"To be fair, you looked so caught up in your own thoughts you probably wouldn't have heard an earthquake. ----Hmm. Depends... can you take back what you just said and make me completely forget you just admitted it being something else? What's up? Is this Van-Der-Woodsen related? Because I mean, if it is, if you ask me you're way better off cutting ties."
"—That's my dress! Well, I mean, not my dress, from my closet - okay well maybe it kind of is, in its earlier stages anyway but - it's my design.”
She can't help but point it out with a wide smile, as another girl strolls past them in one of her creations. Jenny never really got tired of the buzz it left in her; she'd tell people time and time again. Even when, like now, she was pretty sure they didn't care.
"--Are you practising expressions for an acting career in those really sad lifetime movies, or is there something I should know? Because I'm gonna hope it's the first one."
Damon had been waiting since forever to ask his best friend out for prom. Something kept holding him back every time the subject came up, sometimes his fear of rejection, sometimes he didn’t even know if he wanted to go - he was honestly scared of the idea. Just when he was about to tell her, to finally ask her to go with him - the rug was pulled from under his feet. Damon just stared at Nate, his blue eyes narrowed towards him as Damon just hoped he’d go over to hospital and never leave, that was how bad he felt with himself for waiting for the perfect time.
As if it wasn’t bad enough that he’d lost his chance, he had to watch the whole scene. As soon as he left, Damon couldn’t help but look back at her. He wanted to be happy for her, but he just truly wasn’t. When she approached him and began to replay that scene he’d been forced to see happen with someone else rather than him, Damon just came up with an excuse. “I left something inside the classroom, see you around.” Not even waiting for her to say anything, Damon just brushed past her heading to the classroom Nate had his lesson in.
"Damn you Archibald." He walked along the classroom trying to find the male’s spot, and as soon as he got a hold of it, Damon made sure to knock everything that belonged to him down and rip a few pages off the books. Nate wasn’t good for Jenny, he was 100% sure of that - he wasn’t exactly the best person ever to judge someone else, but in his mind Nate would always be worse, and he’d find a way to prove that. The only way possible would be to go to prom and make sure that his eyes were completely glued on the two.
"--Oh. But, I thought we were going to- Damon?" But as she spoke, Damon slipped away from her, hurrying along before she had more of a chance to object. Jenny huffed softly, running her hand over her hair and the touch ending up at her neck, not being able to help but frown deeply as he walked away; her brows furrowing as the tall girl just silently stared on. Her lips parted, brows furrowing in confusion as she noticed a few people turn to look at her... but, she wasn't at fault here. Was she? So she didn't have to feel embarrassed. Only, she realized she did, as with a quick, shamed glance down she felt her cheeks heat up red under the light blush she'd applied this morning. Jenny's phone came swiftly out of her bag then, the leggy blonde's movements quick as she hurried away from where the scene had just taken place. Fair enough, neither of them had tried to make a scene - but he'd shot away fast enough to cause said few people to turn their heads. And so hurriedly she typed away at her touch-screen keyboard, stepping out of the school building and into the grounds - granted, knowing he'd gone further into the school rather than out of it, but being fully aware he couldn't get home without passing the gates. As far as she was concerned she had no 'valuable' lessons that afternoon... and it was sunny, so she'd just wait there for him as long as she needed to. And he hadn't seemed upset, as such, but maybe he was and it was just a tiny thing - that he hadn't gotten a date yet, or whatever. That surprised her, to be quite honest; he was easily one of the most attractive males in their whole school, and he knew that. Or at least, she figured he did. But, hey, attractive people were usually intimidating. So, who really knew. Or, maybe he'd actually just forgotten a book, like he'd said. She wasn't going to allow herself to dwell on it for too long, so instead she just focused on her typing. 'I could've come with you to get your book y'know. Out at the gates, kids were staring since I think with how fast you ran out you made a burn trail. Come get milkshakes with me while we blow off English? :) x'
I only owe like one reply here right now so if any of y'all want a starter to give me things to do then this is like the perfectest time for it in the history of ever.

So if this is some kind of social call, can it wait? Until, I don't know, I'm back in Hudson and you can only talk to me through the phone?"

Does anybody hear that? That would be the sweet, sweet sound of my Jenny Humphrey crawling up from the ashes of a very abrupt hiatus. So, basically. I'm revamping this account, most definitely. Finally getting back to all the accounts I abandoned a while back when I was terrified of not having a life and all swept up in real life drama.
So anyway, hai there! I'll definitely continue threads I had before I left or start new things with the people I was roleplaying with so long as any partners I had want to - and if not, then I totally get that. I'm going to try doing some stuff here now, but anyway, I wanna try getting back into Jenny's character. So I guess, like for a starter maybe please maybe?
"You're- you're asking me?" Jenny's blue eyes were wide in surprise, although her tone was laced with scepticism as the attractive male stared down at her with that smile she knew and loved so well playing at his lips. Nate Archibald was asking her, Jenny Humphrey, to prom. Nate. Archibald. "To prom." she finished, words just a tad slow in a way which filled her with a moment of complete dread; that she may have sounded like an idiot. Mess up too much, and he may realize she'd too much of a kid for him and take his affections elsewhere. "I-I mean, yes. Yes, I'd love to go with you. Well, I mean, I'd really like that." Maybe love was a little strong, although fair enough her mind was all over the place and she didn't have much time to think. Although, it didn't seem to matter much to him, as after a laugh, a nod and a 'see you later, Jenny', her date had lightly brushed past her and was on his way.
Jenny's next movement was obvious; a quick glance around and she located her best friend sitting on the hallway window seat between the two flights of stairs to her right which led up to the next door. And with a whoosh of small heels tapping away at the tiled floor and a less than subtle squeal, a widely-grinning Jenny Humphrey stood before him, her eyes bright with excitement. "Did you hear that? You totally heard that. Or, maybe you didn't, but you can probably guess. He did ask me, Nate asked me! And before you argue, I just want to say that I know what I'm doing. He's not as bad as you make him out to be. I know he's not." Her words came out fast, flustered even, but she was pretty sure nothing could wipe the smile off of her face.
