MADDOX TURNER

Maddox sighed and pulled his coat close around himself as he walked toward the Boathouse. Now that he knew that Tarryn and the Salem circle were in town, he was uncertain and he hated feeling uncertain. And his conversation with Gray had stirred up a million emotions that he’d been doing his best to suppress since leaving his old circle for the Balcoin’s. But things were already in motion and couldn’t be stopped. Cain had gotten Diana back to town, but hadn’t made any contact since. And it was only a matter of time before Tarryn confronted him or Lux. Right now he couldn’t think about that. Pushing open the door of the Boathouse, he slid up to the bar next to Derek and smiled.

“Alright,” he chuckled, turning to the bartender. Maddox looked her directly in the eyes and smirked. She stared back for a moment before her breathing slowed down some. “What can I get for you?” she asked him, smiling again. “I’ll have a rum and coke,” he answered easily and she nodded, pouring him a drink. He took it and grinned at his brother. “And there you go. The power of persuasion,” he laughed and took a sip from his glass.

While watching his brother he couldn’t help but to feel proud over Maddox. It was a simple spell but at least he knew his brother isn’t going to be weak if there come a time that they will need to fight. He just smiled at Maddox and took a sip of his beer. Only if Cain can see this “I should have taken a video of that I’m sure Cain or Lux will love it” he replied. He then looked at his bottle “So how are you? Not that we don’t see each other every time but I mean with your friend” he said looking at his brother. Not sure how would he react with his other siblings’ old friend in town. Though he warned Gray, not to hurt any of siblings, he can see that Gray person isn’t the one who hurt his friends but Derek was just making everything is alright.

Derek is not panicking no he wasn’t panicking in fact he was just standing by the street trying to call Cain for a thousand times.

Baby sitting his younger siblings is fine because he can do that but seeing his old friends is more than he can take or maybe just her. He never admitted it to anyone but Aaliyah Porter is the kryptonite that will kill him someday. That’s why he never told his other siblings about it –well Cain knew but Cain purposely told him that he should forget Liyah and do what their father wants him to do. 

And he did he broke up with her told her that he doesn’t love her and left the circle. Pretty easy right? But that was the moment that the old Derek died. It was hard, but having this dark magic will not exactly keep her safe. So he mustered everything up and put his wall so high that no one can see that Derek was broken. That Derek is nothing to the Derek that he let his other siblings see in him.  Derek cursed as he got Cain’s voicemail and just threw the phone sighing.

Then there she was walking, she didn’t see him but he did. She was beautiful as ever and the old Derek is trying to pull down that invisible wall so he could run towards her. But the new Derek didn’t he just stared at her until he realized that there is a car coming and Liyah as always was lost in her thoughts. If he don’t do anything she will get hurt that is for sure. So without thinking he looked at his hand and forcefully stopped the car from moving. Then he angrily went towards her and led her to the side “What the hell are you thinking Aaliyah!” he shouted as he looked at the driver in the car and after a second as if him and Liyah wasn’t in the area, the car drove away. He then turned back at her and he could feel himself shaking.

Freaking strategist my ass!

Tired of waiting he went in and looked around, the boathouse wasn’t that bad but he liked his place much better. He sat by the counter and ordered a beer smiling at the girls who looked at his way. He always has a plan he knew that but right now there is no plan and he hated it. Hopefully spending time with Maddox will make him forget everything.  He felt his brother slide beside and smiled “now let me see how charming are you?” his eyes glinting mischievously as he looked at Maddox then to the person behind the counter.
