Thank you very much. I would like to ask you where the name Kilhi+ice comes from?
T: The name of our band, “Kilhi+ice,” originally comes from the German name “Kircheis.” The way Kircheis is pronounced is very beautiful to most Japanese people. We are also interested in Catholic churches and religious art, and we have to stay cool like ice.
Could you describe Kilhi+ice's musical genre?
T: That's a very important question for us too, but it's a little difficult to answer. What do you think of our music? Some European fans think our music is a mix of gothic and electronic, while Japanese fans say our music is experimental and romantic.
May I ask if the titles of your songs are related to your band's name, or are the songs related to the name of your album, “Le 7e art”?
T: Le 7e art refers to French movies, as you know. (No, but it's not that deep, she must be confusing it with the French New Wave, as le 7e art refers to cinema, ND MA'J). My inspiration for song lyrics comes when I am inspired by 7e art movies.
Can I ask you how you feel when you sing the songs from the album “Le 7e art”?
T: I sing them in different styles each time, like films that have been made in different ways of expression.
Are there any songs on your albums that you like to sing during a live concert?
T: My favorite song on the first album (Le 7e Art) is Empty Eyes. There's also Keep Cool and Little Mermaid from the second album Keep Cool and Hack Art from the third album Analague Fortune. I like to sing these songs during live performances.
Actually, Le 7e Art is sold out, and Keep Cool will be soon too. We don't have many copies left. I recommend the third album, Analague Fortune, instead!
