So since I decided to rebuild the blog entirely and start over with Sam ( new name new blog tweak her back story and all that ) I’m thinking of changing the FC I’m open to suggestions even if your suggestion is to keep Blake. Dmitri arched a brow, glancing over at her and chuckling. “I mean, spaghetti was your idea, so if you don’t want to make it, that’s fine with me. Besides, all the cool adults have cookies and ice cream for dinner anyway.” Dmitri pointed out as he greased up a cookie sheet, rolling some cookie dough into a ball and placing it on the sheet carefully, continuing to do that until the entire sheet was filled.
“Ice cream and cookies!” Sam cheered putting the pot away and watching Dmitri tray the carefully rolled balls of dough. When his back was turned, Sam quickly snatched a ball of dough and popped it in her mouth looking at him innocently and batting her lashes before she nonchalantly turned to the freezer to get the ice cream. She ate the dough quickly but tried to talk while she did so, “What kind do you want?” she mumbled.
“Zoe– for the love of God.” Jamie gently rocked his one year old in his arm. “I swear if you stop crying now I will get you the car you want at sixteen. I’ll get you a fucking Range Rover if you just stop– crying.” He sighed deeply as he once again tried to soothe her with one of her stuffed animals, but the little toy bear was tossed around the room. As there was a loud knock on the door, Jamie groaned and closed his eyes. “I’m fucking trying!” He yelled, walking over to the door. He swung it open and he swallowed when his eyes landed on his neighbor. He hadn’t actually talked to her before, but he knew her. “I’m trying okay– Trust me.”
Sam had just gotten home from a sixteen hour shift to hear her neighbor’s baby crying. Usually she just ignored it until the baby settled down and she was able to sleep but tonight the poor thing seemed inconsolable. Sam tried her best to drone out the noise with headphones but she couldn’t get comfortable so she got up and went next door, knocking loudly so the parent could hear her. She was pretty sure it was a single father as she had never seen a woman at the apartment before. When the exhausted daddy dearest answered she arched her brow at him. Clearly he thought she was there to complain.
“I uh just wanted to see if I could help,” she said before gesturing to the infant, “Mind if I-?” she asked nodding to the little girl who was still crying and fussing angrily.
“So do you think your bestie can get a dance too?” Jamie curled up a smile as he looked down at his best friend who had just gotten married. “I can’t believe you’re married now.” He whispered as he pulled her a little closer to him. Jamie didn’t want her to get married, though he was never vocal about it. He didn’t like the guy at all. But the main reason of it all was basically that he had been head over heels in love with her since they went to college together and all they had ever been was best friends. Simply because he was too scared to speak up. “You look so beautiful.”
“Of course you can have a dance, Jamie,” Sam said stepping up and adjusting her skirts around her legs. Things had gotten better now that she was used to her prosthetic. “Nothing crazy now,” she teased curling her arms around his neck and letting him lead. She giggled and looked at the ring on her finger before looking over her shoulder where Mason stood with her parents. “Yeah it’s weird, when I met him marrying him was the last thing I thought I’d be doing. He’s not exactly my type but- I think he loves me, he loves me don’t you think?” she found herself asking Jamie as she looked at him with slight concern. She smiled when he said she looked beautiful and felt a blush dust her cheeks as she dropped her head in a hand. “Oh stop,” she giggled grinning up at him. “You clean up pretty nicely yourself, Jamie, might get the Maid of Honor’s attention tonight,” she joked with a warm smile.
Thomas had just found out his aunt who had taught him to play guitar had just passed away. As he sulked in his room, he just kept drinking whiskey from the bottle, wanting everything to just go away. To his dismay, he heard the door open and saw his ex-girlfriend standing in the door way. “Fuck off.” He stated, his words slurred. When she began walking towards him, he smashed his bottle against the wall. “I said fuck off!” He shouted before collapsing into his desk chair, his head in his hands.
Sam watched Thomas closely and flinched as the whiskey bottle shattered on the wall beside her. She had seen Thomas mad before but never quite this- hurt. It was different from his angry outbursts he would sometimes have when they were dating, it was different from the look he wore when they broke up, he was devastated and Sam wasn’t sure she’d have the right words to say to help him. She moved closer when he fell into his desk chair, hands in his hair and face hidden. She knelt in front of him and hesitated before deciding touching him was probably the last thing he wanted. God she was so bad at comforting people. “I’m so sorry Thomas, she was an amazing woman,” Sam said softly, “But you should play for her, at the funeral, I’m sure she would have loved that. Maybe you can write her song, hm? Tell her goodbye that way?”
{ Dmitri }:
Dmitri chuckled quietly, shaking his head and looking down at the apron he wore. It was in fact the one that Sam’s dad got him for Christmas. It was nice to have a father figure that actually approved of what he did, so he wore it virtually all the time. He glanced away for two seconds to glance at the recipe, smirking to himself as Sam swiped some cookie dough from the bowl. “Get your grubby little hands out of my bowl.” He teased, playfully swatting at her hands and leaning his head on top of hers. “It’s okay babe, you’ve just got a lot on your mind…” He murmured, looking down at her and smiling a little. “I love you too…” He murmured, catching her lips in a kiss before pulling back. “Now, if you don’t mind, I need to put these on a tray to bake. Maybe I’ll let you lick the bowl when I’m done.”
Sam giggled and skipped away when Dmitri swatted at her hands and she moved away from him so he could start putting cookies on the sheet. “Oh I love when you let me lick the bowl!” she said clapping lightly before getting the pasta pot out to start the spaghetti. She set it on the stove and gave him a curious look. “Do we really need spaghetti to go with our cookies? I mean, we’re adults can’t we just have ice cream and cookies instead?” she asked with a pout.
{ Dmitri }:
Dmitri smiled, nodding a little at her request. He could do a surprise… though uber gooey chocolate chip cookies sounded like heaven. Nothing was more therapeutic than a good cookie, especially if it was soft and mushy and chocolatey. He smiled at the slap to his ass, flashing her a small wink before he turned and walked to the kitchen, immediately getting to work on the cookies.
Sam quickly unpacked and gave the room a once over, she settled on the bed for a minute and just took a few deep breathes before changing into her lounge pants and one of Dmitri’s tee, tying her hair up in a messy knot on top of her and washing her face. She rarely wore makeup, just some eyeliner sometimes but she liked cleaning her face. It helped her calm down. Once she was clean she brushed her teeth and found Dmitri in the kitchen. “I hope you’re wearing the apron my dad got you,” she teased peeking over the table to see if Kiss the Cook was written across the chest of whatever he might be wearing. She found the bowl of cookie dough and when she thought Dmitri wasn’t looking she dipping her finger in the dough and scooped some out to pop in her mouth innocently. “Chocolate chip huh? Perfect, like you,” she walked around the table after cleaning her finger and dropping her head to Dmitri’s shoulder, kissing his neck chastely. “I’m sorry I went crazy I’ve just been weird lately, but you’re really great you know that?” she asked lifting her eyes to him. “I love you,” she whispered into his ear before kissing his cheek.
{ Dmitri }:
“Cookies and spaghetti sound like the best night ever.” Dmitri assured with a soft smile, pushing her hair back from her face to lightly kiss her forehead. At that, he stood up himself and pulled his own long hair into a small ponytail, at least attempting to keep it out of his eyes. “I’ll get to work on those while you unpack. What kind do you want?” He asked sweetly, offering her a smile as he wiped away the remainder of his tears.
Sam smiled warmly up at Dmitri as he kissed her forehead and then stood. She watched as he fussed with his own hair and she tied hers up out of her face with a sniffle, clearing her throat and then humming at his question. “That’s a tough question, nothing makes everything better like chocolate chip but it’s fall so snickerdoodles sound really good too,” she thought aloud before kissing Dmitri on the nose and saying, “Surprise me. I love surprises.” She lightly smacked his rear as she walked behind him to where her half-full suitcase lay on the bed and began unpacking it.

