I used to think communication was the key until I realized comprehension is. You can communicate all you want with someone but if they don’t understand you, its silent chaos.

Oops here come the feelings of just being a placeholder for people
becoming older than 10 years old was the biggest mistake of my life
“because i could watch you for a single minute and find a thousand things that i love about you”
— unknown
Ain’t nobody as nasty as a girl that’s in love with you
“I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I’ll love you then.”
— Cassandra Clare, City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3
“No matter how hard you try,you can never make someone love you.”

“Life is not about the destination, it’s about the journey” - We’ve all heard this phrase. We’ve all probably used it a million times too but, how many of us truly understand the meaning behind it? There are two types of people in this world, the swimmers and the floaters, the go getters and the passive bystanders. Both use the same phrase. However, one thrives while the other disappears. Why? The go getters start by setting up goals and forming a dream. They choose their destination and then figure out how to get there, that’s the fun part. They are the ones who fail over and over, get thrown off the tracks, but they never change their goals. They’re the ones who make it. On the other hand, the bystanders let life take them in whatever direction it pleases. They change their destination at every hiccup, at every detour. They let the journey dictate their destination, rather than their dreams. The key to achieving the life you want and all your dreams is to never let others decide your goals for you. If one way doesn’t work, find another- Change the path, never the destination. And in doing so, your resilient journey will determine the kind of person you are when you finally make it. This is where the journey matters. Choose a destination across the ocean and then figure out a way to get there, even if it means you have to swim and crawl. My goal, is to be a surgeon. Currently, I’m taking a detour that will make me journey a lot longer but my primary destination hasn’t changed. I plan I’m going to medical school one way or another and I will take as many detours and back roads as I need to, to get into that OR. What’s your destination? Becoming fearless isn’t the point. That’s impossible. It’s about learning how to control your fear and how to be free from it; It’s about acting in spite of fear. Have the courage to take risks and go where there are no guarantees. Get out of your comfort zone, even if it means being uncomfortable and opening up yourself to vulnerabilities. The road less travelled is often fought with barricades, bumps and uncharted terrain. But it is on that road where your character is truly tested, and you discover your true potential. Every fear that I have overcome has lead to some of the best things in my life. I was scared to move to India because I was worried I wouldn’t be able to survive the education system but I ended up confounding a company and now I have an amazing group of friends who mean the world to me. I was scared to start and graduate from college so young because I didn’t think I was ready, now Im starting an awesome job that will let me travel all over the place and have found an amazing support system as well as a place to call home. I’m scared to take 4 gap years and pushing back medical school to take care of my siblings, but I will do it and I look forward to where this road takes me. I was always told to look out into the distance whenever I was scared on a ride. Now I focus on my end goal and try to enjoy the bumpy ride. “We are all addicted to something that takes the pain away. For some it’s doing drugs every night in order to lessen the pain they feel inside. Others might tear into their own skin in attempts to just feel alive again. Where as some smoke because they need to fill their lungs with something other than that one persons name. Everyone’s addicted to something that takes the pain away. What’s your addiction?”
