That’s kind of it, I’m pretty boring
being otherkin or therian isn't always having these crazy flashbacks, backstories, dreams or shifting. Sometimes you just are
“Why aren’t there any fictionkin of nockoff media or bad shows?”
I actually have a theory for why this is, I like to call it Source Soul
Source Soul is a term I created to describe the spirit a piece of media possesses, that is usually generated by the devotion it took to create that media.
To explain it better, you need to actually love what you’re working on if you want it to be a real place (in another universe of corse)
A passionate writer can put their heart and soul into their work and eventually it may feel like a living world. That’s because it is one now. More fictionkin will realize they are a character or creature from that source because that universe is now existing, just not here.
Mock up media doesn’t have that. There is no motive behind the work besides money. So the fictional universe lacks that spark. That world has no creativity so it does not exist.

I’m back and the reason I was gone for so long was because someone who was bullying me in the ask box DMed me after I blocked them and told me my email and deadname
They were an anti otherkin that was taking things to a whole new level and I got paranoid and logged off

I feel shame for actually being dysphoric about not being my kintype
I’m trans masc and I feel dysphoric about that too sometimes, but not as much as I am dysphoric about my otherkinity. For some reason I think it’s bad to  associate being trans with being otherkin/fictionkin because they are two totally separate things and so you shouldn’t be using a word “dysphoria” when talking about otherkinity because that’s mainly used for trans folk. But at the same time, I know what I’m feeling.
But idk I’m just really confused and sad rn
