History of Bella Elementorum No. 2.

These are original cards made in 2013.

The cards are part of a “set” based upon Adventure Time, but I have lost most of the cards.

The layout has not changed much. In fact, they are closer to the current layout than any others I have made with Photoshop, however, these are full art cards, and as such look different from how original cards appeared.

An extremely old box, made some time in 2012 or 2013.

The only box I ever made was for a “Wind and Fire” starter deck that was composed of 40 cards.

There was an entire deck to go with this, but to my knowledge, all of the cards have been lost or destroyed. Half creatures, half other. Other included 2 card types that have been phased out of the current rules.

The best idea I had of how I was going to sell these to people (yes, cards made from file folders and granola bar boxes) was eBay. Of course, I was 14, and had no real grasp of printing services.

The new XCCG from NeonGames, Bella Elementorum.

After spending nearly four years in development, a new Deck construction game is on the verge of release, and under a new distribution format.

With a visual style and package availability inspired by the old days of Magic: the Gathering, and gameplay that falls between Shadow Era and the Force of Will trading card game, it offers an easy to learn experience with plenty of room for strategy.

The format, called XCCG, is due to its available packages. It is the result of my own indecisiveness and conflicting outside opinions.

An 18 card booster pack, a 50 - 70 card starter pack, and a complete playable set.

This trio of available packages makes it a hybrid of an expandable card game and collectable card game.

With the first set containing 170 cards, and a second soon to follow, it will be available soon on The Game Crafter.

(Please note that the cards in earlier posts are old renders from nearly 4 months ago, and have undergone a lot of changes to their appearance.)

It includes the four basic elements and a gratuitous amount of spells and equipment, totaling 60 cards. Enough to make 2 decks!

So this is a collectible card game i've been working on for nearly 2 years now. Only recently have i decided to do something with it.

So here they are. The few cards i've spent all day making. I plan to sell them as a physical game on thegamecrafters.com. 

I could post a rules and how to play thing later on, if that’d be cool.

Origin of Life in the World of Immortals

The origins of life are better understood by the Eldrow than any other known race due to their innate knowledge of the nature of souls. Here it will be summarized for simplicity.

In the time before time, there was an infinite blackness filled with infinite souls with infinite power. They grew tired of silence and darkness. So they created the great rings of the sky. Massive golden rings to hold up the sun and moon.

Then they created the immortals and imbued them with pieces of their power and spread them to make their ideas real. Thus, the world was born and time began. However, time has still been running forever. And even if you were to travel back forever, you would never find a time before the world existed.

At first it was barren. Ice and rock. Some Immortals took their own ideas and split their souls, spreading the fragments across the world. These pieces shattered and took up residence in the ground. Eventually they would become life, making bodies from nothing.

So far, three races are known. The Eldrow, with the strongest souls, allowing the best use of magic. The Grendrow, or Gren Alfir, with a neutral disposition towards magic and slightly weaker souls than the Eldrow. And Humans, or Mendrow, with weak souls and a negative view of magic.

(Disclaimer, not my image but it suits the text.) The race of Eldrow. An Eldrow can be called by many names. A man may call them Eldro, how they would pronounce the name. Yeldrowe, how the Eldrow pronounce their name. Or one of the names they earned in various mythological forms. Dark Elves and the far Ante form of the word, Dokk Alfar, Svart Alfar, or Myrk Alfar. They exhibit a strong honor system. Warlike tendencies except when obviously outmatched, and above all else, value free will of the people. Thus, the island they call home belongs to none, and the highest leaders are leaders of individual cities. Despite this, when two towns aren't fighting over small tracts of land, they get along and progress development in cooperation with one another. Their immune systems are fairly weak. This is the cause of their lack of territory on the mainland, home of men. There are large plagues and deadly illnesses running rampant. No human with bad intentions has ever set foot on Eldroey however, as they fiercely defend their Territories from humans. Their appearance has little variation due to the small area they inhabit. All have gray skin varying from nearly black to middle gray, monochrome hair ranging from white to black, and are usually slightly taller than humans. Their skin is usually decorated with intricate designs, partly the cause of their bad reputation among near half of the human countries. Usually, this is assumed to be devilry. A sign that evil gods have their favor and another reason why most humans have refused to set foot on the island. Though others seek to cleanse the island of their presence... Their sanitation practices are excellent. Having invented sewer systems and fine cloth years before humans discovered them. Another thing that humans cannot do or refuse to do is Magic. Usually referred to as Art of the Souls, the Eldrow are the only mortal race known to them with an innate ability to control magic. Humans must spend a lifetime strengthening their souls to be able to use it, though few have done so. The final note that will be covered is their spiritual beliefs. The soul of anything not sentient is a resource to harvest. Hunted animals are usually killed for their souls. The soul of an Eldrow is captured in a jewelled pendant to serve as a Guardian for their descendants. The highest crime among Eldrow is to destroy or steal these. Penalty is death without the pendant. If a soul is lost by any means, you lose any will. This usually results in wandering off into the forests and starving or being eaten. This concludes the Eldrow lore page for now. This is for a world I am building and a story I'm writing.

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th planets of the Sol System, as of 2300. Around 2080, the planet mars was terraformed in a combined effort from the most advanced countries. China, The United States, Japan and India were the largest benefactors. Several hundred years later, after two wars between the two planets, Venus was terraformed. Due to its volcanic nature, little in the way of precious metals or fuels was found, as Mars had. It later became a successful agriculture area, nearly its entire surface became enveloped in jungles, due to the carbon rich atmosphere and high heat, plants grew year-round.
