Me and My Undying Love For Music
Music is a basic part of my day-to-day life. It completes me, and is always there with me. I always feel good when music is my company; so good that I can't describe through words. Music is something that could be anywhere...just like me. I listen to it, I produce it through my voice, and play it using the instruments.
I listen to music almost every single time: when I'm in the car, when I'm eating, when I'm about to sleep, when I'm chilling, when I'm on the shower, and all those times when I'm not doing anything. I listen to music in the radio too. Listening to music loses my stress. It eases my mood. Whatever I feel, music can understand it; when I'm depressed, inspired, happy, in love, mad or even bipolar, there's always that certain type of music that is perfect for what I feel.
I produce music through my voice (what?!).. Well to make the statement better, I SING. I love to sing all the time. I started to sing when I was only 2; and for 13 years now, I still continue to do the same. Singing is my way of meditating. I love to share that God-given talent by singing in school, in front of my relatives, on karaoke machines, with my friends, with my family, and even when I'm just alone. No one will ever stop me from doing so.
For me, singing wouldn't be complete if there are no instruments to play with. That is basically the reason why I put extra effort to learn them. It look me a lot of patience, memory, and a widened perspective to at least learn one. Piano is the first and best instrument I ever learned, though it took me 2 months to know how to play it. At present, I still have an open mind to know more of it. The second instrument I learned is the guitar, which took me, surprisingly, just two hours to learn it. It's the most blood-shedding (literally) instrument I ever learned. Haha! I learned how to play the ukelele too, that took me an entire carpool ride from school to home to learn it. 20 minutes, roughly. Thanks to my carpool mate for for letting me borrow! LOL. The last (but not least) instrument I know how to play is that 'beat box' which I actually knew how to play even before I played one. It's for basic beats; so simple, plain, and easy to learn and might just be disregarded. Yet, music is really so dull when you don't have the 'beat'.
There is no instrument I learned how to play from a professional. Same goes for singing; I just learned them by myself but with the help and inspiration of people who know better than I do. It just means that you don't really have to be 'intelligent' nor 'rich' to learn one; as long as you love music and you're determined to learn, then there would be no problem.
Music for me is one form of happiness. Coming from a family of musicians, there's no reason for me not to love it. well, even if you don't have any experience with anything that involves music, it still won't stop you from learning and loving it. Once you love it, you'll never stop. You'd never hear yourself saying 'I'm sick of music!' nor 'I hate music!' cos you never will. Everyone can love music. Everyone can learn music. We live in a place where we're free to love and learn what we want. As long as you make music your bestfriend, then life is surely happier. :D
