Hello can I rant here? When I first found out about otherkin I just laugh at them from afar but never interact. But I've been scrolling down this blog and now I really wanna punch them because turns out they use other people's art?? As an artist, I know how much effort and passion people put in their art, even fandom stuff. And these kinnies think fanart are free-for-alls that they can just pluck off and repost somewhere else saying "Look it's me!!" Like wtf. That's just being an ass.
Well I wouldn’t incite physical violence for just using someone’s art. If you know of kinnies who are reposting or using art without an artist’s permission, contact the tumblr staff and the artist so they can get it removed pronto!
But yeah I totally understand that feeling. I refuse to post any art online because of that reason. A lot of art is personal to me and I don’t want someone looking at a vent piece I made and going “oh i kin that character”
I used to be pretty active in the fictionkin community on instagram (its shitty) and was always terrified of finding "canonmates". And people who thought someone was their partner in whatever universe and dated them? What if that person is just manipulating you? Its not that hard to fake your age, name, etc on the internet. The thought of some pedo manipulating one of those kids scares me so much. Kinnies who are reading this, don't put your memories out there for people to see. Be safe pls

Not that I know of. You sort of have to let them hurt themselves so they’ll learn by the time they’re in their 20′s. If it’s someone you know and you’re worried abt them, maybe just distance yourself from them and don’t worry abt it anymore. It’s not your issue to deal with.

i’m friends with someone who says he’s ghostkin and he’s actually a super cool person. since i didn’t know i asked him about it and he basically said that he knew it was weird to call it that but he just relates to them on an inhumane level.

i turned paraplegic mid-life and now experience phantom limbs with my legs so it goes without saying i feel like i'm being mocked when these kinnies are cry typing about their phantom limbs lol. as otherkin myself, no memories are supposed to make you feel like you're missing a body part because your body now has never experienced being whatever you were before.

Apparently when I left the kin community the guy I used to talk to a lot decided I was faking leaving, so now he's harassing everyone who's Serena or Calem kin (from Pokemon X&Y). I feel bad he's tracking people down and yelling at them that they're me, but I don't know what to do. I'm never going back to the kin community and he's a paranoid schizophrenic, so if I told him to stop he might double down on it. I just... I was wondering if you had advice for this? It's rough.
Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. People can report him and block him and if he gets out of hand, he can get banned. Don’t worry about others until you can stop worrying about yourself.
Just try to get as far away from him as possible. Don’t even look into the tags and use a blacklist extension to blacklist his URL so you don’t see him at all.
I know about otherkin in general, but what is that system stuff? And system "little"? I have no idea if that means the same as that gross DD/LG kink or not??? Either way I'm autistic and I did similar things that otherkins do a few years ago and it really messed me and my friendships up.
The term “system” is a tumblr term for people with dissociative identity disorder (DID). There’s tons of people on tumblr who say they have DID but do not. Usually people on here relate DID to kintypes. It’s prevalent in less than 1% of the population so unless every person with DID has congregated on tumblr, there’s a lot of lying going on.
Anyways, the term “system little” refers to a “child alter” within a system. It’s not a d/d/l/g term but unfortunately a lot of “system littles” do engage in stuff like that because, again, it’s tumblr and a lot of what people claim is true is actually fake.

There’s a few but they actually treat otherkinity as past life things and usually do not believe in fictionkin stuff. You can usually find them on forums instead of tumblr
