Have you ever been set up on a blind date, and they were not what they seemed to be on matchmaker.com? It happens more often then not, so if you ever find yourself "Cat-fished",

Here's one card you could play, as long as your acting skills are up to date...

Pretend that you're phone just rang and answer it. Then politely excuse yourself from the "situation". It works. Just say that your kid got in trouble and is suspended, and you have to get there ASAP.

Not only will they be cool about it, but you can also play that sympathy card.

If you want to go all out, There are even apps that will "fake call" you, which would make your story that much more realistic. You can find them on the google play store, or on the apple/ IOS app store.

It gives a realistic touch to you're elaborate lie.

So just remember this article the next time you find yourself in a situation you would give your right arm to get out of. It's saved my ass many times.