“I mean, B-Bucky’s cute and all, but he’s n-not Steve Rogers…” Grace shrugged a little, managing a slightly bigger smile. “N-No one will ever be b-better than Steve Rogers though. N-Not even Scott Lang, and he’s p-pretty great too. Maybe that’s j-just because he’s played b-by Paul Rudd in the movies, and w-who doesn’t love Paul Rudd?” Grace asked with a soft chuckle. She shook her head at her question, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear with trembling fingers. “N-No, I hear it’s good though… I sh-should try and watch it before the s-spinoff goes on Netflix, but I-I’m not sure when I’ll get to it. I-I have a lot in my N-Netflix queue.”
“Oh Antman? I didn’t see that one but I loved him in Civil War he was so cute, fangirling over Steve like that,” Sam said laughing softly. “We got to watch Captain America during my first tour overseas, it was kinda like a propaganda thing. Like “hey look here’s an American hero just like you” type of thing, it was fun though,” Sam said smiling at Grace. She looked at the screen playing Stranger Things while Grace spoke and nodded in understanding. “I have a ton in my que, too. Shameless, Gilmore Girls, Grey’s Anatomy, Supernatural, some documentaries, it’s a mess really,” Sam explained rolling her eyes and giggling lightly. Sam looked around Grace’s room briefly and noticed the school books. “Are you still in school or are those college books?”

Dmitri nodded, sighing softly as she kissed away his tears. He caressed her face gently, pulling away long enough to move off his knees and sit on the bed beside her. Once he was in place, he pulled Sam to his side and pressed kisses to the top of her head. “I love you too… let’s not do that anymore, okay? We’re gonna be fine… no need to run away, I promise.” He assured Sam softly, hugging her tighter to him and nuzzling his face to her hair. “Let’s get you unpacked and get some food, okay? All those emotions really gave me an appetite..”
Watching Dmitri stand, Sam wiped at her cheeks and took a steadying breath as she tried to calm herself down. When he pulled her into his side, Sam dropped her head to his shoulder and curled an arm around his middle just holding him to her as she turned her head into his shoulder. She nodded at his words and smiled lightly as he nuzzled into her hair and she gripped onto his shirt. “I’m sorry,” she said softly, “I shouldn’t have freaked out like that,” she said lifting her head to look at him. She kissed him softly and pulled herself to her feet and turned to the suitcase on the bed. “I’ll unpack if you wanna start dinner or if you want you can make some of those cookies you mentioned? I’ll make us spaghetti for dinner?”

Marcus sighed heavily. “We go through this every single day.” The male pointed out. “I love you, but I let you know how I feel about being a dad.” he told her again.He let out a sigh in frustration, “just d r o p it. Harassing me every time I walk in the door doesn’t make me want to change my mind.”
Sam’s jaw set as she looked at the cat but listened to Marcus. She knew she had been pushing for a baby kind of hard recently but she didn’t know it was bugging him so much. She was young and she wanted a family. Her stepfather was older for a parent when he married her mother and had her mother been younger Sam would have had a sibling. She kept her eyes on the feline and scratched under the cat’s chin. “Well a cat isn’t going to change mine, either,” she said turning around to continue cooking the pasta they would have for lunch.
