Sonic sat himself somewhat close to the girl, giving her enough space if she wanted to back off. His eyes kept darting around while the pink on his cheeks refused to leave. The hedgehog flicked at his steamy reflection.

At her question, he brought a knee up to rest his arms and chin on. “I think we could make one happen if we win enough rings at some Casinos. I think Tails would like it too…” Sonic responded honestly, not minding spending more rings. He could always get even more later. “We could go win some together sometime, i-if you want.” 

He wanted to shake his head at how uncool the stuttering was. It didn’t help his heart was pounding noticeably either.

“You mean another date to Casinopolis?” She smiled, liking the idea. Their last time there had been fun. The sewer not so much, but everything else had been great. “I’d love to!”

She grabbed his arm and hugged it, purring happily before pulling back again. “Though I’ll have to bring some spare clothes if you decide to drop us in the sewers again. Unless you want to shower with me~”

She was so calm about the matter. It felt a little surreal in comparison to what he knew. Sonic never really had understood why it was such a big deal. He understood a lot of females would get angry at any male who saw them without clothes–even if it was a rescue. It was even more interesting she wasn’t hitting him like Amy usually would if he accidentally saw something from her low-cut skirt. It wasn’t as though he ever intended to do that.

“I… I guess…” Sonic finally spoke, rubbing at the back of his neck again. “But… uh… if I do anything to make you feel uncomfortable, j-just say so, okay?” If she was sure… he could give it a shot.

She really was confused about why anyone would be embarrassed by a girl being naked. Really, Sonic was naked, why couldn’t she be naked? What made her different?

Still, she resisted the urge to roll her eyes and nodded. “I’ll say so. Though I doubt you’ll do anything to make me uncomfortable.” Alright, that bit did earn and giggle and she swam back a bit, humming at the warmth of the water.

“This really feels nice. Can we have one at the house?”

His emerald eyes found themselves staring at the ceiling, unsure of how to respond. “W-Well… it’s just uh…” How did one explain social norms to someone who seemed to have no idea?

Sonic rubbed at the back of his neck with his free arm in thought. His foot tried taking another step away to escape but ended up slipping. He fell right back in, water taking him into its shallow, hot clutches.

Blaze laughed as Sonic fell into the water, though caught him enough to make sure his head didn’t go under. They didn’t need an excuse for him to leave now, did they? If he drowned, then they’d have to leave.

“Just what? We’re friends, right? And we’re just having fun together. There’s nothing at all wrong with that. So what if we’re not wearing clothes? It’s still us.”

Feeling the feline inch closer, Sonic’s cheeks gain some more color. She couldn’t help turning to face her friend. “Haha… yeah,” a nervous laugh escaped her.

As though the timing was set like a performance, the hedgehog found her body to suddenly return to normal. Sonic made a surprised splash and tiny yip. It was time to leave! “I-I! Blaze I gotta go—!” Red flushed more on his cheeks as he tried to stand up without seeing anything.

Blaze blinked as Sonic changed before her. So the spell was over huh? Whatever had changed the hedgehog’s gender had worn off? She was almost disappointed.

As Sonic tried to leave though she frowned, grabbing his wrist and dragging him right back in. “Why? Because we’re opposite genders now? Why does gender need to stop us from relaxing and enjoying ourselves?”

With a little hesitation, the hedgehog joined her friend, keeping a little distance from how different this whole situation was. Still, the water was nice, and Sonic found her arms to stretch out and rest against the smooth edge of the water and floor. 

“It does. This is the only good kind of water, I guess,” she laughed, trying to get comfy with the awkward changes and avoiding staring at Blaze.

“Well it definitely is too shallow to drown in, yes. So that definitely makes it good.” The cat nodded at her logic. Though she did like the smell of the sea. It was good water too so long as you didn’t go too near it.

Blaze made her way over to Sonic, mimicking her posture. Distance was silly. How was this weird when their parts matched? Even if they didn’t, Blaze wouldn’t mind the closeness.

Finally reassuring herself it would be like hanging with Knuckles or Tails, the hedgehog took off her clothes, feeling freer again. They were nice for a temporary thing, but everyday? Forget it.

Still bearing rosy cheeks, she covered her new breasts finding her downstairs wasn’t terribly different from before. There was nothing visible as far as she could tell. Stepping out to the well-covered outdoors area, she spotted Blaze and shyly waved. “Uh, hey.”

Blaze happily made her way over to Sonic, grabbing her hand and tugging her to the water. The fact they were both devoid of clothes didn’t phase the feline at all. Why be embarrassed of what was natural?

She made her way into the water, purring at how good it felt. Yes, this had been a very good idea. “Come on, the water feels great!”

Her enthusiasm got her an unsure smile. “A-Alright then,” Sonic rubbed at the back of her neck as they paid and entered the hot springs changing room. The warmth welcomed them kindly.

There, she easily took her shoes off and put the things they bought into a locker, only to pause at her outfit. Was it really okay? Blaze seemed all for it. However, realizing her eyes would see her friend without clothes made a shade of pink creep onto her cheeks.

Blaze felt no shame in taking off her clothes, carefully folding them and placing them in the locker meant for them. She was a bit excited, though for some reason her mind wandered to having a fish tail or becoming a dolphin once she hit the water.

Well that was rather silly of her.

She walked out towards the water, dipping a foot in curiously. The temperature was perfect. Should she wait before getting in?

Sonic blinked, rubbing under her nose. “Well… since I’m a girl now, I guess we could… But hm…” She looked around, a little uncertain. Too many girls at once might make her seem suspicious. 

Looking more closely, there were private rooms available too. A little extra, but she didn’t mind spending the rings. Casinos easily brought those back. “How about we go for a private one?” Sonic suggested with a nervous laugh. She wasn’t sure if it was really alright since she wasn’t really a girl but was one right now. With a tiny sigh, she rubbed her confused head.

Blaze rolled her eyes at the gender issue. Really, what was the point of genders? They seemed to just cause more confusion than they were worth. She wished Sonic would see that gender didn’t matter.

She blinked. “Private?” That sounded like a date. Like with Casinopolis and Twinkle Park. Still, those had been fun. Why shouldn’t this one. The feline smiled and nodded. “Yes! We should! Then we can have it all to ourselves!”
