"U-Uhum.. Yyyeeah! Very sure!" He still continued to lie as he breathed.

{He stood there for a moment before gently dragging Elliot to the break area. Once they were there, he set the other on a chair and looked for anymore signs of exhaustion on the worker.}

"C-Cmon Guest, I appreciate the concern, but I'm fine! Really!" He tried to convince the other. Yet knowing his friend, it was gonna be quite difficult to do so.

You have bags under your eyes. You're also seconds away from collapsing like a baby deer when it fails its first steps. This is not the way to success.

Elliot frowns, definitely feeling guilty for lying, but Guest was certainly right. He just wanted to do his best for everyone, even if it meant working through his exaustion.

He looked back up at the soldier, tilting his head at the suggestion of activities. "Huh? Like what??"

Elliot blinks as Guest pulled out a switch. "Oh! Pfft hehe, I didn't know you played switch games! Let alone own a switch."

He did take the game console from him, though he honestly didn't really feel like playing video games all that much right now. Though he did idly fiddle with the joycon sticks.

"Thanks, but uh.. I'm not really sure what I wanna do either."

{He stood there for a moment before walking off and returning some books to the worker. Then he made quite the impulsive decision of bringing more items to Elliot—also known as spoiling him, I guess? To distract him from his thoughts, that's what.}

Although Elliot was certainly impressed by his dedication, he wasn't exactly sure what to do. Of course, that doesn't mean he's ungrateful for Guest's care. He's happy that he's being given this much attention!

Normally, I allow those who I've known a long time ago do to this. {He gestures to his deer features.} Petting me, to be specific. But since we're already on good terms, I'll allow you to do so this time while I read this thesaurus.

{With one last look at the pizza lad, he turns himself around, takes a thesaurus from the book pile, and reads through every word in the book.}

That certainly caught the pizza boy by surprise. He wasn't expecting such a suggestion, though at the same time, he wasn't against it. Infact, he sometimes had the urge to give Guest's deer ears a little scratch or two, but now he has an actual excuse to do so.

"Oh! Well as long as you're okay with that, then sure, hehe!"

Elliot placed his hand atop of Guest's head, starting off by gently petting him and running his fingers through his blue hair.

{He relaxes at the contact. His ears and tail twitch quite subtly time to time.}

Elliot's hands began to move lower, gently scritching at the soldier's deer ears. They were certainly as soft as he imagined they would be. He stayed at this spot for now, continuing to idly pet and caress the soft fluff.

{This made him let out a small content bleat, just enough for the other to hear.}

Genuinely feels nice...hadn't had anyone do this in such a long time.

{He glances at the younger man behind himself every now and with his eyes to check if he was okay.}

Elliot chuckled softly at the soft bleating noise he heard, thinking it was adorable.

"Heheh, really? Not even your wife or daughter?" He asked, tilting his head.

After heading to the military, that is, I've especially missed their presence since then.

{His mind drifts to the thoughts of his best memories with those he cared about throughout his life. His ears and tail slightly droop down at some unfortunate memories before they perk back up to their respective positions as if to forget about the negativity.}
