And the final 2 pieces for Robtober, ironically the two most well known Liefeld creations at the end, which gave me enough momentum to finish this up. And here it is, Robtober 2023. I wonder what ‘tober challenge I’ll do next year?

Here are more Robtober, I’m almost done. There were maybe 2 older pieces just so I could get a head start on the next ones so I could do this daily. Riptide in the album is one, Bloodwulf from an earlier album is the other older piece I put in there.

Here is Part 2 of my Robtober. A few of them were done in my sketchbook at work, a lot of them were on 5x5 eon boards, but a few were done in full 9”x12” Bristol board depending if I felt the piece needed more than a headshot.

I was pre occupied with Robtober last month. Basically, just me drawing Rob Liefeld creations for the entire month. Here’s the fist set & since I can only do 10 pics at a time, here are the first 9 along with the checklist.

And here’s the last of my Robtober pieces, arguably the two most recognizable Rob Liefeld characters ever in that 31 character list, which was refreshing in a Tober challenge list.

Here’s Part 3 of my Robtober. Out of this set, Riptide is a piece that I did a while back again to buy my some time to do the rest of these. I was unfamiliar with a few characters in here, particularly Ca$h Carter.

Here is part two of my Robtober pieces. I really liked my Stryfe piece & am surprised that I got that done while leaving lunch at work. Glory was also another one that I enjoyed.

I haven’t posted on here for a bit so I’m now about to dump all of the Robtober pieces I did last month. Here are the first 9 with a checklist. Out of this album, only Bloodwulf was an older piece. I did this maybe a few times just to give myself time to do draw some of the others. Most of my pieces were on 5”x5” Eon board, I had a few on 9x12 Bristol & a few were done in my sketchbook on my lunch break at my day job.

I was hanging out with Cartoon Block last night for a bit & we all were practicing inking on Galactus. I didn’t think that the printer paper I used would have survived the ink wash. Special thanks to Jayden Brown for hosting this tutorial, inking isn’t one of my strong suits.

Here is the end result of my awkward unboxing. Blackwing Vol. 57 Jean-Michel Basquiat. Soft lead usually isn’t my thing, but these are nice. My Volumes box included a box of pencils (12), an extra pencil in an archival tube & matching eraser. My only knock was the box wasn’t glued properly so it kind of fell apart on me, but I don’t get pencils for the box.
