âWhatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them.â
â Ralph Waldo Emerson (via coral)

Iâd like to believe that every sunrise is for the hopeful ones â for those who constantly go through darkness but choose to always rise again and again, brightening up peopleâs days with their warm smiles. Iâd also like to believe that sunsets are for the brave ones â for those who choose to appreciate the beauty of something even despite knowing the darkness that comes when the magical splendor fades.

In honor of World Poetry Day, here are some of the most beautiful and underrated poems to exist.
Thank you for sharing your innermost feelings with the world so that we can relate and get through lifeâs toughest moments. We can see that the storms clear up in the end, and that in order to hold on, you have to let go. Thank you for your kindness @taylorswift and thank you for your art. You are appreciated everyday, but on a day like this especially.
I love and miss you, T đ

Sometimes you need to love yourself for survival and sometimes when it becomes your only way of survival, thatâs when you learn. You learn when you to drag yourself out of bed. You learn when you look around and realize that youâre the only one there at the end of the day. You learn when you walk through the hallways full of people and realize youâre completely alone. You learn when you canât escape the same room as the one who broke your heart and left you as a hallow shell as they step on and over you. You learn when your heart gets thrown on the ground by one and kicked by another. You learn when you donât have someone to look into your soul and appreciate everything you are so you have to do it yourself. You learn to become your own best friend and do what makes you happy no matter who has something against it. You learn to put yourself first and respect yourself even if you dont like yourself all the time. Sometimes it takes someone to push you over the edge.

Most people, including ourselves, live in a world of relative ignorance. We are even comfortable with that ignorance, because it is all we know. When we first start facing truth, the process may be frightening, and many people run back to their old lives. But if you continue to seek truth, you will eventually be able to handle it better. In fact, you want more! Itâs true that many people around you now may think you are weird or even a danger to society, but you donât care. Once youâve tasted the truth, you wonât ever want to go back to being ignorant.

I have come to believe over and over again that what is most important to me must be spoken, made verbal and shared, even at the risk of having it bruised or misunderstood.

Donât be so hard on yourself. Itâs okay to rest :))
