Hello out there, I´m rollerderby referee since 2011, but I still have to learn a lot ( the proper use of my laptopkeyboard and since I´m not a native english speaker the proper use of the english grammar and stuff like that). I´ll started this, because i´ve seen so many other derby blogs and had the feeling, that there are still some things that have to be shared. so I started this and wait, what it becomes.

Why Are Not Playing? Wouldn´t That Be Fun, Too?

Last week I was told to go to the newbie-training and teach them. I got a plan, detailed and up-to-date for all the newbies. In the end we had a small part with bridging, light contact. I had fun, standing in the wall, blocking, getting blocked, untill I fell ( not small) and the Jammer tripped over me. A clear low block, noone got injured but I realised, why I didn´t play for 2 years. It´s just nothing for me anymore, the thought of injuring other persons because of my blocking ( legal or illegal) just paralyses me. Anyone else has that feeling?
