DMMD Poly!Au: Strip Poker

Aoba’s feeling pretty confident after two drinks, but loses most of the rounds.

Koujaku believes he has the best poker face (he doesn’t).

Noiz starts losing every round just to tease everyone with his stripping.

Ren shows up wearing three sweaters and a few different hats. 

Mizuki decides not to play because watching this fiasco will be far more entertaining.

And Mink’s the only one who actually knows how to play poker. 

However, they all end up losing to Clear.

RYUUHOU IS BASED ON A SHORT STORY CALLED “SHISEI” BY JUNICHIRO TANIZAKI

the story is about a tattoo artist called seikichi who does the traditional style of tattooing, tebori/irezumi. like ryuuhou. he is kind of psychologically warped, and has a “secret pleasure, and secret desire” to watch “men in agony” as he “drove needles into them”. the story tells about how he used to be an ukiyo painter, and he fell in social status and then became a renowned tattooer, creating art across peoples’ bodies like canvasses.

seikichi sees a woman, one day, and is infatuated with her beauty, but cannot meet her. a short while later, though, she appears at his door carrying a parcel. he asks her to let him tattoo her, and she refuses, so he drugs her and kidnaps her. 

i’ll steal this bit from an article, it explains it better. “  The next morning Seikichi started his masterpiece on the sleeping woman. He did not stop until he finished his work of art.  After Seikichi finished, the woman started to move about, the spider that Seikichi tattooed on the woman’s back moved as she did. His artwork was now alive and this gave him great pleasure.” 

the story then goes on to show that ultimately seikichi’s greatest creation destroyed him, but despite that he died smiling. 

now, i would probably write all this off as a coincidence given the dmmd writers, were it not for one particular character who ryuuhou has tattooed in canon:

the girl with the spider whom koujaku recognizes instantly.

Oh that's very sad. I love your SlyBlue / Desire. :( The thread we began together was so interesting. But if you don't feel like continuying, it's better you stop. Are you going to rp as another character, maybe? Or do you stop rping as well?

I will be continuing this blog, I will just be resetting the relationships and threads as though I’m a new blog.I’ll still be Sly and we can do other threads <3

write me a 500 page novel about Clear and his gramps and his gramps seeing Clear at the alpha factory and thinking “i can’t throw him away” and then he takes Clear home and wakes him up and Clear is like a baby bird and doesn’t know anything and he just smiles innocently as his gramps explains to him that he can’t show his face to anyone and that he isn’t allowed to sing because he’s secretly afraid Clear will sing grand music and somehow he’ll be found. 

and then talk to me about how his gramps would sit in his chair and read to him from a storybook like a child and Clear would keep interrupting and asking so many questions and his gramps would laugh at him and explain the best he could and he and his gramps would go out for walks together and Clear would say “what do you call this, what is this, what’s that?” and his gramps would tell him the name of all the flowers and birds and he’d spot a vinyl umbrella in a shop and wonder why it reminds him of Clear and he goes in and gives it to Clear and it isn’t until they’re both home in their little broken down house surrounded by garbage that he thinks, “i haven’t given him a name yet” and he can’t think of anything that fits the strange, childlike robot until he spots a book about jellyfish and thinks about how transparent Clear is, with no ulterior motives and nothing cruel to him and how all he wishes for Clear is to float to life easily like a jellyfish with nothing bad ever happening to him and that’s just not possible because of who they both are, and how Clear will be alone one day, and what’s worse, he’s getting old and living in such a place isn’t good for him, in fact it makes him weaker and weaker every day.

imagine his gramps being the one, while sitting in a chair and slightly tipsy, telling Clear “you know a man’s greatest fantasy is to come home to his wife in an apron and cooking him a delicious meal” and Clear takes everything his gramps says to heart and he nods seriously and imagine Clear when his grandfather suddenly collapses to the ground one day and can’t walk anymore and instead lies in bed, making sure to tell Clear over and over not to show his face to anyone and Clear promising and watching his grandfather close his eyes and breathing softly softly and then not breathing at all anymore.

but then think about how his grandfather would decide to teach Clear the jellyfish song, just in case he needs it one day, and imagine how proud he would be of Clear for using the song they created together to save the person Clear loves most in the world.

Imagine how proud his grandfather would be, knowing that Clear has found someone that he can trust to show his face, someone who accepts him for everything, and imagine his grandfather telling him that he’s always always always been human.

Yeah totally! I’ve been swallowed up by Starfighter but making a new blog should get me back into this fandom
