After the execution, you all returned to your cabins, a short sigh leaving your lips.
This had become so regular...the routing of death. You wanted to say perhaps it all bothered you...But it didn't.
What bothered you was that the idea of someone dying had become natural.
You tried to push these thoughts to the deeper crevasses of your mind, hoping you could focus on...something...anything else.
Like, the vibrant but dangerous looking clouds that started to form up in the yellow tinted sky. Across the land on the other side of the wall, you could see there was something similar happening over there. Strange...Maybe a motive come early? You wouldn't doubt it.
Suddenly you heard a voice calling out to you, glancing up to the top of the wall, where Di and their counterpart stood.
{☀ Hi everyone...Well see the thing is uh...sorta an...urgent matter at hands here...But it would be peachy if ya know...got inside.
The sky rumbled and started to break into bolts of bright light.
{☀OOOOOOOOOOOOKAY YEAH EVERYONE INSIDE, NOW.
You didn't protest, racing into the closest shelter and shutting the door, taking small glances outside as the sky seemed to open up and rain down bolts of lightning so bright it hurt your eyes.
It all escalated, until strikes of lightning hit every moment, making you breath shallowly over the fear that your shelter might be hit.
The ground shook, bolts hitting the earth every so often, and with one final glimpse outside, it seemed like the world around you was...breaking down.
This was unlike any storm you'd ever been through.
Suddenly with a flash of bright white light, the entire world disappeared from your sight...Mostly because you had to look away from the light.
All you heard were the sounds of screams and the crumbling and crashing of a very very large mass.
With the votes in and nothing else but muffled sobs left to be said, the room fell black as if a curtain of darkness fell to put a closure to Gyo’s last minutes. He closed his eyes tight in fear as he waited for his death. Everyone else has brutal deaths. He was going to follow. He shook with the idea of succumbing to that sort of end. He shook like a small dog - his whole frame moving in fright. He was uncertain how long until he opened his eyes but the sound of a quiet humming and a distant beeping brought his attention away from his inevitable demise. Gyo glanced down at his wrist to see a round, cold, metallic bracelet and a cold, dark room with familiar tolls and scrap pieces lying around.
He tried to pull the bracelet off. The distant beeping came from it, he realized. All he managed to do from his struggle was injury his wrist. He moved over to a wrench to get it off but as soon as he picked it up, he heard another beep from his bracelet.
"BUILD THE PERFECT FATHER" read on the screen of the bracelet. He watched the words roll across the screen. His eyes widened as he pulled everything together in a pile. Frantically, he started to work. He grabbed piece after piece and put them on the frame he was given in what felt like an old garage. The sweat was dripping down his forehead as he fought to hold the tears back so he could see what he was doing. His hands shook helplessly as he worked, dropping his tools several times.
As things were looking up and he had enough time to finish his masterpiece, he heard a bang. He jumped and his action knocked the robot he had nearly finished to the ground. The machine scattered. Pieces flew across the room and frantically he moved to grab them. He fell a couple times to grab them even and finish the machine.
In all his fear and work, he didn’t realize the effects they were having on him. His hands were dripping with blood and his face pale like a fresh blanket of snow. He was working himself to death quite literally.
It felt like days before Gyo had the robot finished. Before him stood a replica of a man he very well had hoped to see again - his father. The robot was a piece of art and out ranked any other robot on the markets today. The metallic skin was without a blemish. The eyes glowed an ruby red and looked at the pale, tired boy in front of him. As Gyo stepped back, another beep came from his bracelet and a shock to his heart. He clutched his chest as he fell to floor at the feet of the machine he made. His body could no longer handle the stress it had endured and the puppeteer controlling all of this was not satisfied with the beauty of his work. His body stopped moving but his hands were still clutched to his chest, right above his heart.
"ERROR: NO HEART" read on his watch for a moment longer before a ding was heard switching the text to "HEART ATTAINED. GOAL ACCOMPLISHED."
Gyo was long dead when those words appeared. The roboticist was executed for his crimes.
Skye hated to do this but since there was no other way she voted for Gyo.
Five votes for Gyo.One for Kuro.
The Bad Guy | Rosa | Re: Kuro
"SHUDDAP."
Rosa had walked straight up to Kuro, no hesitation, however it was not a hug or anything like that. The girl's hand was across Kuro's face before anyone could blink or move to stop her. A harsh look crossed Rosa's face. The talk she had with Lars...
"We dare no' challenge 'at jerk because 'here has already been 'wo games! 'wo successful games migh' I add! So many died 'here, we have no reason 'o believe 'at we will no' die like 'hey did! We are... WE ARE 'RYIN' 'O SURVIVE!"
"IF YOU DARE 'HINK WE LIKE SENDIN' PEOPLE 'O 'HEIR DEA'HS, 'HINK AGAIN! I... None of us are heroes. Now of us can be. I jus' I'll have 'o be 'he bad guy here, and 'ell you 'o grow up. 'His game..."
"I' is abou' lookin' ou' for number one, and number one only. Kuro, lis'en and lis'en hard. Grow up, and realize 'at 'his world we're in... is no' black and whi'e."
She easily grabbed the front of Kuro's top, pulling her the short distance down, and glared into Kuro's eyes.
"S'op your whinin', and realize 'he fuckin' si'ua'ion we're in..."
She let out a deep breath, and it seemed she had been holding that in for a while.
