Someone like Watari or Roger could have easily given Near a detailed description of L, and he could have made them based off of that. It seems like something Near would have enough skill to do.

Which ofcourse is ridiculous because if he never met/knew L how did he know what he looked like to create that mask and that puppet? Something's quite wrong there.
