Your welcome package contains A book titled, “How To Be a Listener”, a voice recorder, and a ‘Bill the Builder” plastic wrench.
He’s too busy trying to dismantle the voice recorder with the plastic wrench to even pay attention to the book.
Shizuka looked over, wide-eyed as the other spoke. Even though he seemed to be speaking to himself, it was obvious that he intended for her t hear him. Why speak otherwise?
"Of….of course I blame myself! I passed judgement on him! I let him be executed for trying to save the one he loved! I played this game and I don’t get to leave!" was the string of babble that fell from her lips. Poor Shizuka, traumatized as she was, was past making any sense.
She shivered at his words. He was intrigued by her anguish….creepy…yet, she couldn’t really bring herself to care right now. Which probably resulted in her saying the first things that came into her head.
"So…why do you find my suffering intriguing? Am I the first to react like this?"
Although he was just in the middle of a great rant, his stream of words was interrupted mercilessly by the girl who seemingly had decided to interfere with his banter. Maybe he would have been angry if he had been in a bad mood, but right at this very moment Graham was oddly enjoyed. His moods mostly came and went on a whim, and carried little to no logic outside the one he lived by.
"It's kill or be killed," he mentioned, for once actually having a point. "Do or die. Taking a tale of the everyday life and spinning it into a tragic yarn, such insolence-...!" A fist was clenched around a screwdriver in one of the many pockets of the blue coverall and Graham began taking his dismay out on the so called 'monomessenger', dismantling it right on the very spot. How many times had it not been taken apart so far? He wanted to break the girl, but the way she interested him made him hold back - for now. He could always do that later if he became bored.
"And yet right before my very eyes, this insolence is being put into words, making me feel guilty. Damn it. Am I a fiend for standing victorious over a girl in emotional distress?! Such a sad, sad story this has turned into!" Graham honestly didn't care much for the girl's personal feelings and her own guilt at the situation, and his own complaints were made in an eerily light-hearted manner making it seem like he wasn't truly serious. But Graham Specter was always serious, even when making the craziest presumptions and the most ludicrous plans.
The girl however had raised a very reasonable point. Graham had to think for a moment before responding with an indifferent shrug and a smirk. "Nope. I just wanted to use the word 'intriguing'."
"I just want this to end, I want it stop. I can’t…..I let him die. I helped pass the sentence! I deserve to die….I don’t want to do this anymore.."
"Let me tell you a... peculiar story," the blonde man began musing to himself, but obviously intending to be heard. "In this school of life and death, destruction and distrust, still one young girl is blaming herself for what's only the natural cause of things. And here am I, completely unfazed at this sight. What does that make me? A person who can still laugh in the face of a crying girl. Completely adapted to the strangest situation. Is this a happy story? Or is it a sad story? I can't even tell anymore! But I am not yet feeling distress at this uncertainty - no, no, no, no, no. Not at all! This is not distress; I am highly intrigued!"
‘Let me tell you a sad, sad story…’ ‘What is it, boss Graham? The sky fall on you or something?’ ‘The sky? Fall to the ground…? That is a rather interesting notion. What remains over our heads should the sky fall upon us? What does it mean for the sky to be empty? In fact, where does the sky end? Perhaps outer space, the moon, Mars, and the sun will fall upon us… Then does this mean that the Earth is the centre of gravity, and those medieval theories we once thought to be nothing but baseless conjecture were absolutely correct?’ ‘I was just joking, boss.’ ‘Wait. Come to think of it, I had a thought once, when my outraged sister pushed me out the fourth storey window. I thought, “Oh, the ground is falling from the sky", but in reality, I was the one who was actually falling… In other words, our perception of the sky falling is a mistake—which must surely mean that we’re the ones falling towards the heavens! What a magnificent discovery! But wait! They say that the earth is round. If that is true, and we are rising towards the sky along with the ground under our feet, what happens to the people on the other side of the planet? If they go up to the sky like everyone else, that must mean the earth is expanding. Which means that even this warehouse will expand!’ ‘Um. Boss? Boss?’ ‘If there’s more space, I have more room to put stuff in: therefore, it is a beneficial occurrence. In other words, the fact that the sky is falling is a happy story! …How sad… Oh, let me tell you a sad story! How tragic! The sky is not falling!’ ‘This guy’s impossible.’ ‘All right, men. Let’s say goodbye to this sadness by going out to meet boss Ladd early!’

