A white colleague of mine who constantly complains to my director about my work ethic and attendance said she loved my sun dress and asked where she could get one at for her daughter.

I told her it was one of a kind and that I bought it at a street market in my country (Cuba). She jokingly said she’d buy it from me. I said I’d sale it to her.

Guess who just removed the label off a sun dress I bought from Old Navy 4 years ago on Clarence for $5 and sold for $125.

I’ve seen this a couple times on Facebook and no no no no. This is borderline abusive. Maybe a father would send this, but a boyfriend???

“It’s hard because I’ve always been a tremendously good person” What are you implying about your girlfriend there, pal?

“When I text you, you are to answer” Okay mom. Seriously. She’s your girlfriend, let her have fun instead of having to check her phone constantly.

Don’t patronize your partner and act like they’re your child. Going to a party doesn’t mean they value parties over you. And if you have to remind your girlfriend not to cheat multiple times maybe you should reevaluate your trust issues. Don’t give your girlfriend a fucking curfew. If you can’t trust her to be reasonable at a party to the point that you send her a fucking book of rules, then maybe you shouldn’t be together.

Seriously. Significant others aren’t your possessions/children.

The sad part is that shit like this really happens there are men out there that think this is normal. And if you don’t stop it early on it just gets worse, talking from experience..really messes you up when you still get haunted by this behavior years later

Implying moral superiority, using how much he supposedly cares about the girl to justify being controlling, checking in on her and bossing her around, and making her feel bad for going to a party with other people which can be the first step in isolating someone from their friends and family.

These are all huge red flags. Do not ignore them. Do not justify them. Leave him.

Botanists across the US are trying to figure out why so many titan arums – better known as corpse flowers – are blooming simultaneously around the country this year.

This is super weird, because there have only been 157 recorded blooms ever between 1889 and 2008. But this year in the US alone, at least seven flowers have bloomed.

Woman calls 911 during traffic stop because she fears a cop, who eventually attacks her

Earledreka White was pulled over for crossing the double white line. She was so afraid of this cop she decided to call 911.And as it turned out she wasn’t wrong about him.

“I would like another officer to come out here,” she says to the dispatcher. “My heart is racing. I’m really afraid.” After that she says the dispatcher she felt “harrassed” and that’s when officer started grabbing her arm. Apparently these words really offended him.

As the result of the encounter she was placed in handcuffs and taken into custody. She spent 2 days in jail, fearing she would never come out of it , like Sandra Bland.

“Being pulled over is not the troubling part — what happened after being pulled over is what baffles me,” White told the newspaper. “As I tell the dispatcher that this man is threatening to ‘Tase’ me, he backs away, then comes back and literally tries to break my arm.”

Even when you act within the law you are in danger.
