One is never “just a fan.” Without fans, the entire idea of drum corps would be nearly meaningless. If you have a car, but no engine, you aren’t going to go anywhere. If you have a performing ensemble, but no audience, the ensemble is just making shapes and noise.

So, even if you are past your eligible marching days and never set foot on field, or if you are still young but never plan to, don’t devalue yourself as part of this activity.

We are all on the same team, whether we are the ones going crazy on the field or the ones going crazy in the stands. We are the drum corps community.

is anyone else annoyed by the stereotype that young people’s phones are a loud and annoying device? because i have never heard anyone under 30 who doesn’t have their phone on vibrate. like 100% of the time if the marimba ringtone starts blaring it’s the older generations.

straight boys are weak and pathetic, queer girls walk into the ladies changing room and see ten women naked, do they stare? do they say something inappropriate? do they make them uncomfortable? no because they have the common fucking sense to recognise when a situation is sexual and that people deserve the most basic level of respect to not be harassed, yet here we are banning shorts and low cut tops in school because straight boys are weak and pathetic
