Calamity jumps in instantly without regard for his own health, not forgetting to drag a screaming Gadian with him.
Memory and the others follow happily . Mostly happily . They end up in Memory's doodlesphere , which looks normal other than the faint purple Xes over all of the papers .
"Whohooo!" Calamity cheers. "I love it! It reminds me of XGaster."
"My apologize, but I'm not sure I'm very fond of this." Gadian scrunches their face. "It reminds me of XGaster too much for my liking."
" Oh , X ? He's my friend ! He's also the reason Swap and the others want to dismember me but they're just being dramatic - we can still go somewhere else if ya want ! "
Lav is staring at Memory like ' excuse me ? '
"Any good friendship needs a little blood and gore!" Calamity wholeheartedly agrees. "I'd know! Error tear me from limb to limb all the time!"
"Just..." Gadian rubs their forehead. "Just get me out of here, please. I don't want to listen to this idiot anymore."
Memory makes a portal to an *abandoned* OuterTale . Don't want another Outer introducing others to drinking incident .
(That sounds fun.)
"Heck yeah! I love Outertale!" Calamity beams, jumping through the portal. "It reminds me of home."
Gadian casts a look around the millions of stars surrounding them all, a little smile tugs their teeth. "It's... calming."
Lavender is staring at the stars in genuine shock -
A shock that Calamity notices.
"What?" He asks cheekily. "Never seen the stars before?"
" Just .. not in a long time . " Lavender says quietly . " And certainly never this many . "
Memory is grinning , but he is tapping his fingers on his leg a bit .
"..." Gadian doesn't say anything. They, too, have never seen such a beautiful sky before. True, they have visited Outertale from time to time, even helped the Creators make some of them, but due to the nature of their work, they have never had the time to just... sit down and admire the wonder around them.
Perhaps... Perhaps it's time to take things a bit slower, after all.
"Well, we'll just have to stargaze with each other a lot more then!" Calamity beams, and then he gasps. "You can even visit my home! It used to be such a dark and empty place, but I and Error stole some stars and hung them there, and now it's the most beautiful thing ever!"
Memory grins . " Ooo , cool ! "
Lavender ruffles their wings quietly .
"Hmm, something is still missing..." Calamity snaps their phalanges. "Oh! I know!"
He puts off his oversized scarf, letting it hover slightly in the anti-gravity. With one flap, a bunch of containers falls out, filled with cookies and sandwiches and hot chocolate.
With a flourish of his Broomie, a large, checkered picnic blanket gently lands on rocky ground. Another stroke, and many plushies and blankets appear from thin air.
Calamity puts his hands on his hip. "Now it's perfect!"
Parasite gasps in awe , wishing he could do all of this cool stuff that Calamity does !
Lavender smiles and sits down with Memory beside him .
"Have a sandwich." Calamity throws several containers at them. "Don't worry! They're made by Blue so I'm sure they're edible!"
Cautiously, Gadian pries open one of the sandwiches, revealing layers of deep-fried tennis balls, neatly cut into even slices.
They look at Calamity, then at the sandwich, then at Calamity again.
"Sorry..." Said Eldritch laughs nervously. "It seems I accidentally mix up a few of my owns."
Parasite and Memory laugh . Lavender inspects a cookie just to make sure .
It is, thankfully, normal. The other cookie, however, is oozing a suspicious green liquid that emits the faint smell of acid battery.
Lavender sighs and sorts the unsafe food from the safe food .
Gadian tentatively sniffs one of them, even if it comes from the pile of safe food. When their nose just catches the wispy scent of crisp bread, smoked ham, fresh cheese, and nothing else, they nibble at the corner of the sandwich.
Chew. Swallow. Wait.
"Well," they say, satisfied, taking a much larger bite this time. "There's no poison, at least."
Lavender laughs . Memory is also eating as Parasite just . vibes
"Look!" Calamity suddenly gasps, pointing at the sky. "Shooting stars!"
Gadian complies, looking at the brightly lit sky with awe and wonder dancing inside their sockets.
Or at least, they do until Calamity suddenly grabs their shoulder and shakes them back and forth. "Hurry up and make a wish!"
Love that the oldest ones are the least mature ] and the youngest ones ( other than Neon <3 ) are the most mature ]
Lavender smiles and silently makes a wish , despite the odds of it not coming true . Memory and Parasite do the same .
(Too true.)
Gadian casts a wordless look at them before silently closing their eyes and whispering something very quiet under their breath.
Calamity...
Calamity just screams at the top of his lung. "I WISH I HAD A MILLION DOLLARS RIGHT NOW!"
A single dollar falls on Calamity's head .
Calamity blinks.
And then-
"WISHES DO COME TRUE AFTER ALL!" He screeches joyously.
They all laugh .
The wishes :
Lavender wished to be safe from his bosses , Memory wished his multiverse could be like it used to , and Parasite wished for a truce
(Everyone else: Super angsty wishes.
Calamity: MONEY!!!!)
Also, Gadian wishes that the others are't going to betray them (like Dream did.)
