Located on a rustic farm on Long Island Sound, we grow strawberries that are guaranteed to be organic, fresh, and delicious. Our doors first opened in the 1930’s—yes, we’ve been trusted strawberry farmers for nearly a century. We also run a Young Fruit Farmers Initiative (YFFI) out of our in-person location which provides young people with a free agricultural education. Your order will help support them!

Our staff
Thanks to the efforts of Mitch O’Connell, Nick Garcia, and Hunter Cassaro, this blog is able to run smoothly. More detailed bios here!
About Mitch (she/her)
Hiya, I’m Madeleine O’Connell, but everybody calls me Mitch or Maddie, mostly Mitch. I’m a member of the Young Fruit Farmers Initiative working under the Demeter Team, and you could say I’ve got a green thumb. In my free time, I *adore* acting. Come see me in Twelfth Night!
About Nick (he/him)
Hey there. My name’s Nick. And no, I’m not a member of the YFFI, nor do I know much about Greek mythology. That’s a creepily frequent question… Eh, whatever. I’m a social media intern here, and a competitive swimmer when I’m off-duty.
About Hunter (he/him)
Yeah, screw this. I don’t want to be here.
Uh, pardon Hunter. He’s got trust issues, but he’s with YFFI, working under the Ares team. Up until recently he worked for… a rival company, that’s why he’s always angry.
Blog Stuff
Mitch will use the sign off #mitch with the reins 🌻, Nick will use the sign off #swimmer dude talking 🤿, and Hunter will use the sign off #i don’t want to be here ⚔️. Delphi Strawberry Services collectively will use the sign off #🍓 delphi strawberries 🍓.

Lore and stuff will be tagged as #🍓 dss files 🍓
Thanks for reading!

An unfamiliar girl, freshly teenaged from the looks of her, is perched above Nico, her pink hair falling in braids over her shoulders and almost onto Nico. She's close to him, hunched over, like she's hiding.
"Shhhhh! Shut up," she whispers hurriedly. "Monsters-- j-just be quiet!"
They're in a bush, for some reason, shrubbery. "Hunter, do something!" the girl hisses urgently at another boy, similarly in the shrubbery, and she seems petrified. The boy, college-aged and eyepatched, looks slightly less scared, and honestly, a little crazy. He's staring out of the bush, and that's when it happens-- a roar tears through the foliage.
"... Hi? What's happening?", Nico blinked twice, his vision blurry. He tried to sit, but his body was in pain. He laid in the arena again. "Who are you?", his eyes were closed and his voice was drawling.

I don’t know. Your camp director is the one who decides that, right?
I think so. So theoretically I’m the most qualified to decide if we are.
You’re fourteen. But sure, ‘most qualified’.
Shut up, this is literally your community service. Yeah, he’s kind of a criminal. But as for hiring. Uh. I don’t really know. If you can grow strawberries, that’d be cool? Like if you have A REAL GREEN THUMB. A naturally occurring green thumb. And if you’re able to keep the exact activities of the Young Fruit Farmers’ Initiative under wraps among the uninitiated.

It was well after dark, especially in the woods.. except for the glow of a flashlight, accompanied by a faint whistling noise. Whistling in the woods after dark was pretty widely accepted as a bad idea, but whoever was making the noise didn't seem to mind.
"I know I'm alive," Hunter snapped, "But I've done plenty of things that weren't just for my own survival. Ask anyone. They'll tell you. And all that I've done cannot be worth nothing."
"Alright, alright, it's your choice." They shrugged, holding their hands up in surrender. "I'm just saying that life would be more worth living if you let it."
He barked a laugh. “Well. A pity party isn’t exactly the direction I usually take. I was on a roll for a minute there. Very suave,” Hunter enunciated half-jokingly.
"Hmm. That's unique of you. I appreciate your wish, but..." he sighed. "This is probably the best you'll ever see me." He quirked a smile. "Might even be the last, depending on how petty the gods start feeling."
"Well, I hope they don't decide to smite you so soon." August snorted. "It'd be a shame. But if they do, I'll make sure your name gets put on your headstone."
"Since you so kindly offered to do the same for me." They smirked.
"Oh, well, I'm flattered," Hunter rolled his eyes. "That's Cassaro with two 's's, just so you know. I'd hate for you to get it wrong." He paused. "Hey, who d'ya think would make my shroud? I'm not in a cabin right now, I'm just kind of locked in the big house, and my dad--" his expression flickered. "We don't get along."
"Well, that's a cool last name." They hummed, tilting their head a little. "As far as I know it's usually friends or partners if there's no family to do it."
"Or maybe Chiron as a last resort." They said, before smirking slightly. "If no one else stepped up, I supposed I would have to take over yours."
"You could at least buy me dinner first," Hunter joked dryly. "Although I'd much prefer you over Chiron, though I suppose he has known me the longest. And is technically my legal guardian, in order to have gotten me shipped over here."
"I bet I'd make it prettier than Chiron would." They joked, crossing their arms. "Hopefully you won't be smited any time soon, but I'll at least make sure they spell your name right if so."
"Oh, well, there you go. Charm in life in return for correct spelling in death. I should write a book on how to be flirtatious and idiotically reckless enough to get such an honor."
"Or get killed. One of the two. I'd like to see your book, though: How To Be Unafraid of Death and Flirt With a Stranger in the Woods--gods. Instant classic."
"Well, I was hardly flirting. I am taken after all." They smirked. "But perhaps I'm just that charming. And that's not to say I haven't flirted with a stranger in the woods before, so I could still title a book that."
"I plan on writing a book anyhow, so maybe I could throw in a segment on that."
"Oh, quite charming then," Hunter laughed. "Frankly, taken or not, it's fun to flirt with strangers. Makes you more mysterious. And charming, of course. But then again, my advice is often terrible, so perhaps disregard that."
"I agree, it is enticing." They hummed. "I merely avoid it as to not disrespupset or upset my beloveds. And besides, there's plenty more fun things to do with a stranger in the woods."