Gyo, through tear filled eyes and shaky hands, voted for himself. He couldn't say anything else- Not even to Kuro to try to help her calm down before he's inevitably whisked away to his death.
Four votes for Gyo.
One vote for Kuro.
A moment of hesitation as she looks at the buttons. All the names she wishes she could vote for. Lars, Skye, Kenta, Rosa, everyone. She wants to vote for them for murdering but she's just as guilt and places a vote finally for herself.
Three votes for Gyo.
One vote for Kuro.
Wow that was a long starbucks line | Kurosawa | Re: all the lil shits in the room
She couldn't do it. Not again. She had tried but she felt useless. Too afraid to witness a corpse even though it wasn't the first. Too afraid to speak up when she knew nothing. She was a coward. She couldn't even help despite all she talked. Why was she feeling this much guilt? She wished she was dead instead. Was this her luck? Everyone died around her as she lived.
Then things turned to Gyo.
"Sh-shut up! Stop it! It's not... it's not him!"
Her hands tightened on the podium. Despite the stutter, her words were storng but it was am empty threat. An empty promise. She was empty.
"Gyo couldn't have."
He confessed. The tears running down his face mirrored her own. Except where fear was, there was guilt, remorse, angry, and many other emotions. She slammed her hand down on the podium.
"Y-YOU'RE GOING TO DO IT AGAIN, AREN'T YOU? YOU'RE GOING TO SEND SOMEONE TO THEIR DEATHS, YOU SELFISH MONSTERS! LOOK AT ALL OF YOU! LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE BECOME!"
She hissed angrily, looking at everyone with tears in our eyes. Hatred of each oerson in the room. They were going to vote for him. No, they were voting for him. Those beats. Those heartless, bastards. Every damn time they voted without hestation, didn't they? They rather send someone to their demise than face death themselves. No one even considered the idea of testing the mastermind behind all of this. No one even tried to call that robotic pipsqueak on his bluff. They just fell in line like sheep to a slaughter. Pushing someone in front so they could postpone the inevitable.
"Don't give me any of the bullshit that this is the only course of action. That you'll die if you don't. It would be better if you all died. Selfishly voting.. taking away another's life for yours... All of you.. you disgust me..."
Her hatred turned to tears as she cast her vote. Her frame was shaking from crying and holding in her anger.
"I... I promised him... I promised. Yassy... I'm s-sorry."
Her words were muffled as she held her tongue so she didn't show all of her weakness. She couldn't stop now. If she had acted sooner, she could have saved him. If she was by his side during the motive, she could have stopped him. If she didn't encourage him to come, he wouldn't be here. If she wasn't here, if she had taken her own life, would he still be ok? Everyone died around her.
Yassy... please... I'm so sorry.... I'm...
"I hate you all. I hope you go to hell for what you have done. All of you..."
Those were her last words as she fell silent. It was too late, wasn't it? She would lose someone else. Death would take a second. What else would follow after that? Everyone was going to die around her and she would be left all alone in her misery because she was lucky enough to survive death but not the hell it brought with it.
Frowning, Kenta locked in his vote for Gyo.
Three votes for Gyo.
The village (Rosa) is voting for Gyo.
Two votes for Gyo.
Realization | Rosa | Re: Gyo
"Gyo-san..."
This was a third murderer. This would be a third person to be executed. This... was hurtful. It hurt. Seeing more people die.
She wanted to scream. She could say nothing else, as her eyes connected with the voting, and she locked in her vote.
The truth we pursue, as we all beg you to- | Kenta | ATTN: Gyo
A sigh of relief escaped Kenta's lips as he put his shoe, a green canvas sneaker, back on. He then turned to face the roboticist, a serious look on his face.
♪ ○ ♪ ...... Well, that settles it. Gyo-kun, you did it, didn't you? You killed Hunter-kun.
It certainly would explain the behavior of the other. It pained Kenta to accuse everyone of murder... it really did... but, the footprint matched Gyo's...
Sobbing noises | Gyo | RE: Skye, Lars
Gyo shook under the pressure from Lars and Skye- It'd been so long since someone was ever actually angry with him, he didn't know how to react. So he started crying.
" I---I-I.... I-I'm so-so-sorry... I- T-The paranoia- I didn't- I mean I did- But I-I... "
" I-I did it! I-I k-k-killed him! I'm sorry! I'm s-sorry! I-I.... "
At least we know he's not going to take death like an adult.
I'm too lazy to log back into my personal but Lars votes for Gyo.
One vote for Gyo.
Lars | Trial | ATTN: Gyo
"You idiot."
His voice came out in a low growl, gaze focused intently on the smaller boy.
"Out with it. Your print seems to match."
Kenta also compares his foot to the footprint. Just to be safe, y'know?
Kenta's shoe is ever so slightly bigger than the print.
.....||Skye Travers|| ATTN: Gyo/Everyone
Well, at least Lars seemed to be innocent. But from what she noticed it seemed that Gyo may be the culprit after all. Sure, Kenta didn't compare his foot to the footprint but Gyo's behavior was also very odd. Sure, maybe he was a rather nervous person in general but it still felt odd to her. She knew she shouldn't jump to any conclusions but taking the initiative might be good for once instead of being passive.
"....Gyo...did you do it? Did you kill Hunter? "
She asked in a very serious manner not wanting to be polite about it. But if he really was the killer then she was going to make him confess his crime no matter what.
