when she used to be the Fist of Shadow, but always let her go.” A melachonic smile slipped on her lips when she thought about her mother.
It still unsettled her to hear the lamb speak so calmly about her upcoming death. She knows it will eventually happen, but hearing about it is a different thing.
“The Kinkou doesn’t speak about your legend out of fear. As you already said yourself, many of us are assassins and are familiar with death. But I never believed I would meet you.”
“You may. It would be one of my many names.” Despite Lamb’s calm voice, the wolf groaned in disdain for the memory of Akali’s mother. A groan that had Lamb giggle lightly...
“Your mother-thing was always a thorn in my side! Always escaping my jaws...”
“Always sidestepping my arrows... It was almost unfortunate when she could not escape the last. She died with honor, though... embracing me when I finally took her. Beautiful, to the end...”
“Boring!” Wolf growled, once more drawing close to Akali with a lick of his lips and a crooked grin. “Would you be like it?”
“I think we both know that answer, dear wolf... In the end, she’ll welcome me. I would be disappointed otherwise...” The wolf growled in frustration, backing up once more behind his softer antithesis.
“Though, you do disappoint me in thinking you’d never meet us, Akali. All things do, eventually.”
“Feel lucky that is not today...”

Snowdown~
Wisps of hair billowed in the wind as the cold air nipped at Ahri’s skin. The winter season had set in with snowstorms rolling in. Breathing out a sigh of relief and excitement, Ahri watched her breath form clouds of steam with each exhale. Smiling as snowflakes lightly fluttered down around her, coating her hair and ears in a light layer of snow. It excited her to see all these changes to her surroundings. The days were shorter and the nights were longer. The trees were now being dressed in freshly fallen snow instead of leaves. The lakes were freezing over, prepping themselves for the children to come ice skate. Seeing it all begin to unfold in front of her very eyes just thrilled Ahri from head to toe. It didn’t matter if her legs were shaking from Jack Frost’s nips or if her nose was turning bright red from being in cold too long. Ahri had never felt so alive standing there soaking everything in around her. The sweet serenity of the snow as it slowly, but surely painted a beautiful crisp white landscape free of any blemishes or faults. This was truly the time of the year where Ahri felt at peace with not only herself, but with the rest of the world. For as sad as she looked standing atop the hill, the snow falling ever so gracefully around her elegant body. She was far from sad.
“You’ll catch a cold...”
The voice came behind Ahri, soft and calm... Almost feeble, were it not for the ethereal echoing about it. Perhaps by itself, not immediately recognizable, but it was soon coupled by one that was, most certainly, telling.
“Why bother, little lamb? Let the cold take her... devour her...” Even as he said that, the tone with which he did was low. He even hovered behind Lamb, as her intent here was already clear - and he was bound to be pulled away if he was too forward.
“All beings will meet us, wolf... There lies no sense in quickening the inevitable.”
“Or delaying it...”
“The cold does not bother you, fox?”
Living Beyond Death
The celestial being stood there, watching the wolf rather curiously as it circled him. Bard of course knew them, but he had been even before death itself had manifested in these two. Some of his meeps, his constant companions seemed to be scared by the wolf, while others seemed to welcome the lamb with a soft whisper.
Without fear Bard reached out to pat the wolf’s head, a deep, calming tune being emitted from him.
Wolf was seemingly frozen by this sudden action. Very few had the audacity, let alone the permission, to pat him, but perhaps it was that soothing sound that kept him from lashing out. Still, though... it did not fully soothe his annoyance, even if he didn’t pull away. All this just made Lamb giggle, perhaps an odd sound, considering her usually mellow disposition.
“The wind chime dares to touch me...” He growls...
“And you do not bite the hand which does?” Lamb’s voice held hints of a teasing tone, one that further seems to aggravate the wolf.
“And you would allow it? You take amusement from this!”
“As I do many things, comedic boldness being one.”