I hope we’ll see Graham’s sister sometime.

i think this sums up Graham and his crew pretty well
Graham Specter Vs. Rail - Alice in Jails (Street Episode) -1934.
It had all started on a whim. Feeling a desperate need to take apart something - anything - the young mechanic had started prowling through the hallways of the school. Had he stumbled across a person at that very moment, he would not for a moment hesitate to take his despair out on them and break them as much as physically possible. For know though, only a trail of chaos was left in his wake. All for his own satisfaction.
If one were to look inside the classrooms, one would find every single chair, every single table taken apart to the smallest board and screw. A few rooms later the mechanic himself could be found humming gleefully as he worked his tools, swiftly, skilfully, dismantling everything and anything that could be dismantled, only to move on to the next room and repeat the process. He broke everything within his line of sight - but he did not destroy. There was a fine, fine line between breaking and destroying, and Graham Specter was a not a man who took pleasure in destroying. Especially not when something he was going to break had been destroyed by the hands of someone else.
Graham, huh. If you had to sum him up in a sentence, I guess you’d say he’s funny in the head. There’s nothing in that brain of his but the thought of taking things apart. Most kids his age are always thinking of girls—preferably naked—but Graham’s head is filled day and night, twenty-four seven, probably until the day he dies, with the thought of breaking things. Just like how it is with me and killing people. Speaking of which, he’s a bit different from me. He doesn’t like killing people. I think he said something about lives having no form to take apart, so he couldn’t feel it in his heart. Something about no pleasure, only guilt. What a dumbass, eh? The kid’s so obsessed with taking things apart—it doesn’t matter what it is; human or machine, it’s all the same to him—that he can’t feel the weight of a life. He can’t feel that heat. Not like I can. I can feel the heat and the weight and the dignity of a human life just fine. I acknowledge it. I understand it. That’s what makes it so great to ignore it all and stamp it out by killing someone. Strange, isn’t it? A little funny, even. In a way, Graham’s moral compass is just as busted as mine, but I’m telling you, he won’t kill. You know, some of the Russos used to make fun of him for that, back in the day. Can you believe it? What kind of idiot believes that courage is defined by being able to kill people or not? I guess they learned their lesson, though, since Graham took his wrench and dismantled all their joints, one by one. You should’ve seen the look on his face. It looked like… yeah, I think you could’ve called that expression on his face ‘rapture.’ Then I overheard those goons whispering something about ambushing him to get their revenge, so I took the liberty of just killing them all. Haha!

Try to take me apart you bastard come on I’ll tear you to shreds.
"Oh? To think the grand master himself has paid me the honour of a visit, this is most thrilling! You won't just be a good bear and sit still while I dismantle you? I was gonna say that it'll hurt, but it won't because, well, you're not even alive. So I don't have to feel guilty. Isn't that just perfect?"

"Our headmaster is a mechanical bear?" It was a most peculiar sight for anyone, even the craziest of people. "Hah... haha... hahaha! HAHAHAHAHA!" The blonde mechanic fell to the floor clutching his stomach in fits of laughter. It took a while before he was finally able to speak again.
"Let me tell you a happy story. Yes, an enjoyable yarn full of excitement. This place keeps exceeding my expectations! Am I going mad or is this place for real?! No - I am already mad. So this place must be for real. This is the best! This is such an enjoyable tale! Damn, I want to take apart that bear, but that would make me a rule breaker. But I am already a rule breaker. So why not perfect this most exciting tale with a grand finale?!"

So Gareki had me start watching Karneval, so I just finished episode 1, so I am very very confused but very very intrigued at the same time. So I am absolutely procrastinating and not being productive at all like I should be.

I… I think you’re creepy for saying all these things with a straight face. And to be honest, I’m scared of you. I don’t want to say this, but I’m scared that if someone like you is really immortal, you’ll end up destroying the world someday.
